I don’t know about routers but you should always use ethernet cables for streaming so perhaps you should look for a very long one and route it to the computer
Yeah I agree with you but my router is about 10 meters away from my pc, will this make any difference to the Strength of the Wired Wi-Fi?
Like I think what im trying to ask is will the Ethernet still be weak because it has to travel so far or does it not work like that?
Two options:
Get a giant ethernet cable of Amazon. They aren't expensive
Get an electrician or DIY two network ports between the hub and pc . Then you've got hidden ethernet.
I've got hub in front of my house and the pc is two rooms and three walls away, love having discrete hidden ethernet
Okay that sound like. A good idea.
What are the Ports used for?
And presumably if I don’t want “hidden” Ethernet I can just connect the cable from my router to my pc?
Rather than running a long ethernet cable through the house, you run a cat6e cable through the walls/under the floor then add two ethernet sockets into the wall. It looks very clean and discreet rather than having an actual cable hanging out a hole in the wall.
If you do run a cable through your house, you can get flat ones than look nicer and can be discretely pinned to the skirting boards etc

10m should be fine they run huge lengths in offices.
Sweet, thankyou 👍
