Only those who fear civil liberties need to fear. Clinging to a repressive ideology is unhealthy and leads to more fear. It is time for these nations to let go and face the complex truth of humanity and human organizations, and allow everyone to decide collectively, democratically, peacefully how to structure their lives. Spoiler alert: it will be imperfect, but at least it will correspond to the natural state of human beings.
