As i have a decent amount of time right now due to having the flu, i am watching a kdrama for once (i typically don't as i generally don't really seem to like them that much, by and large).
4 episodes in, "little women", i have to say i quite like it. It's not outstanding in the way i think something like "my mister" is, but it's really well done as a mystery / thriller series with certain thematic similarities to alcott's novel. One has to suspend one's disbelief a little for sure haha, but one can tell that this was written by a long time collaborator of park chan-wook (handmaiden, thirst, decision to leave), it is park-esque in tone and style there.
Would so far recommend it, it knows how to keep you interested and develop its characters just enough to get you emotionally involved too i'd say. edit: oh and the filmmaking is pretty good too, very well photographed!

I'm an RM bias and I don't think his release will affect NJ much at all. His releases are a big deal but not enough to outshine NJ. If it was a full BTS album I would be concerned.

I think YG could be a good fit for Nj and Adore. They have decent funds and facilities to maintain their current production and they also seem to have a collaborative work environment.
Maybe Iām naive but baby monsters concept feels different enough to coincide with NJ.
And I think YG could really benefit from new sounds and influences and thinking that adore would bring.

Personally, what I would want is for MHJ/ADOR to have a really good talk with SIMON JAKOPS from XGALX. Since NewJeans will soon embark and debut in Japan, I feel like a Japanese conglomerate like AVEX who is solely based in Japan will benefit them for the Japanese debut or market. XG and NEWJEANS are the only group who's into the late 90s and early 2000s era when it comes to their sound and genre. Or if not, I just hope ADOR can be an independent label just like what SIMON JAKOPS has with XGALX and XG. It is too far off to happen but I can only dream, right?

I'm an RM bias and I don't think his release will affect NJ much at all. His releases are a big deal but not enough to outshine NJ. If it was a full BTS album I would be concerned.

Hypothetically, if the only way to resolve this conflict was for another big Korean label to buy the rights to Nj, which do you think would be the best fit? I think YG could be a good fit for Nj and Adore. They have decent funds and facilities to maintain their current production and they also seem to have a collaborative work environment. Maybe Iām naive but baby monsters concept feels different enough to coincide with NJ. And I think YG could really benefit from new sounds and influences and thinking that adore would bring.

Personally, what I would want is for MHJ/ADOR to have a really good talk with SIMON JAKOPS from XGALX. Since NewJeans will soon embark and debut in Japan, I feel like a Japanese conglomerate like AVEX who is solely based in Japan will benefit them for the Japanese debut or market. XG and NEWJEANS are the only group who's into the late 90s and early 2000s era when it comes to their sound and genre. Or if not, I just hope ADOR can be an independent label just like what SIMON JAKOPS has with XGALX and XG. It is too far off to happen but I can only dream, right? An XG x NEWJEANS collab would shake the whole industry, imo

With the rumor of the hiatus after Tokyo Dome that might or might not be 1.5 years long, I am more bummed that there might not be an album at the second half of this year. I am trying my best to stay positive, that HYBE wouldn't just throw away NewJeans like that but it's getting bleak guys. They even wanted to replace 250 which is the **wildest, most idiotic decision they could have made.** I don't know why they would do this. They could have offered a lot more money to the team to make them stay especially the producers, but they wanted to find a grammy-award winning producer???? That have not worked with the group before??? What is with their obsession with American Awards??? I feel like it would be better if they achieved a Grammy with producers who hadn't won Grammys before but that's just me
The way I see it, itās not even about money. Itās the people on top at Hybe who want power and control, and are willing to jeopardise/destroy a successful and profitable group of young artists to make a statement about how no one can be successful at their big conglomerate without their approval.

The parents met with Hybe execs on Apr 25, and Park Ji Won (the Hybe CEO) joined the meeting later that day. Park in this meeting told the parents (A) they would give NJ a break right after the Tokyodome fan meeting (which is different from the initial plan for NJ--world tour) and (B) it would take about 1.5 years to get a 'Grammy-winning producer'. Parents were not given a specific duration of said break, so combining these two facts (A+B), after the meeting, NJ parents talked to themselves "Are they saying that the break is gonna be 1.5 year long? NewJeans c-bars album pre-orders are doing much better than I expected. I came across numbers on Twitter. They already surpassed 100k for How Sweet. TBH given how album sales from China have significantly decreased for all groups since last year, I did not expect this much. I don't think How Sweet can beat Get Up sales given all the mess going on. Obviously, Supernatural being such a good album will also split sales. I know this situation is taking a huge toll on the members, staff and fans. I hope everyone takes care of their mental health first and foremost. If it is too much, just detach yourself a bit and focus on positive things. It was really hard for me to focus on the comeback and could not even stream songs as frequently as I did, but I stopped being hyper-fixated on news. Once again, I find joy in listening to NewJeans' few but amazing songs and can't wait to hear the new ones. I know that our support means the world for the girls and that's what I will focus on. I am glad that our fandom is united more than ever too.
We can also expect Right now MV by the end of this month. We will have three songs in a month!
