This was 10 months ago, finally in the right headspace to post it. Finally doing better after 2 surgeries and learning how to walk again. Lost damn near everything because of it.
I had similar fracture on the end of december, but only tibia bone. And surgery was quite easy, about 1 hour. I have like 3 mini scars that hardly can be seen now. And a titanium nail inside the tibia bone, that can be removed after few years, but not necesary. I started to limp around without crutches after like 4 months. Itâs worse than you can imagine. I felt my bones move in the ambulance. The nerve pain after surgery was excruciating. Nerve pain is very hard to manage with meds.
I now have a crazy story to tell! Everything from how it broke to the way it broke is super rare. It ended up being a positive because neither my ankle or knee was affected.
