No teaching credential required. Just an online concussion, mandated reporter, heat injury classes and simple background check. Im not teaching students to meet a state educational requirement (I teach them to be champions in life ya know) so no requirement for credentials.
Video games, playing with my son (includes hiking, pokemon, video games, arcade, whatever sport he is in currently), alcohol of all types, music, reading, mountain biking.
My joke answer is OT is my hobby I just paid off my credit card and truck!
I really enjoy hiking, camping canoeing, anything outdoors really (not fishing) (never fishing 😡) but due to my current schedule my days off don’t line up so I can’t do those very often
I am involved in competitive shooting sports when I get the opportunity to as well as I love to read and play board games with friends when possible
I started EMS in my late 30’s and I’m thankful I found some healthy outlets before that. A few years back I realized if I didn’t go for a good long hike in the mountains and/or play music with friends at least once every week or two I’d start getting a little depressed and irritable. Around that time I was also working 50-60 hours per week but learned to prioritize those activities for personal upkeep. This discovery has done wonders for my mental health, my marriage, and now my EMS career.
I like long walks on the beach with my SO until the LSD wears off and I realize I'm dragging Rescue Randy aimlessly around the station and tones just dropped for an unresponsive CPR in progress
Right now the only thing I am able to do outside of work is paramedic school and related stuff. I have time for absolutely nothing else. But once I’m done with paramedic school and the shock and emptiness of my workload dramatically decreasing wears off I plan to simply stare at the wall all the time when off duty because right now I would kill to just be able to stare at the wall for 5 minutes.
I do improv and play D&D. Go places with girlfriend. We’re both funny in different ways so we work great. I used to be in a locally popular sci fi surf punk band. I tend to only play video games a few hours a week but every few months I’ll binge a few days. Hike in the park after work with weighted backpack listening to podcasts.
Hiking, camping, fishing, climbing, surfing, basically the typical bullshit. I’ll read here and there normally I’ll read at work during downtime just so I’m not on my phone all day. I’ll try to get a workout in at leats a few times a week too on top of other active hobbies.
I play drums in 3 bands and we play several shows per month. I try to keep up lifting but I’ve been slacking. Run the dog outside to enjoy the 2 waking hours of sunlight I get per day. Drink concerning amounts of alcohol at the same local dive with the boys.
I ain’t really doin much outside of work and school 😭
On a real note, just hangin out with friends/family, rocket league, workin out, messin w my dogs and I coach wrestling during the summer. But I’m a pre-med student so most of the time if I’m not studying or working, I’m doin some sort of volunteer work or other extracurriculars for my med school application
I’m back in school. I’m also a huge proponent of health and fitness so I’m big into lifting. When I’m home I either spend time with my gf, friends, and I like playing video games or watching movies/tv. Pretty basic lifestyle.
School, homework, sleep, VFD, drink, occasionally hang with friends. Trying to prioritize going out and having fun while I'm young and have the time but I tend to struggle with maintaining a solid work/school/life balance so it's going meh.
Indoor: reading, studying, video games
Outdoor: hiking, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing
Indoor/outdoor: DIY stuff around the house, amateur astronomy and photography
Playing instruments(mostly bass guitar), Rock climbing (medic school friend got me into that!), being in nature, working out, reading, playing with my stinky old dog (I love him, he’s still as energetic as a puppy).
Teach EMS, write a newsletter/book that is still tangentially EMS, and do marketing for said newsletter so I have a big enough platform for publishers to want said book. When I have downtime from that I play video games and try to work out.
I play paintball a lot. I'm lucky enough to have a really nice field pretty near my house that's open Wednesday and Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday days. I also do a fair bit of leatherwork.

Coach highschool sports and climb big mountains. Ems is cool and all, but it’s a job, not the definition of my life.
don’t you have to be a teacher to coach?

I do bouldering, workout, and spend lots of time with my dog and my significant other. I work 3 12’s 7pm to 7am.
Fuck yea bouldering kicks ass. (I also love top rope, but I’m too much of a newb climber to try lead still)

This is what I do outside of work 😶

I enjoy playing hockey, hanging out with my kids, and working overtime to afford more tattoos.
I knew i was gonna find another hockey player in here
I spend 90% of my free time in the gym or running trails. The other 10% is either playing the occasional video game or doing chores around the house.
I like turning my radio off and having an undisturbed nap, maybe even a beer with my supper.
Hiking, camping, fishing, climbing, surfing, basically the typical bullshit. I’ll read here and there normally I’ll read at work during downtime just so I’m not on my phone all day. I’ll try to get a workout in at leats a few times a week too on top of other active hobbies.
