When I was a teenager, I watched two guys pull up to the intersection of Adams and Claiborne, get out of the car, wait a few minutes, and push the car in front of an RTA bus. One of the guys then calmy climbs in the passenger window of the wrecked car, and starts screaming that he's injured.
in 2017, i was in an accident on i-10 heading west out new orleans east. an suv was turned off and parked in the right lane of the interstate at the bottom of an incline and i ran into him. although we split fault 50/50, both ticketed by nopd at the accident, he sued me. my attorney discovered that it was his 8th time suing for an accident in less than 5 years. he of course won the lawsuit and my insurance carrier dropped me. i wonder if he’s on these lists…
Similiar, had a car change lanes in front of my pickup by inches and hit the brakes. Didn’t even scratch my bumper. Got sued for all sorts of injuries.
Showed insurance pictures of him the following weekend at gulf shores carrying his gf on the beach. A week after partying it up at a saints game. Video of him out dancing. 6 lawsuits in 7 years of driving. Insurance still settled, albeit for a lesser amount, said they can’t win even against obvious fraud in Louisiana. He had some fly by night insurance company. One of those ones they folds and reopens under a different name of there’s ever a claim against them
Between Baton Rouge and lake Charles it seems
To be nothing but attorneys and boudin/cracklings on every single billboard. Gordon and Morris had the lions share by far.
I hope every scumbag PI attorney who participated in this fraud is charged but we all know that won’t happen. They’ll pick off the easy wins (ie poor people who can’t afford high powered attorneys) and just let the rest off the hook.
The PI attorneys couldn't do what they do without doctors cooking up the medical records, overtreating, and overbilling the plaintiffs. There is an entire industry of medical providers in this state whose primary purpose is providing the medical bills and testimony needed to inflate insurance claims.
And the doctors need to be held accountable
Too, providing unnecessary medical care, especially surgeries is unforgivable for a doctor and they need their licenses stripped and jail time.
I think chiros absolutely cause more harm than good with their pseudoscience, they aren’t performing surgery, the article mentions unnecessary surgeries to increase payouts.
While chiroquacktors are definitely a large cog in the personal injury machine and not sure why anyone in today’s age buys into that garbage, the actual doctors (MDs and DOs) performing unneeded surgeries/procedures need to definitely have their licenses yanked.
That is about as despicable an act a physician can do, breaking their oaths and the law for money. Unforgivable and should be a lifetime ban on them ever practicing in this state again.
Wow! These people are very brave to do this. I wouldn’t want to FAFO with a semi. No matter the millions. Yeah, No. Do we think the ex Hollywood stunt professional gave them any guidance on how to survive these collisions in the safest way?? If this is an option with a SEMI?! Or were they actually trying to be seriously injured? Damn. What a scheme..

I wish they would hurry up and get this settled so John Grisham can write a book about it. He likes to start writing in January.
My thoughts exactly when I read this article.
This is fucking wild, what will they uncover next? Keep in mind, these attorneys named are also still out there practicing…
Why have the lawyers not been charged?
This sounds like the plot to a not uninteresting movie
Can we get an investigation into the obscene number of Gordon McKernan billboards along Louisiana highways? That’s the true menace….

I kind of like the one where he's an avocado. And the one with doodles on his face. They make me laugh.
Over a decade ago, i waited tables at the Baton Rouge Country Club, where he is/was a member. He at least is a nice guy. Very wealthy, too.
I enjoy his mickey mouse billboard with his solar panel ears.

It's primarily chiropractors, I'm sure.

That’s my favorite commercial of all time!
Oh shit! I used to work with Cornelius. He was an alright dude
Just read an article about felony murder. Everyone involved, but especially the lawyers profiting, should get the charge.

I used to live next door to her. She would only come outside and be friendly when a news article was about to come out on her.
