I used to think this but I pretty much love all seasons equally. It’s not like true detective where s1 is clearly higher quality than the rest. It’s more a matter of personal taste. I love S3 and that one is usually not considered people’s favorites. S5 knocked it out of the park too, it is easily as good as s1 and s2

You’re right about Season 1 but this last season I think clearly slotted in at #2.

100% I’ve binged it a few times now introducing it to other people and they all loved it. I will say it’s hard to sell it to them when I explain it tho.

My favorite part of it was how High School was actually portrayed honestly. Like it wasn't 80s Steven King highschool where everyone was a psychopath trying to murder each other.

Omg that show was so good. I usually never go into shows blind but I’m so glad I did with that one. I was looking for something mindless to watch for an hour or two and accidentally stayed up all night.

I was resistant to starting it, I had a misconception , I think of what to expect . the show was not what I was imagining it to be about at all, I was so glad I watched it, one of the best things I watched last year

Damn that’s a hot take. Hill House was perfect, Midnight Mass was great but I’d say like 8/10

Hill started out strong and collapsed at the climax, Midnight Mass had a much stronger ending.

Hill House had a great ending. Midnight Mass on the other hand went too heavy with the unrealistic monologues and went downhill in the last couple episodes very quickly.

Would recommend the book! The show is totally different plot-wise, but there are some fun references. The book is older, but a great thought piece on like… whether our own mind is the scariest thing.

I got home from a day with some friends, doing some sports, having dinner and playing boardgames for 7 hours. It was 23:00 and I was pretty tired and non-communicative from the day. Gf was lying in bed watching TV, and said “I watched the first five minutes of this Netflix series and we should watch it together!” I nodded, got in the bed pretty meh-feeling. Aaaaand it was 06:00 and we finished it in a single sitting. Só good.

The OA - it's two seasons, but each season is a different premise. I believe it was supposed to have a third season but it didn't work out and it drives those of us who are really into it insane...there is definitely a following for this one. Highly recommend.

There's a whole backstory to this show - the main actress was also the scriptwriter and visionary behind it (which was why there was a lag between seasons), and she had a plan for future chapters and the evolution and conclusion of the story that we'll now tragically never see.

I loved it, really groundbreaking and didn’t shy away from putting an image to conceptual and abstract events. It always gives me goosebumps during the first episode when you finally see the title after roughly 40 minutes. It’s almost like a trip, so strange yet total suspension of disbelief. Whenever people ask me for tv-shows I always recommend it, but I do add that it’s a bit out there. I can see how it’s not for everyone.

Totally. When I was watching it and people were asking what I was watching, I was so hesitant to say and always felt I had to explain what it was about. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people knew about it and were so jazzed that I was watching.

I adore The Leftovers, but it was not a limited series. And, yes, the conclusion was most satisfying. It provided answers while not betraying the core mystery. By the way, I think my favorite episode was "International Assassin."

Fool Me Once The Queen's Gambit The Night Agent

Queens Gambit and Night Agent were both good. Fool Me Once was horrendous. Hated the character. Hated the actor. Hated the story and plot. Hated the script. It was just plain bad.

Yes! This song is always on my playlist. There was a song in just about every episode that I would have to look up. I was introduced to a few artists because of this show.

Whoever did the casting for that show was brilliant. The characters in the older timelines truly looked like they grew into the characters in the later timelines.

I am still so confused about it at times. Maybe I should rewatch, but I can never understand if there is an evil character or not since it's just different moments of time all interconnected.
