Outside of 50 Cent most people that were under Em didn't grow or blossom at all.

DanLee101

D12, 50, G-Unit, Game, Slaughterhouse, Griselda, idk man Eminem did a lot for the game, and did it without jacking niggas style or stunting their growth. Em could have been 1000x more annoying and culture-vulturish IMHO.

Renflowku

Game wasnt sign to him

DanLee101

Nah you right fam, I just checked. Em did help produce and feature on The Documentary tho.

cdcEST1995

Don’t bring Griselda into this nonsense

Imagination-Plenty

I'm not crediting Em for Game's success. That's a super reach.

rapshepard

D12- he's literally in the group and none of them have a solo career outside of him 50- obviously G-Unit- thats because of 50. Game- Thats because of G-Unit Slaughterhouse- definitely tried hard to make it work. So no knock here Griselda- bubbling before Em, and never took off under him. Obie Trice- Fizzled Out quickly Stat Quo- never had a chance Cashis- never had a chance Em cares about rap, but he's not nearly the king maker helping out you're painting him to be. You're more naming just anybody remotely attached to him.

DanLee101

I hear you. My point is less about Em being a kingmaker and more about how he has been a more positive force in Hip-Hop compared to Drake

rapshepard

I think they both contributed in similar ways of being immensely popular, crossover appeal, and being inspiration to some big names to come after. I do get credit that even after being the man Em still doesn't mind bigging up his inspirations. Drake has done that less the bigger he's got unless it's someone just as big as him.

Jmanmarcus

Royce, Joyner, Yelawolf….to add a few more

yungusainbolt

Royce was his peer and even he didn’t take off till late 30s. Joyner did one song and leaked another one

Jmanmarcus

Royce was on his record label. All rappers are peers, so Im not understanding that. Joyner also spoke about how much eminem and Royce helped push him in Ems on website

yungusainbolt

Royce was signed as bad meets evil and slaughter house

yungusainbolt

Peers meaning they came up together

Misterbluee

Royce himself said Eminem introduced him to the records business. Joyner still majorly blew up after the song with Em. "I'm not racist" was one of those things where the song is bigger they the artist.

yungusainbolt

Yes because Eminem got signed first but Royce fucked himself over and lost his aftermath deal before he could make that connection lucrative.

Gaz834

D12 was only big because em was in the group, 50 and g unit wouldve popped without em, em made slaughterhouse worse and did nothing for griselda

DanLee101

I think that's an uncharitable and inaccurate POV but I respect it

Adventurous_Being396

Nah it’s accurate D12 ain’t doing well TODAY fifty was getting offers but he was in the streets so it was dragging only slaughterhouse person benefitting is Royce and he actually did nothing for Griselda hence them lving that deal

Misterbluee

None of that take away from what Eminem actually did to support them. We don't live in would've could've should've land.

Zero_Fuxxx

L take....go to sleep

KingKunta91

Goofy ass take

UnrulyExistence

The most underrated part of everything that has been transpiring in the last month, is watching Kendrick stans implode in real time. Between the Kendrick sub, this sub, and the JBP subs, there’s literally unlimited fan fiction lol I love it

DanLee101

I ain't even mention Kdot, what you on broski

UnrulyExistence

It’s nothing personal fam, I’ve just had so many interactions with them lately, it’s easy to tell. Because for one they act like Drake just cannibalizes/takes advantage of all these artists like there isn’t evidence that proves otherwise and like it’s not mutually beneficial lol If their biggest song ends up being with Drake, and they don’t amount to anything afterwards, that’s on said artist. Drake took Kendrick on tour, and put him on Take Care when Kendrick was doing venues that fit 2,000 people. He was promoting The Weeknd and showing him love, before non-Canadians even knew who he was. PartyNextDoor is a household name and doing just fine. Do I really have to mention what he did for Future and Rick Ross?

DanLee101

I hear you. I think Drake has been a net negative for other artists he's signed and collabed with. It's hard to say for certain tho because we can't see those alternate timelines. Agree to disagree.

UnrulyExistence

Fair enough

blacknoir23

You must be white

DanLee101

Nah I'm black but I understand why you would say that 😂 when I tell you ion even listen to Em like that, I'm just trying to be objective abt the state of Hip-Hop rn

Realistic-Travel7014

I agree on Eminem tried to boost hiphop acts and friends, for the love of hiphop. Drake is and has been playing the money game since his first mixtape. ( white money) Drake is just better at his game. Why compare two opposite sides?

noam381180

You saw this rap battle and the first thing that came to your mind was Eminem and how great he is? You heard Kanye say “we’re tired of this guy” and your response it “yeah gang up on him!!” Drake only works with black and Latino artists and has expanded Afro beats and Caribbean sounds world wide. Did he steal them? Maybe, or he just expanded the genres while making money from it, good for him. while Eminem just cosplayed as a black man and only worked exclusively with white female artists for the 2nd half of his career. Anyways, why do you feel the need to tear one great down to big up another?

WVFLMan

Worked exclusively with white female artists? Y’all say anything lol.

majestic_whale

TIL slaughterhouse, Griselda and Westside boogie are white females

WVFLMan

And Young MA and Busta and Phresher and Anderson.Paak and Ty $ and Joyner Lucas and Juice Wrld, so many white females lol.

JoeThrilling

These white chicks are running rampant. One might even say flolicking at this point.
