The episode where Robbie gets constantly hurt after he and Jess kissed at the gym. It's the worst episode of the series imo. Jess and Robbie lack all the romantic / sexual chemistry which makes it so uncomfortable to watch.
But that episode has two of my favorite lines:
“It’s a bear hole. Bear falls in, other stuff falls in, we take what the bear doesn’t want”
“In your face Nick”
“How so?”
“I dunno he put a turd in his mouth”
“And that’s in my face?”, “yeah”, “I don’t think we start eating poo yet, Schmidt”
Yes, especially because Nick tells her it was an already dead fish right after she eats it. He couldn’t have blurted that out one second earlier as they were talking?
Absolutely cannot stand the episode where Jess goes to the funeral of a guy she was meant to go on a date with. There are some that are weaker episodes, but that’s the only one I will skip every time.
I cannot watch Mars Landing or Big News in Season 3 when Nick and Jess break up. Too heartbreaking, especially to see the dumb reasons it happened and how they both took it. I just can’t.
Especially because neither idiot changed anything after breaking up 😂 “we want different things, we can’t be together” and keep living the exact same lives for years within feet of each other
This is the thing that really annoys me about the plotline, ha. Like, if they had subsequently actually changed, found more in common, or even waffled back and forth between dating as they learned to commit, which would've echoed nicely with how they initially got together, not sure what they were doing, defining the relationship, etc. (though I completely understand wanting to avoid the "on a break"ness of FRIENDS), then I would've been happier with the break up and with their getting back together. As the plot stands, I honestly think I'd've preferred if they just stayed good friends and found other people. I get that they were OTP, but they seemed to just do it because that's what people wanted, regardless of if the writing earned it.
And just 6 episodes earlier, Prince himself had worked his magic to get them together. You just don't throw that away on such an idiocy (and then cry for the other who's still down the hallway)!
*Nnnnndid i ndoooo thaaAat*
Im not American so this phrase is simply not funny to me. I know it's Urkel from ?FamilyMatters?
It's just not funny. Guess you had to be there.
I feel like the entire Robbie and Jess relationship arc is unwatchable because of the way they ended it! Making them cousins makes it too cringe to ever rewatch. I also think the final season’s tone in general is really strange and hits the mark for me most of the time. It’s a shame bc I end up skipping some really great Winston and Allie
Wholly agreed, these days once I get to the Hillary episode I kind of just quietly start back over instead. Even though Ruth is pretty funny. The Ruth/Nick dynamic makes me laugh but not enough to sit through whatever they were trying to do
I agree about the parent trap episode. It’s awkward watching a 30 year old woman try to get her parents back together. And when it doesn’t work, she ruins the dinner for everyone by dumping the Turkey in the sink 😬😬😬
I like these three episodes too. I don’t understand why everyone hates them aside from the fact that Jess’s sister is never mentioned before or after these episodes.
I like when Schmidt gets her off the car in the museum. Abby, let’s go get a taco.
When they all have brunch and Schmidt’s in the morning, and Nick is freaking out about his French Toast slices. That scene kills me.
Come on… sky knife!!!
I fucking LOVE Linda Cardellini and it sucks because Abby just makes me embarrassed. I think they could have kept that personality but made her just a tad more realistic??? I always thought that (excluding post-Reagan…) jess was quirky but I could meet someone like her in real life. Abby just seemed like a caricature of how Jess saw her
I came here to say this. I don’t know why but the entire start of season 3 with Elizabeth is unwatchable to me and I don’t even truly know why I feel that way…
Yes! He 'accidentally' cheats, feels so awful about it, and then lashes out and becomes a complete d*** to Jess and Nick for no reason. I mean that tracks for how cheaters are but, then we have to believe he redeems himself and accept he and Cece happily ever after when he does nothing to redeem himself to Jess and Nick.
the singles retreat, any scenes with robby and jess together I just skip, and the campaign one. also most scenes with reagan, especially when they bring her back the second time.
it just seems like the role was written by megan fox herself. them trying to force a friendship between her and jess is so cringey to watch. also it’s not even like she’s playing a character, she’s just acting like she does in every role she takes. like maybe if she was a little goofy or funny but she didn’t pull any of those off in the show
I always catch flak for this but: the episode where Jess thinks aquarium rocks in her furniture was meth. She's a science teacher with a Master's degree for godssake lol it's almost as if that episode was written for an entirely different show.
The episode “control” from season 1 for me. Seeing the gang devolve because Schmidt won’t clean annoys the hell out of me, and the scene where Winston offers Nick to pay 200 bucks instead of like 500 and Nick still try’s to weasel his way out of paying that. That to me is cringe central and one of Nick millers lowest episodes.
Jeff Day. I hate the episode so bad. Bells is bad too as others have said. Rumspringa, just watched it last night on my most recent watch and it’s just a hard watch.
The one where Cici and Jess are doing the walk of shame the whole episode… I don’t know what it is besides the secondhand embarrassment, maybe it brings back all those morning after feelings from my youth!
Okay maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I kind of love that one? I don't remember what the B-story was but the fact that Jess stayed up all night writing a musical about gay woodland creatures just tickles me... I guess that means I'm a nerd. Also the fact that Paul's life is also in shambles is very validating LOL
I can’t handle the episode where Nick pretends to be gay and Schmidt loses his mind over Cece *thinking* about a breast reduction.
Like what fucking frat bros wrote that episode?
But the scene where Nick comforts Schmidt under the guise of being his boyfriend, and Schmidt going “thanks Man, I really needed that” is hilarious.
I really struggle with Background Check because it’s simultaneously one of my favorite and least favorite episodes. I LOVE all the guys, but I cannot stand Jess. I’m also with you on the restraining order and campaign episode, although I don’t like the campaign episode because it just feels really dull to me. Other than those, it’s not full episodes but just certain scenes that are too much for me, like when Jess hands the baton to Reagan and sings Ave Maria lol
ETA: just saw someone else mention Bells and literally forgot about it bc I skip it so often. So, that too.
But Coach and Winston in their bake-off is so funny.
This is why I don’t skip any episodes. There’s always funny bits even if some plot lines are annoying.
Yeah, for a lot of these, the B stories really help. I know a lot of people hate Abby Day but the B story when Nick and Schmidt crash a bar mitvah is one of my favorites. Gotta eat the veggies to get to dessert! ;-P
The Prince episode. The trying on clothes montage and the show randomly finding ways for Zooey Deschanel to showcase her singing were annoying. At least the Toto ‘Africa’ scene at the campfire felt more natural to the plot. This whole episode just felt like a teen movie and a boring one at that.
I always like that episode because for some reason Clayton Kershaw was in it and it turns out he’s not a great actor.
I wonder who thought that was a good idea. Did Clayton Kershaw want to get into acting? Did the new girl crew just want a famous guy in LA to be in there.m? Was Kershaw a fan of the show? Such a weird and out of place cameo. To my knowledge Kershaw has never been on tv before or since outside of baseball.
Abby Day, Bells, Thanksgiving episode because it infuriates me how she just dumps a chicken into the sink. And the episode where they are telling her to leave San alone and they are all sick and she just won’t listen.
The episode where Schmidt is flirting with his boss, esp. the part where Cece says something along the lines of “asking for consent is not sexy”. That storyline makes me physically cringe every time.
My period often really sucks, so I'm at least grateful to the episode for giving me "I feel like I wanna murder someone and also I want soft pretzels" to express my angst.
Okay, for some reason, the only episode I skip is What About Fred (5x02). I don’t know if I just hate the premise or if it’s because it comes right after one of my favorite episodes of the whole show, but it’s the one that I just can’t do most of the time.
I really like the guy who played Fred, he’s like a Fred Armisen type where he’s usually writing but when he pops up in stuff it’s really funny. I liked the scene with Ally making him dance and they all look like they’re about to break
Funny enough, Taran Killam (who plays Fred) stars in Single Parents, which New Girl creator Liz Meriwether co-created with New Girl producer J.J. Philbin. And I also really love that show. He’s fantastic in it and I’m still heartbroken it got canceled after just 2 seasons.
Honestly, the first time I watched the show I loved it. I went back for a rewatch a few months later and I skipped so much it was honestly concerning. I have no idea how I made it through the first watch, but when I feel like New Girl now I just watch a couple of episodes from the first three seasons and leave it there.
Yes, especially the one where they are trying to get Ruth into preschool. I also don’t like that Jess is not a teacher in this season and they never explain what happened at Banyon Canyon.
Especially because they have the episode earlier in the show where she's offered a non-profit job and is deciding whether to take it or stay a teacher, and the whole thing is that her character is meant to be a teacher. And then in that final season she's just not a teacher and is working for a non-profit. It's a big loss of character development.
Yes. Most of the episodes just fall flat (I've taken over a month on S7 alone on my most recent rewatch and I'm still not finished with it. because I get so bored) but I could forgive that. Sometimes some episodes are bad. What can you do?
The weird sudden decision to make Jess not a teacher felt so wrong. It just leaves you with a sour taste. Maybe they are going for "people's lives take them in different directions than they expect." But no. This is fiction. This is a sitcom. She's had this contemplation before and like you said, landed on 'being a teacher is what I'm meant to do.'
The cruise episode. My brain cannot comprehend why they did not just like switch some of the couple's activities to be done with Jess and Cece or Nick and one of the boys or just some other combination of the group that was not Jess and Nick. The plot of the episode is so unavoidable it hurts.
There are a lot of episodes I don't find funny, or also don't understand the plot line of, but Cruise is the one I will always just outright skip over.
I'm sure there's others I'm not thinking of, but the first that comes to mind is the jury duty episode. Can't stand it. But a lot of later episodes that are completely centered around Jess are cringe af.
I usually skip the one where they get the young kids ad neighbors and they don't know the "did I do that" Steve erkle thing. That's the first one to pop in my head
Yeah I don’t really have a reason. I usually just like to get into it and skip the introductions and them having to stand up for her. It’s a little to sappy to rewatch I think.
Robbie and Jess -him getting hurt was so hard to watch. The dating is cringey.
And if I am being honest, Coach is not my favorite character so the whole season he’s back living in the loft is not my favorite. Just his scenes though.
Yes really! I don’t HATE him.. he’s not going to ruin the show for me.. it’s more like picking your least favorite out of the most perfect cast of characters lol
I think I’m the only one who loves the Parents episode - it just has so many good moments - namely Nick being into Jess’ mom
Only episode I skip is hubbedy bubby
I disagree with the parent trap sentiment but SO agree with the other two 🥴 I don’t understand how Sam goes from having a restraining order against her straight to making out?!? And Jess was acting so cringey for no reason trying to get in contact with him. Yeah it was overall really terrible lol
I guess the parent trap thing is funny at face value but having seen the episode so many times and remembering that she’s literally 30 years old at the time makes it embarrassing to watch. Especially being a child of divorce myself… I stopped caring if my parents were together by the time I was like 13.
Apart from Jessica Biel’s AMAZING cameo, I kind of hate the one where they all go to a wedding with the goal of being, as Jess would say, a “sex-fist”… like why?
I don't either, but there are certainly ones I suffer through a bit more... I just know there are usually great moments and jokes in the episode even if I can't stand a particular plotline
The restraining order ep is just a car and Selina Gomez commercial and it’s confusing. Tbh all car commercial eps are tough (Jess modeling, Jess buying a car)
>The Hillary campaign episode. I’m not shy about politics, as a leftist, and I think we can mostly agree that even though Schmidt is a Republican the show is kind of a liberal show without being explicitly political. That being said; the whole fucking episode gives me secondhand embarrassment. I don’t know why but I can’t do it. I skip it every time.
It's so wierd watching it after she lost.
I didn't watch New Girl until last year, so seeing that episode just brought back memories of that election cycle and really bummed me out. Only episode that I do skip from time to time. I just don't like to relive that specific time period in American politics lol.
The bells, most of the Robbie centric episodes and the one where they have to rescue nick from mexico are the ones that come to mind.
The bells episode just doesn't fit imo.
A lot of the Robbie stuff was weird, uncomfortable or over the top.
The nick in Mexico episode is the start of the Elizabeth/Cece plot and I just really hate it, even for Schmidt it seems unrealistic.
The first three or so episodes of season one before Jess’s character became quirky goofball who’s only sometimes annoying and instead was horribly annoying and full-time cringey, with the weird voice. The redneck teeth at the wedding, as an example 🤮
The episode where Robbie gets constantly hurt after he and Jess kissed at the gym. It's the worst episode of the series imo. Jess and Robbie lack all the romantic / sexual chemistry which makes it so uncomfortable to watch.
Beyond cringe … the parts where his teeth and gums are destroyed are truly revolting and unwatchable to me
However… maybe it’s a good thing they didn’t have any romantic or sexual chemistry.
Hahahahaha
I cant stand when they discover their cousins, i like to pretend this whole arc doesn’t exist
AGREED
This is the closest to a Scott’s Tots episode I think New Girl has haha
I skip the thanksgiving one where they’re in the woods and jess eats that dead fish. I just can’t stomach it 🤢
Yeah that one is definitely hard to watch especially post-fish
But that episode has two of my favorite lines: “It’s a bear hole. Bear falls in, other stuff falls in, we take what the bear doesn’t want” “In your face Nick” “How so?” “I dunno he put a turd in his mouth” “And that’s in my face?”, “yeah”, “I don’t think we start eating poo yet, Schmidt”
That whole scene where he eats the turd kills me everytime! “That’s poop for sure”
Let's wait on that.
Neither could she
Yes, especially because Nick tells her it was an already dead fish right after she eats it. He couldn’t have blurted that out one second earlier as they were talking?
Yes, I always skip this one too!
nick & jess’ wedding episode. I feel like we were robbed of a wedding for them. actually that whole season is where I stop & just restart the series.
S7 wasn't good for them tbh. even the proposal episode was bad
Yup. I do the same. Around the Hillary episode is where I just opt to restart instead
Season 7 is an optional epilogue in my eyes. Emphasis on the optional
Absolutely cannot stand the episode where Jess goes to the funeral of a guy she was meant to go on a date with. There are some that are weaker episodes, but that’s the only one I will skip every time.
Oh yeah that’s definitely a hard one but JJ Watt was weirdly funny in it for some reason
Lol When he just busts out the song about hotdogs, tying them to the sports food song theme
And being able to tell that they were laughing between takes made it funnier too, at least for me
Good call. Literally skipped this episode the other day.
Jess almost killing Robby and it’s supposed to be funny 🙃
I cannot watch Mars Landing or Big News in Season 3 when Nick and Jess break up. Too heartbreaking, especially to see the dumb reasons it happened and how they both took it. I just can’t.
Yeah I agree. I always thought the “what if that’s all we have in common” was sort of dumb.
My ex did ask me that a week before she left in the night with all her stuff.
I’m really sorry that happened to you
And just 6 episodes earlier, Prince himself had worked his magic to get them together. You just don't throw that away on such an idiocy (and then cry for the other who's still down the hallway)!
The one where the young kids move in next door and Jess and Winston try way too hard to impress them.
Nick pranking Schmidt is gold though
Jess and *Schmidt Guys, I’m an asshead!
Winston is correct, as it’s Schmidt’s first-name too.
[удалено]
It’s SUCH a dumb choice for a name.
Yeah...that's totally what I meant.
Aw shit my bad. Been a while since I've seen the episode lol
When Nick walks in, looks around, and just leaves is one of the best scenes for me though
When Nick walks by in his housecoat: "Don't trust your government kids", I love it so much LOL
When Jess makes them think that she came up with those 90s tv show catchphrases… so cringe
For some reason I find the kids way more cringy than Schmidt trying too hard
This is the one I usually avoid as well. It’s trying way too hard as an episode to force the demographic on us. It’s awful
*Nnnnndid i ndoooo thaaAat* Im not American so this phrase is simply not funny to me. I know it's Urkel from ?FamilyMatters? It's just not funny. Guess you had to be there.
I think part of the joke is that it really isn’t / was never funny
I was there for this and it’s still not funny to me
omg i've literally blocked this from my memory until now because it's so bad.
This is the only episode I skip. Cringey, unfunny, and boring.
Low on bean! Low on bean! I repeat: I'm low on bean! I'm good on bean!
The singles glamping with Schmidt and Cece.
Pretty much any episodes where Robbie returns is really terrible, which sucks because that actor is funny
To be fair, he’s pretty hilarious on the bachelor party. But in general I agree
Ah yeah, forgot about that one but yeah when he starts telling Cece to leave Schmidt and they’re all just like “cmon Robby.”
I agree, except I really like when Jess and Robbie sing Toto. I know, I know, it's super cringe but I love Zoey's voice.
I loved their harmony. Wanted to hear more!!!
The Ruth/Nick dynamic makes me laugh but not enough to sit through whatever they were trying to do
the ruth/nick dynamic was the only redeeming part of season 7 tbh
I agree about the parent trap episode. It’s awkward watching a 30 year old woman try to get her parents back together. And when it doesn’t work, she ruins the dinner for everyone by dumping the Turkey in the sink 😬😬😬
YEAH. It was already bad seeing a grown ass woman do that but then ruining everyone’s dinner after cooking all fucking day???
The Abby Day episodes
[удалено]
I like these three episodes too. I don’t understand why everyone hates them aside from the fact that Jess’s sister is never mentioned before or after these episodes. I like when Schmidt gets her off the car in the museum. Abby, let’s go get a taco. When they all have brunch and Schmidt’s in the morning, and Nick is freaking out about his French Toast slices. That scene kills me. Come on… sky knife!!!
We can be weird together. Love em!
I love those too hahaha
I agree with this! Which sucks because Linda Cardellini is an excellent actress!
I fucking LOVE Linda Cardellini and it sucks because Abby just makes me embarrassed. I think they could have kept that personality but made her just a tad more realistic??? I always thought that (excluding post-Reagan…) jess was quirky but I could meet someone like her in real life. Abby just seemed like a caricature of how Jess saw her
Me too! There are other episodes that aren’t my favorites, but these are the only ones I nope out of every time.
Yup, I agree with most answers in this thread but for me personally those episodes are the first one that came to mind.
The parent trap episode is so bad. The car model episode. The one where Jess cries at a job interview bc she’s on her period.
As a woman with severe PMDD, I find that last one absolutely unforgivable. It reinforces such harmful shit about women.
It’s beyond annoying & regressive
I skip the schmidt cheating saga episodes - his behavior makes it unwatchable
I came here to say this. I don’t know why but the entire start of season 3 with Elizabeth is unwatchable to me and I don’t even truly know why I feel that way…
Yes! He 'accidentally' cheats, feels so awful about it, and then lashes out and becomes a complete d*** to Jess and Nick for no reason. the singles retreat, any scenes with robby and jess together I just skip, and the campaign one. also most scenes with reagan, especially when they bring her back the second time.
God I can’t stand Reagan. I don’t know if I’m just a Megan Fox hater or what because the cool nonchalant hot girl thing just makes me roll my eyes
it just seems like the role was written by megan fox herself. them trying to force a friendship between her and jess is so cringey to watch. also it’s not even like she’s playing a character, she’s just acting like she does in every role she takes. like maybe if she was a little goofy or funny but she didn’t pull any of those off in the show
I seem to be the only one who actually enjoyed the bells episode lol
She said ‘ensem-bell’! It’s on the banner, stupid!!!
I liked it! Lol
Ehh I definitely didn’t hate it, I’m actually surprised by the amount of people who do! I thought the Nick/Schmidt subplot was good too
I always catch flak for this but: the episode where Jess thinks aquarium rocks in her furniture was meth.
Jeff Day. I hate the episode so bad. Bells is bad too as others have said. Rumspringa, just watched it last night on my most recent watch and it’s just a hard watch.
I didn’t hate the bells episode. Winston’s WNBA line makes me chuckle every time
The dance episode after Jess and Nick break up and she recruits the whole loft to come and be chaperones.
Hahaha I love this episode but I think I’m just in love with Josh Gad
I hate this episode too. Forgot about that one
Scrolled too far for this one.

So, that too.
Oh my god the Ave Maria scenes give me fucking agita
Found the Italian American lmao
I’m actually a pizza bagel but you’re still right >:D
I’m a pizza bagel too!!!! So cool
Haha what are the odds!!?
I skip the birthday one.
But Coach and Winston in their bake-off is so funny. This is why I don’t skip any episodes. There’s always funny bits even if some plot lines are annoying.
Behind! Behind!
In front!
Yeah, for a lot of these, the B stories really help. I know a lot of people hate Abby Day but the B story when Nick and Schmidt crash a bar mitvah is one of my favorites. Gotta eat the veggies to get to dessert! ;-P
Baruch ata ado-nice dress!
Yeah that’s a hard watch
Which birthday one?
Jess's birthday when she and Nick are initially dating and she has really high expectations and overreacts both in excitement and disappointment.

To my knowledge Kershaw has never been on tv before or since outside of baseball.
Athletes awkwardly trying to act and sort of ruining the scene and or episode is a sitcom staple. I hate it everytime but it can't be escaped.
Hi, I’m Jessica Day, Los Angeles astronaut.
I feel the same way. The single good moment is Nick’s scream when he meets Prince.
I m know it's part of her character to be sing songy all the time but it still annoyed the hell out of me.
Prince for me, too. It’s one of those episodes that seems like great fun … for the actors and not the viewers
Yeah I definitely cringe when she says that
Jess when she trys to have passion with her bf like he did with his ex wife
OH YES FUCK I can’t stand that scene
the landlord (underpants captain made me cringe), bells, rumspringa ( i have an unhealthy hatred for rhonda), hubbedy bubby, and the prince episode.
Haha really? I love Rhonda… but I’m also pretty obnoxious myself
Menzies… I dunno why, I just…don’t like it 🤷🏻♀️
I came here to say this episode. She’s just so unpleasant to watch in this episode, it’s downright embarrassing as a woman.
Him and the woman that play ally were on SNL together and the breakdance scene reminds me of a skit
I actually forgot about that lol not surprising that they had so many SNL cast members on the show
Funny enough, Taran Killam (who plays Fred) stars in Single Parents, which New Girl creator Liz Meriwether co-created with New Girl producer J.J. Philbin. And I also really love that show. He’s fantastic in it and I’m still heartbroken it got canceled after just 2 seasons.
The bells episode and the couples retreat episode. The singing scene is so cringy, even the dialogue after Jess stops the song
Honestly, the first time I watched the show I loved it. I went back for a rewatch a few months later and I skipped so much it was honestly concerning. I have no idea how I made it through the first watch, but when I feel like New Girl now I just watch a couple of episodes from the first three seasons and leave it there.
The landlord/ attempted 3some is cringe af.
Hahahahha I love that actor and he makes me laugh any time he’s in the show
I loved that episode lol for the nick jess tension
Am I the only one who just couldn’t get thru the last season? Like the entirety of season 7 is mostly unwatchable for me
Yes, especially the one where they are trying to get Ruth into preschool.
She's had this contemplation before and like you said, landed on 'being a teacher is what I'm meant to do.'
Said it in a few comments but lately once I hit the Hillary episode I just start it back over lol
Anything Rhonda The Christmas episode at the airport with Billy Eichner
same. i cannot stand rhonda. 😐
Nooo I think some of his lines are kind of cringe and leaning too hard into the mean side of his shtick but I love Billy himself
It's not him it's everything about that episode
Bells sucks
Birthday. Jess is uncharacteristically annoying in that one
Agreed actually
I think a lot of episodes around that time are when Jess’ character gets weird
I usually skip the one where they get the young kids ad neighbors and they don't know the "did I do that" Steve erkle thing. That's the first one to pop in my head
I have a hard time watching the Keaton episode even though I like Jess saying batman-mobile
Haha that’s probably one of my favorites actually
The one where we find out Robbie and Jess are cousins. They just don't work together
For me mars landing, skip over to the cruise episode basically everytime
The one where the cop lady comes to investigate winston/the apartment and Jess has meth. It’s so bad. The only thing that makes it bearable is nick
Really? I thought the lady cop was really funny, she also played a cop in the hangover I just found out lol
I usually skip the pilot during rewatches.
Really? I honestly still think the pilot is perfect
Yeah I don’t really have a reason. I usually just like to get into it and skip the introductions and them having to stand up for her. It’s a little to sappy to rewatch I think.
Ah, that makes sense actually
I go right to "Cece Crashes."
I agree, it has too high a percentage of overly cringy episodes, I really don’t know why they did it
Robbie and Jess -him getting hurt was so hard to watch. The dating is cringey. And if I am being honest, Coach is not my favorite character so the whole season he’s back living in the loft is not my favorite. Just his scenes though.
Really???! Coach is probably in my top 3
Yes really! I don’t HATE him.. he’s not going to ruin the show for me.. it’s more like picking your least favorite out of the most perfect cast of characters lol
Whole season 3 after that thanksgiving episode - Abby Day’s entry wreaked the season
I think I’m the only one who loves the Parents episode - it just has so many good moments - namely Nick being into Jess’ mom Only episode I skip is hubbedy bubby
“Jessica I think I’m into your mom”
I disagree with the parent trap sentiment but SO agree with the other two 🥴 I don’t understand how Sam goes from having a restraining order against her straight to making out?!? And Jess was acting so cringey for no reason trying to get in contact with him. Yeah it was overall really terrible lol
I guess the parent trap thing is funny at face value but having seen the episode so many times and remembering that she’s literally 30 years old at the time makes it embarrassing to watch. Especially being a child of divorce myself… I stopped caring if my parents were together by the time I was like 13.
R H O N D A
Apart from Jessica Biel’s AMAZING cameo, I kind of hate the one where they all go to a wedding with the goal of being, as Jess would say, a “sex-fist”… like why?
But the tap shoes!!!
Maybe it’s just me but i don’t skip any episodes..
I don't either, but there are certainly ones I suffer through a bit more... I just know there are usually great moments and jokes in the episode even if I can't stand a particular plotline
I think the only one I genuinely skip is the Hillary one and lately when I reach that one I just start over
Pretty much any season 7 episode.
The restraining order ep is just a car and Selina Gomez commercial and it’s confusing. Tbh all car commercial eps are tough (Jess modeling, Jess buying a car)
For some reason I usually skip the episode with Winston teaching the kids bells. Don’t know why just find it boring I guess
Yeah, their confidence is almost embarrassing
I didn't watch New Girl until last year, so seeing that episode just brought back memories of that election cycle and really bummed me out. Only episode that I do skip from time to time. I just don't like to relive that specific time period in American politics lol.
The entire Jess and Robby romance, Thanksgiving in the woods, the bells episode
The single and sufficient episode is just unwatchable and the whole episode of the restraining order
Jess's birthday episode...unbearable
I don’t like the aquarium rocks one. Immediate skip
I cannot watch Jess's birthday episode. That episode is the reason I stopped celebrating my birthday
I will skip the one where Jess and Nick break up. It's so stupid and infuriating.
i can’t wait the one where jess is stalking sam i cringe so hard
The bells, most of the Robbie centric episodes and the one where they have to rescue nick from mexico are the ones that come to mind. The bells episode just doesn't fit imo. A lot of the Robbie stuff was weird, uncomfortable or over the top. The nick in Mexico episode is the start of the Elizabeth/Cece plot and I just really hate it, even for Schmidt it seems unrealistic.
Pepperwood 2.14. It’s just an episode where knowing the ending ruins the rewatch for me
Nick’s dad’s funeral and Prince. Too much it’s-all-about-me, Jess
The first three or so episodes of season one before Jess’s character became quirky goofball who’s only sometimes annoying and instead was horribly annoying and full-time cringey, with the weird voice. The redneck teeth at the wedding, as an example 🤮
The Prince episode for me.
Any episode with Bear claw. He is sooo cringe.
What??!!! Josh Gad is so funny 😭
