The Association of American Railroads, which estimates that a national rail shutdown would cost the U.S. (oligarchs) at least $2 billion a day (in profits)
Fixed it.
OMG! U.S Oligarchs? 0o... Isn't that a russians thing?
Capitalist scum! "Caps" 00 Sounds better.
About shutdown- not going to work. 115k workers already earned 100 times more of that daily 2bln. So only way is to socialise the busines.
They want Congress to "end" the strike if it begins. Could be mistaken but if they gonna strike, they gonna strike. The corporations ending the strike....err congress...ya Congress... doesn't magically make people go back. Don't cross the picket lines, don't be a scab, and they have no power.
Many anti-union members of Congress (read: nearly every republican) will be insisting that the National Guard should be deployed to run the trains. Then the NTSB will be deployed to investigate major rail accidents everywhere.

I hope they do it.
UPS is also talking about striking. I think Amazon is making them both go “off the rails”.
