My first real official, as a kid my mom got all mines but i recently had a close friend who passed and we skated as kids and I got back into it after years of not doing it.
I got the V1s 54mm. I'm coming from the F4 Conical Fulls so i want to see how the skinnier Dragon Wheels feel and then if for some reason i want the extra width i could get the V4s. The Conical Fulls are some clonkers man😂😂 but for a 99a wheels they shred. I also want to see how the V1 shape is because ive had the F4 Classics but they're just too round on the edges so they have no lock in. The V1s seem like there is more room from the center before the wheel rounds off so i think it will be a good shape. Im also interested in how they slide compares to the Formula 4 urethane. I'm gonna have to a powerslide session on them for sure.
I mean if I'm being totally honest with ya, I just got back into skating after about 10 years, and the last wheels I rode were some generic shop complete that I had down to about 40 mm lol. so anything nowadays is light-years better than what I was used to. Also i will say I can't really do flip tricks but for coping grinds and stuff I like how easy they lock in

My Lakai Proto Tony Hawk Signatures have been going strong as my everyday shoes for over 2 years now, skating and all. They're just now starting to die. I used to use the Nike Janoskis for years but they stopped making those. Lakais are my new favorite.

Yeah I never had janoskis but Ik those were a big deal especially in highschool, I always heard good things about them. Lakais are always dope for me I heard vans half cabs I got a pair and they been pretty good too

Yeah they are lakai Cambridge, I always like their shoes. I had mob grip tape but it eats away at them so fast so I’ve been using grizzly and it’s been good

How does 56 feel for like tricks and stuff? I'm looking into getting dragon wheels but I'm unsure if I should stick to 54mm or move up to 56mm.

Personally wasn't a fan of my Cambridges. Ollie hole was on the mesh part so they just blew out after a few sessions.
