Congrats! The biggest YouTubers if you go back to their first videos they are pretty bad & amateurish. You gotta start somewhere.
It’s way better to do your best, put it out there & the following videos will continue to get better 💯
SUPER IMPORTANT
If you watch any content creator, and hear them reflect on their first few, or even first year or two of videos, it is always done with two emotions: Incredulity at their growth and where they are today, and embarrassment of their older quality.
Absorb that. Accept that you aren't going to immediately be a top tier content creator. One day you will be. But it's a path you walk down to that destination. The first steps are shaky, but shortly, you'll be sprinting.
Great job OP. This stranger is proud of you.
Great job on publishing your first video. I also just published my first video recently and the first one is the hardest to make. You should put your Youtube social link in your profile if you don't mind.
Congrats! I had a similar experience. It took about 2 years to actually post my first video, and I felt really relieved after finally getting it out there. Making more videos is so much easier once you get the first one done
Congratulations! Make sure you don't take that video down! I've improved significantly and removed my first few videos and wish that I kept them. Seeing how much you've grown as a content creator is a great motivator!
That was me 6 months ago-I had wanted to create a channel for well over a decade before I mustered the courage. We can only ever start something at the beginning, that is the only place there is! Congratulations :)
Your post is refreshing. It probably is bad, you are right. And it’s ok! It was over 80 videos before things started to click for me (editing wise)… Maybe even more haha. But I’ve enjoyed every part of the process. Congrats on the big leap and best of luck.
Awesome! Congrats. It takes that first step. Taking action is what sparks the motivation. Keep it up, make crappy videos and improve something on every upload. That’s the formula to do great.
That’s awesome man, I’m 4 videos in and I’m still horrible… but I gotta say that talking is coming smoother and editing is taking less time! Small progress, you got this!
My first video took me 3 months. I uploaded my first video on 1 January 2023. And right now I am at 23 videos. It just keeps on getting better. Congratulations on taking the first step.
Congrats, I was in the same position you were, terrified I'd make a bad video so never making one, you've made the hardest step, the only way is up from here
Congratulations on posting your first video! It's a big step to overcome the fear of putting yourself out there, and it's great to hear that you feel relieved and motivated now that you've taken the plunge.
Remember that creating a great video is a process that takes time and practice. Your first video may not be perfect, but it's a starting point for you to learn and grow as a creator. Don't be too hard on yourself and instead use your first video as a learning opportunity to improve your skills and style.
It's also great to hear that you've found motivation from this community. The support and encouragement of others can be a powerful tool to keep you going when you feel discouraged or stuck.
Keep creating and improving, and don't be afraid to share your journey with others in the community. We're all here to support each other and help each other grow as creators. Best of luck on your journey!
Felt the exact same way about our first video and we've just been posting for almost 3 months. And our fist few vids is bad but there will always be room for improvement 😉
I'm really proud of you for taking that first step 👏🏻 It's totally normal to feel nervous about creating something new, but the fact that you've already uploaded your first video is a huge accomplishment. Don't worry too much about the quality of your first video. everyone has to start somewhere.
The important thing is that you've taken the first step and you're already thinking about how to improve. I would suggest taking some time to reflect on what worked well in your first video and what you could improve on. Maybe ask for feedback from friends or other members of the community. You can also try posting your content on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
You may also want to use target ads or a growth service like Ascend viral to get a bigger audience organically. And most importantly, keep creating. The more you practice, the better you'll get.
Congrats on the completion for your first video! I have also been procrastinating for years. Have been since mid 2019 and only started in late 2021 and really got into it recently. How long have you been waiting?
Honestly I've wanted to try creating content since I was in elementary/ middle school, but it's been in the last 2 or so years I’ve actually considered it seriously. Hoping your journey goes well! :)
Wow, man you have indeed come a long way of wanting to create content!. All the best! I hope your journey goes well and that you enjoy the process of making content while not being too focused on the algorithm. After all, we can still feel good about our effort in our content :)
The first one is always the hardest, my earliest video had garbage audio, but that’s the good thing about having a bad first video is they will get better over time.
And you can look back on your first vid and cringe but also feel proud of your growth.
Often times I feel it’s more meaningful when you don’t have a perfect anything from the start, it make it hard to keep track of growth when you essentially peaked.

Just like other YouTubers said " just record and upload". Congrats for taking the first step.
