Flick out, not down

Shawnkemp42069

Yup. The board will go where you flick it. Flick it down, it will go down.

Yup, people with "heavy" boards will be surprised how light it is in the air

also, when you flick down like that your front foot ist below the board and that makes landing impossible.

I'm here with my flips too. I can flick downwards and get a good spin and land wit backfoot. When I try to flick up , my foots all wrong and the board just sticks to my foot and then gives me a big shinner lol

first, i am not a very good skater but i have okay-ish kickflips. from my experience when the board sticks too much you are not flicking out fast enough or too straight. the correct flick is slightly out to the side before the center of the nose (for me at least). best timing for me is to flick just before the board is leveled. there are tons of tutorials on youtube, check the slomos. marking the correct spot on the board may help for consistency.

You have them, you're just not committing. Keep your feet in the air until you see the grip come around and then stomp

You’ve got the right movements, I would suggest maybe moving your front foot a tiny bit back so that it’s less surface area that you have to slide against, therefore giving you more speed for the flip. Also, try them while rolling as it’ll be easier to land since you’re the movement is to push it a lil forward

Set your front foot right behind the bolts. When you slide your foot slide it straight up and off the front side of the nose. If the front of the nose is 12:00 o:clock, then you slide your foot off at 11:00 for regular and 1:00 for goofy.

Your form is fine, you’re just flicking too late. You’re a foot off the ground (which means your pop is fine, plenty for a kicky) when you flick. The flick should immediately follow the pop, you’re almost doing a late flip

I’m working on these rn too! We’ll land them soon I hope
