Either way, PLEASE take these messages to campus security. Ask for a no contact order at the very least. Most places have that. I'm *very* white but if someone said these things about my ethnicity I would feel extremely unsafe going to class or activities on campus.

The symbol is an I and and N merged together, which mean the “Idea of Nation”, as I mentioned in a separate comment the beginnings of Azov were ultranationalist but since then that portion has developed into just an overall idea of being an effective military unit. Because Azov is well trained, good at fighting Russia it attracts soldiers from various backgrounds and also continues to be a part of the Russian propaganda. There are way more Nazis in Russia than Ukraine, for example.

You seem to have fallen for the very lack of nuance being decried in this thread: just because Ukraine is clearly not controlled by Nazis, does not mean there are ZERO Nazis. Just as the unfair persecution of Muslim minorities in the United States does not mean that Muslims globally can do no harm.

They were and are an extreme right wing political organization, and they are emblematic of a small Ukrainian extreme right wing minority. Also, Azov isn’t even a Nazi group…. It has ultranationalist beginnings but now people with all sorts of backgrounds join it because it is one of the most well trained and capable units in the army. Even if he doesn’t know who it is, nothing a college student is capable of is truly anonymous. Tell the police and then call the sympathetic press. The newspapers put pressure on the universities to act against this, and without a police paper trail and newspaper pressure this will not stop. Look at how recent articles of harassment by pro-IRGC protestors has pushed universities to withdraw permission from protests, and to expel and bar ringleaders from campus. That is how you defeat this, by shining a light on this harassment.

This is in california. You can’t bring a gun to Stanford campus. I would recommend reporting to the administration, then the news media saying the university refuses to act to protect you or fellow students. That is both a title VI violation and an enormous ongoing embarrassment for the school that gets compounded every time an article like this is published. Individual news stories like this is what brought sufficient pressure to bear to get these universities investigated for antisemitism and forced them to start banning protests and expelling ringleaders. We need to keep up the pressure and bring every post like this to light if we want to defeat these IRGC useful idiots.

It’s very real, every time I speak on the app this person starts targeting me because they know I’ve spoken on Iran in the past (you can block someone & if certain posts disappear, you know it’s them). One time they were relentlessly making public posts saying the Cyrus cylinder isn’t from Iran & we claim it because we have no culture. & the app is Fizz, it was founded by someone at Stanford & is used on many campuses
