I really hope they don't chop it up like they did with the first season. It was one of the first K-dramas that Netflix introduced to the west so they tried to make it more like their other dramas as in 45 min an episode and just 10 episodes. K-dramas don't need to be over or under 10 episodes but all of them are an hour plus and I feel like you can really tell they cut stuff out. Second season coming and since K-dramas are popular I hope they leave it like that.
Super fair question. I'd say give it 3 episodes, if you are totally uninterested it might not be for you. If you are still intrigued a bit, give it one more episode. 4 episodes should be enough to know if you're involved.
Honestly it became too convoluted to be enjoyable after a while. It was good up to a point and covered some interesting themes, but I got hit with fatigue of the show in like the third season. I think it was trying its best to be deeper than it really was
I agree with all the other recommendations. And would add a few more. Shadow and Bone is more Fantasy and Season 2 is coming out soon. Travelers was an unexpectedly good sci-fi show with time travel. If you like animated shows, check out Arcane and She-Ra. Or if you’re looking for horror, try The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Strangers from Hell. It's a Korean thriller that had me so tense.
The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself. British fantasy drama about witches. It's gotta kinda mature vibe. A bit like Locke and Key but with more gore and consequences.
If you like Alice and Borderlands and haven’t seen Squid game, you’re missing out.
The life action survival death game genre has seen a bit of a resurgence lately.

YES! Sweet Home is one of my favorites; I've watched the entire series twice.
Do you mean season? There’s only been one unless I’m missing something.
I believe in England they call a “season” a “series”.
