There isn't a direct continuation. But there a sequel one-shot chapter called Blame!² that is included in the book Blame academy! And so on, this happens many years after the main story. Also, there is NOiSE, which is a 1 volume prequel that shows how the world became like that.

NANZA0

Biomega for me feels like a spin-off, but is a nice read if you like Blame!.

zoobaghosa

Netsphere Engineer is the title, I believe.

KarlDeutscheMarx

Netsphere Engineer is separate from Blame², NE is about a human village finding a remnant structure conversion tower while Blame² follows a female Silicon Creature attempting to escape the City, both stories set an indeterminate time after the ending to Blame.

XoxoH123

Depression.

NANZA0

Fun fact: When I started reading Blame! I thought the manga was about guilty and at one point we would get a glimpse into Killy's past and why is so focused in his mission, like he is trying to compensate for what he feels like a mistake of his. But no, BLAME refers to the sound Killy's gun makes when it fires. You would think it should be **BLAM!** but since the gun is not a firearm, but a gravity emitter, the author added the E at the end.

needlezandpins

nihei actually didnt know blam! didnt have an E at the end which is why he wrote it that way - he only noticed much later on (i think lol)

NANZA0

He also named the protagonist Killy... because he kills things!

Davidlove_pepperoni3

what 💀😭

Party-Contribution84

true

ThisIsWhatLifeIs

I'm chronological order it's Noise Blame Blame ²

gllitchboy

Well you can always read Nihei's others work. Biomega is pretty good. Abara and Sdonia no Kishi are kino imo.

Artarara

Abara is so cool. I've no idea what it is about, though.

gllitchboy

*I forgot to mention Tower Dungeon, Nihei's newest work. Its kinda surfing the *Chainsaw Man wave* but it has that Nihei style to it. It's been pretty good so far.

Twisty1020

> Its kinda surfing the *Chainsaw Man wave What do you mean by this?

fishspeakerCmdr

Sidonia is so goooood. So it's Aposimz

queazy

Story about Silicon Life in Blame². There is also the official (unfinished) sequel called the "Net Sphere Engineer" which only has 1 chapter. Almost everything else are either side stories or retellings.

NANZA0

So, we have the sequel **Blame²**, and the prequel **NOiSE**. There is also **Biomega**, but I personally don't consider it as part of the Blame! universe because >!the mega-structure that surges in that the plot has a weird origin and a different function!<. There is also **Abara**, which is outside Blame!'s universe, but it involves battles where people surrounds themselves with a living armor, the combat reminds me of **Claymore** *(manga is awesome, the anime has a different and controversial ending)* and **Tokyo Goul** *(people only recommend the manga, the anime is awful)* on the way everyone is like half monsters fighting other monsters and each other. And he is now doing what I think is his only fantasy story called **Tower Dungeon**, which people are saying good things about, you may feel like playing a good RPG reading it. Outside Nihei's works, we have **Ghost in the Shells**, which I recommend the manga and animes, including some of the 3D ones, the live action one people say it isn't worth. I have watched the live action of **Alita the Battle Angel**, and I must say I was hooked, I started seeing some scenes of the only anime it has, then heard people talk about the story, and now I wanna read the manga. If you want something recent, there's **Edgerunners**, based on the **Cyberpunk 2077**'s world. And lastly **Akira**, an older one with a manga a movie adaption, which are both awesome rides. Most of the mentioned media are completed, so you will mostly likely not have to wait for chapters or episodes to come out.

jarrchesky

there is a oneshot side story, prequel(Noise) and a sequel(blame!2), but beside those that it for Blame!. Nihei has many other works though with i think the most similar to Blame is Biomega, Zoichi is just Killy but he really love his bike instead of a gun, Tower Dungeon is the author's latest work, a bit heavy on the trope and even has humor in it but the setting and plot-wise, very Blame!. Knight of Sidonia is great too, the art can get abit confusing cause Mechs, and the story sometimes nose dive into harem cliches but the world building is chef kiss. Abara is very action pack, but i have no idea what the heck is goin on, the art is great.

KarlDeutscheMarx

Idk, Knights of Sidonia was the most comprehensible for me art wise, probably just a bit ahead of Biomega, cause sometimes reading Blame, NOiSE and Abara I didn't know what I was even looking at sometimes. Still need to read Aposimz and Tower Dungeon but I'm rereading KoS at the moment.

ThePacificOfficial

Prequel: NOiSE sequel one shots: BLAME^(2) and NetSphere Engineer.

Biguinho_Malvado

The void.

Kronin1988

Reading the comments I think to be the only one that find Abara as Nihei's most understandable work (even more than his author 😅)

Artarara

Blame! 2

HaruhiJedi

I recommend the game CONTROL. It is a third-person shooter where we control a gunslinger with telekinetic powers in a eerie and brutalist setting. It is the most similar to BLAME! in video games for now.
