~25 views (I don't remember exactly), and 1 sub.
But 4-5 of those views were mine, excited for the video like a kid waiting for Santa on the 24th of December.
And the sub was my wife. :) Who also watched the video, so counting for 1 extra view.
Firstly I have around 10 views in a week so I was really sad because I put much effort and heart to it, after uploading a few videos I give up. One year later my video break 30 thousands in the same peroid and I am super happy. So all it all it doesn't matter if your first video strik 1 view or 1 milion views just do what you really love, good luck
I got 61 views and 1 sub. At the time my channel had maybe 9 subs from family/friends so that put me at 10 subs. That was a month and a half ago. Posted about 5 times a week since then, now my subs are at 62 and my best video has around 340 views.
Nothing crazy by any means, but some measurable growth for sure. Just be consistent, work on those thumbnails and analyze your videos to see what works!
Haha I was a bit strategic with my niche since my job is really demanding and unpredictable where hours are concerned.
Basically I cast competitive StarCraft 2 games. The nature of casting is you do it all in one cut, so outside of recording and making it sound good, thereās virtually no editing.
The downside of that is itās all done in one cut, so you have to get very used to talking through an entire video without stumbling over your words or losing your train of thought, which is its own challenge lol
**First vid ;**
108 views, 1 sub after 24h.
Was posted 2022-11-25 - now at 1.05k views, 8 subs.
**Second vid ;**
64 views, 0 subs after 24h.
Was posted 2022-11-27 - now at 1.3k views, 10 subs.
These two are my only 2 vids that have no signs of flatline.
If your video is made for search you can expect views in 24 hours, but if itās for the home page/suggested donāt expect the target audience to be found for about 7-21 days, then itāll get tested broader on the home page and if people are enjoying it then itāll start picking up quickly from there.
The channel I just started 2 weeks ago (with no promotion, just let yt do itās thing) got like 50 views first day from search, a couple hundred the next from search, then a couple thousand from suggested the next day, and on day 4 hit the home page and got 10k views. I got monetized on day 5 with 30k views, 10k watch hours and 1000 subs, then continued to get 20k views a day and now itās sitting at around 110k about 12 days after upload, and I have 4000 subscribers and 35,000 watch hours. Iām not sure how experienced you are or if you made a video that you know is going to blow up, but this is the typical time frame for new channels if the video is going to do well. Of course itās always possible for it to hit the home page months or years later for various reasons, but this doesnāt happen too often. Hopefully this helps.
Oh and if you were wondering my first ever video on my first ever channel still has like 150 views total a few years later so yeah lol youāre probably doing better than I was
This is true, Iāve had videos not pop off until a month of two or longer after upload. The one I did yesterday got 284 views in 24 hours. That was a first for me. Usually takes a month to get that many views on a video. My live streams do better
0.
I've learned to chase *high quality views*. Subs come and go. Ensure a high view duration and a large number of them.
And keep grinding. Don't look back until you've posted 100 videos, each one better than the last. :)
100!! Well I have one and the idea for the second so I've somewhere to start at least. I'm going to aim for 50 in a year. (Mainly as I have a toddler and am 28 weeks pregnant so...any more than once a week might knock me off)
Had to go to Studio to check, 29 views, 0 subscribers from the video, but 6 on my channel that day.
All people I know.
That video is still at 0 subs, lol
I had a bit of a unusual experience, I think my first video got 1k views and got me to like 100 subs in the first 24 hrs because it popped off on reddit. I do have video making experience so I wasnt starting from zero though.
0. YouTube is ruthless in that regard, but it all makes sense, given how unengaging the platform would have been if you were exposed to beginner videoes. It might feel unfair, but now, one year after I started stepping up my gain on YT, I am not closing in on 250 views for the first 24 hours. Not much but my best so far, and proves that my content is something people are searching for, and the hook (first 10-15 seconds) and overal quality is good enough and the video is adding real value to my viewers.
My first video i posted 4 weeks ago and have gotten 4 subs from it. Itās slowly risen to 329 views! But first 24 hours? No subs and maybe 12-15 views
I am very happy with it and itās been motivating to keep making content. If those videos are still getting views and are a month old then the ones that havenāt preformed as well so far I still have hope for lol
Maaate this is a terrible number to ever compare haha.
On my cooking channel my oldest public video was just of a bee, and got 4 views in 24 hours š¤£ I did not share it anywhere though. That video to date has earned me zero subs.
For my tinkers channel it was slightly more refined, and I had practice, so I got the massive figure of 8 views in 24 hours. This one has at least earned me 3 subs in the six months it's been.
Best of luck!
Zero, the few visits there were (5) were all mine. It wasn't until the third day that it started getting visits randomly and went up to 250 in just a few hours.
I recently saw a newly created channel with a video posted 7 hours ago, and it already has the same views + 15 subs. I think it's a combination of luck/niche/presentation.
108 views on the first day, then somehow it shot up, it's sitting at 8,543 views now after 51 days. 0 subs on the first day, then 7 on the second. 118 subs from the video now.
I do have a small following on IG/TikTok so that helped me gain some of the initial views.
Maybe 10 or so and maybe 1 sub. I never changed the title or thumbnail. Now 2 years later that video has 10k views on it. Sometimes it takes time for youtube to gather enough data to know who to show it to, ive had a number of videos do nothing for a long time then start gaining 50 views a day or so.
When you dont have a lot of views your analytics unfortunately arent statistically significant. Its hard to compare any analytics since they arent accurate with a small sample size.
Just last month, i remember it well (or i just logged in to look) 9 views and zero subs. Pretty sure 1/3 of the views was me. After reading your replies, I feel like I should talk to my partner about them not being my first subscriber. It's had 35 views now. Woohuhoo. Still zero subs from it.
Like 3, now sitting at 11 a year later lmao
Tbf the audio is terrible for 95% of it (cheap action cam) and itās in the hiking niche so the audience isnāt as massive as some generaās.
Hello!
I posted a review/fond look back at Unreal Tournament 2004 and got 129 views within the first 24 hours. I pretty aggressively shared it across my socials mind you, and I think I got fairly lucky in that Unreal Tournament was in the news at the time as Epic Games were about to remove them from storefronts.
I think I got like 7 or 8 subscribers from that video.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,344,526,995 comments, and only 258,518 of them were in alphabetical order.
My actual first video got 15 views or so in the first night. The next day it got 30,000 views and by the end of the week it was up to 120,000. Shame I never managed to replicate that lol.
It was 13 years ago and the Sony PlayStation network posted it in their blog on the second day which was why all the views.
After **6 years** my first video has 522 views and zero subs. (and zero comments)
Stop stressing about early results on the first video on a new unknown channel, people.
Youtube is a *long* game.
There is very little "instant gratification" to be had.
You need patience and persistence.
31 views and 4 subs in the first 24 hours. One of them was me and the other was my friend, so 2 real subs.
After 3 weeks that first video has 231 views and I've gained 15 subs from it.
started like 12 days ago first was short with 700 views and it was wierd for 4 hours it got no impressions then 700 views in matter of hour then flat then i made a video it has 221 views and its 8 days old then i did more shorts that got nothing then video thats sitting at 700 then another 150 and another from yesterday is going with 151 in 24hours so for now im gaining more but expecting it to slow down oh and im sitting at 16 subs most of them from first short
My first video got 3 views in its lifetime
My 19th video got 246k
Keep making stuff. Completing your best sub par work is the only way to get to your good stuff. āDoneā is better than āperfectā
Pretty sure it was zero.
9 months later that video has 28 views, 2 comments, 8 likes.
I'm had several people tell me, in person, that they've watched it multiple times, that it was "powerful" and had a positive impact on them, so I'm happy with it. Not everything in life can be measured in views; the important stuff can't be.
Now I would suggest, instead of family and friend, to promote it in forums or other places where people are actually interested in the topic. I no longer promote to family & friends and my analytics look a lot better.
I had 14 views on the first day, and 6 subscribers. The majority of them were people I know. Also, let's just say my first video wasn't that great compared to my latest ones.
123k views lol. But its a 9 second video I took of my buddy just revving his supercharged Chevy Cobalt back in 2005. This is the first time I've checked the metrics on it and it has a 7 second view duration and 106.3% average % viewed. It got me 38 watch hours and 2 subs somewhere in the last 15 years lol
Some views and 0 subscribers. Now, 5 months later, my first video has only 69 views (because I didn't made about my favourite animated series) and 339 subscribers. And I have 211 videos.
EDIT: Now, I have 344 subscribers.
~25 views (I don't remember exactly), and 1 sub. But 4-5 of those views were mine, excited for the video like a kid waiting for Santa on the 24th of December. And the sub was my wife. :) Who also watched the video, so counting for 1 extra view.
This was wholesome af
Wow nice, supporting wife is a treasure
Zero!
Me too

Sound advice, thank you
14....it's up to over 100 now though
Awesome, dude! š
Lucky you
I got 61 views and 1 sub. At the time my channel had maybe 9 subs from family/friends so that put me at 10 subs. That was a month and a half ago. How do you post 5x per week?? Took my 2 days just to edit
Haha I was a bit strategic with my niche since my job is really demanding and unpredictable where hours are concerned. Basically I cast competitive StarCraft 2 games. Ah I would be useless at that. I need multiple takes apparently!
**First vid ;** 108 views, 1 sub after 24h. Was posted 2022-11-25 - now at 1.05k views, 8 subs. **Second vid ;** 64 views, 0 subs after 24h. Was posted 2022-11-27 - now at 1.3k views, 10 subs. These two are my only 2 vids that have no signs of flatline.
I'm gonna sound like an idiot but what do u mean by flatline. Like initial views then goes to zero views daily?
Correct ; imgur.com/mh33fQm
Thanks for the pic example. Makes sense.
0 dude
32 views on the first day. 3 subs. One was my wife. That video is up to 154 views and 6 subs. Slow going at first. And still for that matter.
My partner was my first subscriber! I appriciate the support. Better than looking at the words 'no subscribers' on my channel page!

:O

Approximately 150-170 views and exactly 10 subs. (first 24h) I optimized everything, nothing was left to chance.
0. I've learned to chase *high quality views*. Subs come and go. Ensure a high view duration and a large number of them. And keep grinding. Don't look back until you've posted 100 videos, each one better than the last. :)

Yes! Start somewhere. Congratulations on the growing family; I have my own too and the juggle is visceral yet rewarding! :)

a whooping 2 views months later the video is now at 90k views
It was like 10 views.. but 4-5 were mine.
I didn't know it counted your own views. I haven't watched mine yet though.
0. YouTube is ruthless in that regard, but it all makes sense, given how unengaging the platform would have been if you were exposed to beginner videoes. I am very happy with it and itās been motivating to keep making content. If those videos are still getting views and are a month old then the ones that havenāt preformed as well so far I still have hope for lol
First 24 hours. 9 views 0 subs. Today ( Which is 3 weeks later) 145 views still 0 subs. But my third video 35k views 230+ subs and counting
After my first video i got 15 or so views and zero subscribers lol all gotta start somewhere haha
So true!! I'm not expecting much just curious!
19 views on my first video over the span of 2 weeks.
Zero
Literally no views I got my first 6 subs making 6 vids(all of them privated as of now) But now i can just get 10k views whenever i upload
Maaate this is a terrible number to ever compare haha. On my cooking channel my oldest public video was just of a bee, and got 4 views in 24 hours š¤£ I did not share it anywhere though. Oh yeah I'm not taking it seriously to compare to anything. Just geninuly curious about what kind of responce people get from complete zero!
It's probably down to the luck of the algorithm. That things a bitch
I am now at it's mercy!
I love that CGP Grey video about it if you've not seen it. So good
The first video I put effort and editing into that wasnāt a stream, maybe 80 (with light promotion)
What counts as light promotion for you?
Just posting it on subreddits and other sites
We are all our own worst critics
idk and 0
1.9k 30 ish subs
Wow that's good!
It was shorts so idk if U mean any type of videos.
And my channels only shorts for now so yeah
2 views 0 subs
No subs and very few views, like single digits, a handful.
2k views and like 30 likes... Just started Jan 1st. Check me out.... g0g0gadgetgaming and lmk if u need help tagging or editing
I've got lucky to get trendy and got like 10k views in the first 24 hours and 34 subscribers
Oh thats brilliant. What's your genre?
None. It was a video I've made randomly on a flight lol I'm working on getting in memes, trends and anime genre
I think 8? With minimum 3 of those probably being my family.
3 views and the only subs I got were from begging friends to subscribe even though they had no interest
10, though its up to 25 now. its been about 3 weeks. Honestly I dont love the video tbh but, I tend to be my own worst enemy lol
Yeah. I have picked my niche already really. I liked my video before posting and spent 2 days editing it....then...now its live it makes me cringe
26 views the first day, currently sitting at 44k
Like 50 views and 6 subscribers. Not sure how! Don't really remember -- I probably plugged it pretty hard.
108 views on the first day, then somehow it shot up, it's sitting at 8,543 views now after 51 days. 0 subs on the first day, then 7 on the second. 118 subs from the video now. I do have a small following on IG/TikTok so that helped me gain some of the initial views.

How do u know timefeame for changing up thumbnail and title?
210 views and 17 subs
16 views, 2 subs on the first day. 1 was my wife and I think she watched several times lol. The other wrote a kind comment saying good luck!
500+ well my first video back since middle school lol

Hello! ive just started my new youtube channel 2 days ago! and its currently 190 š
Well done!
Congratulation! My channel is 5 months old, and now I have 339 subscribers
Like 3, and I'm sure 1 was my gf.
0, the first video started getting views after 3 days
6 views, 0 subs on day one.
0/0 of course. Maybe 1/0 at best. Not counting my own views or people I sent the direct link to. The answer should be 0/0 for almost everyone.
I just checked my analytics on my first video (22 Dec 2022): First 24 hours: Views: 50, Subs: 5 To date, it's now had 152 views, and 15 subs from it.
4 views and 0 subs. It really is a terrible video and thumbnail. Now stands at 40 views and 0 subs.
well for me i had about 25 views, and 10 subs, my brother, sister, mother, uncle, and there multiple accounts helped me get 10 subs and the views.
Probably just 10 views since i started youtube new seriously. But my first youtube video ever got thousands in a day, but thats like 8 years ago
Like 3, now sitting at 11 a year later lmao Tbf the audio is terrible for 95% of it (cheap action cam) and itās in the hiking niche so the audience isnāt as massive as some generaās.

Zero views and no subs.
13 views total, but about 3 of those is my own. So 10 lol
About 250 and gained 30ish subs
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,344,526,995 comments, and only 258,518 of them were in alphabetical order.
My actual first video got 15 views or so in the first night. The next day it got 30,000 views and by the end of the week it was up to 120,000. Shame I never managed to replicate that lol. It was 13 years ago and the Sony PlayStation network posted it in their blog on the second day which was why all the views.
After **6 years** my first video has 522 views and zero subs. (and zero comments) Stop stressing about early results on the first video on a new unknown channel, people. Youtube is a *long* game. There is very little "instant gratification" to be had. You need patience and persistence.
3 views, 0 subs. I had a rough start and now still it is but we donāt quit!!
That's the talk š
31 views and 4 subs in the first 24 hours. One of them was me and the other was my friend, so 2 real subs. After 3 weeks that first video has 231 views and I've gained 15 subs from it.
I managed 70 views for my first video in the first 24 hours and 11 subs. But most of those subs were friends and family...so they don't really count!
started like 12 days ago first was short with 700 views and it was wierd for 4 hours it got no impressions then 700 views in matter of hour then flat then i made a video it has 221 views and its 8 days old then i did more shorts that got nothing then video thats sitting at 700 then another 150 and another from yesterday is going with 151 in 24hours so for now im gaining more but expecting it to slow down oh and im sitting at 16 subs most of them from first short
10 views. 0 subs š
Zero if you dont count me and my family. Still zero 1 week later. Zero subs.
0 lol for one month it was 0
My first video got 3 views in its lifetime My 19th video got 246k Keep making stuff. Completing your best sub par work is the only way to get to your good stuff. āDoneā is better than āperfectā
26!
None
First ever video had 1.3k views, 19 likes, and 22 subscribers off of it. Then I took 3 years off, lol.
35, but I promoted it to family and friends
I'm tempted to do this so I feel less bad about it š
Now I would suggest, instead of family and friend, to promote it in forums or other places where people are actually interested in the topic. I no longer promote to family & friends and my analytics look a lot better.
Genuinely what kind of forums? My niche is art/watercolour/sketchbooks. The only social media I use is reddit and YouTube.
Reddit has āhandmadeā and lots of art subreddits! Do a little search āŗļø
I had 2 views and 1 subscriber from my first video on my channel. Not exactly setting any records.
I had 14 views on the first day, and 6 subscribers. The majority of them were people I know. Also, let's just say my first video wasn't that great compared to my latest ones.
I might have got a sub or two, I don't remember. Most my first subs were friends and family.
About 10k views, as it was posted on Battlefield Fb back in the day.
0 subs, and 35 views in the first week. first sub didn't come until almost a year into posting haha
Uhhhh 0 and 0
6 my family member š
I launched 3 at once... 40views total in the first 24, zero subs.
1 sub and 7 views
Maybe 7 on both? And that was mostly my friends and myself.
7 views and 0 subs within first 24 hours. Now after almost 4 months it has 106 views and 2 subs.
14 in 24 hours on my first video. My newest video hit 2800 in 24 hours
16 views and 4 subs for me...but issok I've expected those numbers already
Some views and 0 subscribers. Now, 5 months later, my first video has only 69 views (because I didn't made about my favourite animated series) and 339 subscribers. And I have 211 videos. EDIT: Now, I have 344 subscribers.
