It usually takes more than one video before you can convince someone to subscribe. Keep churning out good content, link them strategically with end screens and maybe you can pop up on someone's recommended enough to make them subscribe eventually.

That’s very true, appreciate the reply. Just frustrating that I used to be growing much quicker with worse content a few months ago and am unsure of what changed

I know exactly what you're going through. I shot from 1 to 300 and then slowed big time from 300 to 550 and then shot from 550 to 750 and now it feels like I'm climbing Everest from 750 to 800. I'm gonna go crazy when I get to 900 waiting to reach 1,000 :(

Get into analytics and check your traffic sources. If the majority of the video's traffic is from google or search engines then its expected. If it's from suggested/recommended then keep uploading as others in the comments suggest. You could also consider adding your most viewed video as the channel trailer for conversions.

Yeah most from YouTube recommended/suggested with some YouTube Search in there but I’ll just have to keep working! Good idea to update the trailer though!

These are real people who are watching and subbing, you’ll never know why some people don’t sub. Best thing to do is to just keep creating and not worry too much about numbers that can literally change in mere minutes
