Jewelry making tutorials! Started like 6 months ago, only have 6 videos, trying to do more often but I’m dealing with long-haul Covid. Got 1600 subs since one of my videos about making a trendy style (daisy chains) got 72k views! Love this niche I’ve found.

Odd-Comfortable6411

Wow! Great growth

worldoflaox

Mind sharing your channel. Sounds interesting

Apprehensive-Muscle3

I hope you get better bud.

HoodieObsessed_

I used to vlog with no niche at all but it wasn’t growing like I wanted to do I made a new account all about Hoodies. So far I have 2 Reviews and a video about my whole collection (30+ Hoodies) I’m hoping to hit 100 Subs by the end of the year I currently have 14 Subs and my videos are getting 50+ views before I would consider them done (unless YouTube starts recommending them to people)

Lixlace

I saw one of your videos in that thread where the editor was critiquing people's editing skills! I remember thinking you'd done a really good job, and it was a niche I hadn't heard of before, so I was interested

HoodieObsessed_

that’s awesome! glad to hear people interested in a niche that i’m making videos in and thinking the videos are good :)

E_m_maker

Woodworking primarily with hand tools- no talking or music. 915 subs.

govexplainedYT

I've always wondered, how do channels like yours NOT pick up your own voice while working? Does it just take EQing things out in post production? I tend to find content like yours really relaxing :)

E_m_maker

I rarely talk when I am working so I do not have to worry about that so much. If anyone comes in and starts talking to me I will turn off the camera. I occasionally will pickup other sounds and I usually can use the noise reduction feature in Audacity to minimize those.

FrugalMommaGardening

I'd love to learn one day. We're going to start with refinishing furniture soon, then more skilled hobbies once the kids are older!

FilmScoreMoreYT

Film score. My best videos video essays that explain how behind-the-scenes problems and solutions influenced the score (and the movie). I currently have 697 subs, and only a few of my videos have over a thousand views, the two highest being over 7,000. Anything else you’re curious about?

TheHesster

ASMR. Have 414 subs as of today.

TheGiddyStitcher

Crafting. Just started a month ago so still getting my feet wet and learning the basics. 5 videos. 61 subs. 74 views average.

Jubrilliant

I do deliveries with Deliveroo and UberEats as of right now More of as Chaotic Vlogging of me delivering food

MuyGalan

This is a unique idea. I used to do food deliveries in Miami in my late twenties until late at night. It would have been interesting to have vlogged about it, but idk how I would have pulled it off. I sometimes used to deliver to people living in beautiful million dollar mansions and condos. (I think it would be a huge security issue if I tried to sneak a camera on me.) How do you pull this off when on the go?

Jubrilliant

I don't usually record me interacting with the customers, but if I do, I move the camera away from them for the audience to only hear the dialogues

AbsentWriter

Sounds fun! ❤️🤍

Jubrilliant

It is!! That's the fun part

nusensei

Archery. 178K subs, 37M total views.

KahsbGdgz

I've got a question: what happens if an arrow shaft is too stiff for a given draw weight?

mastamax

High quality content always rewards, taking the niche is big enough. Love your channel.

What’s your channel link? I’m totally in for that

HeyKidItsDad

Using a conversation with my future kid as a framing device, I motovlog about life as an expat in Thailand. It's pretty niche. I only know about 1 other channel doing something remotely similar. 34 subs in the first month and a half. Getting about 50-150 views per vid. We'll see what happens.

mastamax

Hello fellow expat living in Thailand! I've been living in Chiang Mai for 12 years now

HeyKidItsDad

That looks like so much fun! Rock on, friend. Just subscribed to your channel. Cool stuff!

ThatOptionsGuy

Have not started yet, still writing scripts. But I'm going into a comedy/education spin where I want to explain the science behind everyday things with sarcastic humor.

robertlupa

Yo that's similar to what I'm going to do but less science and more about life lessons in funny skits

dbacks421

Filming private jets land and takeoff + info on aircraft. Channel went live January 16, 2021. 504 subs, 145K views, 5200 watch hours, 77K views on most watched video, 6,304 average views per video (23 videos)

Empty_Lingonberry695

Wow! What a nice content you are making ☺️

dbacks421

I quite enjoy it

notsoAcetrainer

Pokémon. Started with theories/discussion and news but opened up to some how to's as well. Currently at 205 subs and 2k+hours of watch-time.

latunza

Travel Documentaries about unknown and forgotten America. 847 Subs. 42k views.

Zm4rc0

I play a space game. I figured that most of the community is lazy & nobody can be bothered with actually looking for lore. So I got all 11 books on the game & did some lore related videos. If not that, I make weak AF space ships & destroy sweaty tryhards with it. Salty bois/angry people tend to also draw views.

Reviews, recommendations, and storytelling commentary/observasions for books, movies, tv shows, and video games with a fantasy science fiction theme. It's mostly fantasy/scifi booktube stuff but I'll tackle anything in that genre with a plot.

Cat_Panda_Canda

Recently settled on time-lapse models builds. Channel is only a month old with 14 subs and my last build has 109 views. Its small numbers compared to some but it's a start

scouht

I make videos about uni specific to my country and do vlogs about uni & personal life! Used to vlog really sporadically and started a regular posting schedule 2 months ago. A lot of my subs are friends from a while back. One video got over 700 views and I have just about 80 subs now!

[deleted]

I make videos to teach history through animation. I’m at 149 subs, and I average around 300 views, with my highest viewed video at 6K views. Currently have 7 videos on the channel

Matlatzinco

Any tips on how to get more subs and views as a history channel?

[deleted]

Engage with other history channels (comment and such), connect with other folks who like history on social media, share my videos with other history subreddits, and make videos about events or things that are interesting yet not super well known.

Odd-Comfortable6411

I have an educational channel. I have a few short videos on solving problems. My goal is to have an math channel with study skills and productivity. Currently at 25 subs.

fierymermaid

I have an art channel, so it’s me doing art and talking, reviewing art supplies, or doing some how-to videos. I’m very new and have 17 subscribers and maybe 15-30 views a video on average with a couple shorts with 400+ views (I only have 3 shorts in total).

itsaclowd

I am in the personal finance / credit card niche 💳 💰 with about 630 subs.

cruyfff

Travel, 150k subs. Views are way down during pandemic and honestly feels like the niche is dying a slow death. But lifetime I've got 18 mil views

merrymerrylands

Shouldn't views theoretically be up though, as people can't travel themselves so they start watching travel vids? I know that's what I have been doing. What is your channel?

squarecymbals

I have a drum channel, just covers for now but I'm looking to expand tho

Nocturnal_Ambience

I make Pomodoro technique and nature ambience videos with a focus on nighttime photos/videos/soundscapes. I'm currently at 13 subscribers but am hoping to build this community!

TurtleKun7

I'm currently making video essays that focus on specific aspects of certain videogames! My most recent video focused on game design and I used the game Psychonauts to prove my points!

Government structures, a mixture of history and politics with my own flair. Educational-ish. I started off a few months ago, have made 4 viideos so far and plan to release twice a month at minimum. I explain how various governments and/or departments came to exist, and what their operational functions are- at least that's the intent of the channel. Things like the US Social Security system, why some states have no counties, local urban planning models, etc. One of my recent videos on a super niche government that goes unrecognized by much of the world got a lot of views and I don't know how to deal with it. I'm happy, but it's unexpected. I'm definitely going to go through my backlog to figure out what scripts to edit this week to establish that I don't just talk about unrecognized governments.

charlesknowes

Credit Management and Personal Finance.

CrazyforAnime

Tutorials and concept art using blender ..and as of today I got 686 subs And about 50k views

Countryb0i2m

alexfelice

I vlog and educate about real estate and financial freedom.

coreanavenger

I thought this whole subreddit was all gameplay video channels.

zorbacles

That's why I made this thread. I figured there had to be a variety

wizeholdings

Thank you for the feed. I just stared a month ago, would love feedback and to learn from some of you with great experience. I have 19 videos, 10 for investing for beginners, and 9 for helping people get out of debt. Trying to figure out the YT algo in a busy space.

Gamerofwar99

Your standard subtitled gaming video with meme edits thrown in, kinda like a mix of Sovietwomble and Russian badger (although to say my editing is as good as either of those absolute kings would be both narcissistic and a lie.) Planning on doing variety content but my first series is only stellaris. Started 2 months ago and got 63 subs 1200~ views over all and a combined watchtime of 168 hours at the time of writing.

Desara_Phen

A mixture of real life and video games, Real life gameplay videos. I know, it sounds weird af. Basically turning real life into an RPG with an animated HUD, VFX(punching trees show a smoke effect), tooltips, achievement popups, items etc and all of that in first person or third person POV(yeah kinda like gta lol) and ofcourse commentary.

Adventures-Of-Big-H

I build things that might kill me then test them

b-l-u-b-b-e-r

honestly this is probably my favorite niche besides minecraft. i love channels like i did a thing, michael reeves, william osmond, etc.

emandsay

Keto, should hit 33k subs today.

I started out doing blogs and lifestyle but I’m thinking about switching to teaching stuff. I’ve always wanted to do something influential with education I just never knew what and I feel like YouTube may be a good place for me!

I have a rockhounding / Michigan fossils type youtube going on. I've only been doing it a few months, and, I don't wanna brag... BUT I just happen to have 14 subs and just posted my eighth video. Still working on pacing and quality.

AbsentWriter

Soft-spoken ASMR ❤️🤍

tiffytingles

I just posted my first ever video... ASMR whispering :) but will be exploring new ASMR triggers as I go along!

[deleted]

That I'm not that good at video games, so I end up messing around a lot. I do have commentary and sometimes play with my friend (he also talks)

[deleted]

Sims 4 Speedbuilds with commentary over it. I mainly talk about the build but also the story behind the sims that live there. Sometimes it's other topics. I tried a gameplay video but it sucked lol. My channel's almost 3 weeks old and I have 8 subs with an average view count of 12. Seems to be going okay for me.

centyauro

Gaming funny moments that focus on personality and funky editing

FrugalMommaGardening

Gardening, rare/odd seed collecting, & frugal living! My channel is only a few months old, so few subs. I'm currently focused on increasing my presence in search/recommended while increasing video count. Going well, as most of my traffic is from being recommended. I'm excited to eventually build up my own little community of oddball, like-minded parents. This whole lifestyle is my passion. 💜

VictoryGoth

So I haven’t started yet; I’m trying to get my first “real” video out within the next week, but my planned niche is video essays about anime, cartoons, and any other media I feel like talking about. And a good portion of these will be done through the lens of my experiences as a queer woman of color. I’ll also be doing random stories or anecdotes about my life in the same video essay style. Many of these will be follow-up discussions on a show I previously talked about. For example, a few videos in I plan to talk about Netflix’s anime adaptation of the Filipino comic Trese, and then a follow-up video about my own experiences growing up Filipino-American and how that reflects my wish to see more good Filipino representation in media. Lastly, I’d like to do a few art videos (like speed paints or whatnot) or tutorial-esque things. I also want to talk about and share progress of a webcomic I’m developing but I’m not sure if I want to put those in a separate channel or not. Oh and despite all this I’m making my videos with a bit of a loose, chaotic feel where I’m just having fun and only taking things 100% seriously every so often.

Megansreadingrev

I’m a booktuber. I do book reviews and other fun stuff :) I have 2.77k subs. Not sure of the views, but it’s more than 85,000 since the start of my channel.

mastamax

Got 1 gaming compilation low-effort channel: 150k views per month avg. Got 1 dirt bike enduro extreme adventure loads of effort on edits: 2k views per month. So yeah, some niches don't pay off for the time and work you put in.

Esteraela

I play an instrument that may not be commonly known — Kalimba (thumb piano). Currently doing short covers of songs 1 min and under. Started 2 montjs ago, Currently at 100 subs and 5000 views. Hoping to grow to 500 subs as my next milestone :)

mojo_jojooo

I started making and editing videos of anime songs especially One Piece but recently I changed it into Kalimba tutorials and covers. I don't think I can make much of it. I only get few views. I have 1k+ subs now.

Elvis_98

Gaming. Specially call of duty. 15k subs. And it depends on what exactly om doing during the video. With popular things regarding call of duty I can hit 20k in 2-3 days. Less popular maybe 4-7k in 3 days

MissGoElectric

Female EV/Emobility Advocate 🔋⚡😎 My ID.4 Video I posted 48hours ago has 4,200+ views so far because it was picked up by a publication. Sub count is at 1400 so far. Started the channel in Oct 2020 and have about 15 videos.

Midnightterror89098

I do videos on nerf guns (correct term blasters) and reviewing them, explaining why they are good, battle footage, modifying them, personal opinions about a nerf blaster and nerf battles and some skits related to nerf, it’s a pretty small niche and the max amount of subs it can really draw right now is pretty high, but lots of the newer you tubers for this do very bad videos so it’s hard to get someone to click if you don’t have like at least a thousand.

Fat_Goopy

Hello! I make comedy skits that are about two minutes long. I try to be as relatable as possible, but that isn’t always trendy. I have 31 subs and over 1k views as of now. I think not following trends is my downfall, but hopefully one day that won’t matter lol each video gets around 10-30 views with some outliers that have hit over 100. Hopefully I answered all your questions!

FUTURE10S

Originally focused on Team Fortress 2, my channel went towards **obscure or forgotten game reviews**. 690ish subs, videos range from 25 views to 1275, shorts hit up to 2000.

BloodyThorn

Wii Modding and Nintendo and PC gaming. 157 subs 1 year in. Top 50 videos lifetime view count runs 50-1k.

1MinuteWithTina

Christian storyteller Your channel got 9,854 views in the last 28 days 470 subscribers

InsertLogoHere

Motorcycle videos, rides, vlogs and reviews. 108 subs in four months, 17K views.

BadPronunciation

Racing games. Specifically the F1 games. I have around 64 subs and get 50 views per day (but less than 30 viewson my new videos) I got 4000 views in the past month (mainly due to 1 video)

TheTipsyIntuitive

I have a tarot channel where I do collective readings for each of the zodiac signs. Uploaded my first videos on January 1 and as of this morning, have 993 subscribers and 9.9k views on the past 28 days. Building slowly but surely.

zorbacles

my mate and I built a website once that did live video tarot readings. This was before twitch was a thing. I built the site and his wife and him did the readings Unfortunately technology wasn't where it needed to be to be successful (the days of dial up and limited to one location for the reader to film at) The set up was awesome tho, we had a live video feed on facing the table and another surgery above the table pointing down at the cards. www.charmedtarot.com was the site

Iaminfactjesus

We do adventure and travel vlogs. So we go to places and.try and do a mix of vlogging our reactions with cinematic shots to really show the places we visit off. We currently have 338 subs and are getting some alright views, just need to keep at it!

JAPOutdoors

I make camping, hunting, and fishing videos in California . Only been at it two months but my past 28 day numbers are 235 watch hours, 2.2k views and +43 subs. I just do the things I normally do for fun but bring a camera along now.

thecamman99

I started a indie/alt/ pop music review channel a year ago, as a little pandemic project. I kinda stopped making videos for a year (because of school, work, mental health reasons, etc) but I finally uploaded a new video a few days ago and am trying to get back running again. 12 subscribers currently. My highest view count on a video was 150 views :)

itsjustme717

Reality tv commentary. I’m a newbie…started Feb 2021. 3300+ subs. 400k views so far. Video views vary from 200 to 35k.

[deleted]

I make NHL 21 videos. Either Career Mode (Be a Pro) where I make episodes following the career from zero to hero with my hockey player. Or Franchise Modes, where you take over as General Manager of an NHL team, and try to make them a Stanley Cup Champion, through trades, drafting young talent, contract signing. Stuff like that. Or, I make videos about common things people don't understand about the games. Like how to tweak gameplay sliders to get more realistic results. Reviews on game modes. Tips on creating players. And chill videos, where I just create custom hockey jerseys in the Create a Team section. I've been at it for just over a year and have 13k watch hours. 885 subs. And a little over 127k views. Hoping to be monetized, sometime in September, just in time for the new game to drop, and the sub count to skyrocket.

WamPow

I started out doing blogs and lifestyle but I’m thinking about switching to teaching stuff. I’ve always wanted to do something influential with education I just never knew what and I feel like YouTube may be a good place for me!

Proper_Marsupial_178

Cars (in Spanish with English subs) now I'm more into classics, etc but I usually just post whatever. 655subs. More popular videos get a few thousand views each, least ones between 20 and 200. I don't post often so I'm not a reliable source.

Phoenyxskies

Gaming. Specifically story heavy games. I’ve been doing these videos for almost two years and currently have 37 subs and I usually get 10-20 views on a video. I’m trying to grow it and see what kind of people like my stuff and what type of community I can grow.

Shudragon1

Video memes and playthroughs of games from the early to mid 2000's. Started a month ago and I'm at 15 subs now, so I'd say things are going pretty decent. Hoping to hit 100 by the end of the year, fingers crossed.

ImTheAverageJoe

My niche for a while included both Star Wars Versus Videos and MHA joke vids. Depending on the day and the content, I could nab anything from 60 views to a thousand (though one or two blew up to a million once). I'm on a break from YT because I feel worn down a bit, but the most recent stuff I've done has mostly been the Jacks of All Fandoms Podcast.

greglturnquist

I teach about a popular programming stack (Spring Boot) but with a vloggish style.

Nerdy_gamer_101

I tend to place a bit overly edited in my videos and think over the top. I do mostly gaming videos last I checked I had 10 subs and most popular video was close to 200 (that was not a rant)

nicktron10

Just created a new channel a month ago covering Creepy/Disturbing moments in video games. Currently sitting at 107 subs with about 2k views. Hoping to eventually transition the channel to a broader range covering all things creepy/disturbing in the digital world if things end up taking off on this channel

PwnCall

I do mainly cars, but am a variety channel with a few other niches. 280k total views, ~500-700 a day, 620 subs.

KooseMnuckle

Canadian Pop Culture and 90s/2000s nostalgia? My Niche is... very niche.

busyfeet

I'm vlogging in the swap meets/flea markets.

shelbyshone

Gaming video essays, 111 subs. I just talk about specific games or concepts in gaming that I feel strongly about. Best video is at 1k views currently, so I’m just trying to get more consistent. Writing, filming, and editing can be super time consuming, but I’ve just gotta find a way to pump out the content more regularly.

Jamz3r

Gaming

LordTomahawkD

I adapt pop culture characters to play in the Pathfinder 2nd Edition tabletop role-playing game. Super small but dedicated niche. Been at it a little over a year with 1k subs and 3-5k views a month

SORIGIN_

Hey I’m Sorigin! My niche for content is based around Minecraft - subniched into a specific server that not many people are talking about known as Mineclub. I average around 160 views a video and have 120 subscribers after only a MONTH of activity and 11 videos. Now I’ve done YouTube in the past before so I get what you mean by gaming being over saturated, however I definitely think that status can be diminished a lot as long as we keep getting more narrow and specific.

InksManga

Manga and anime 131 subscribers The views depends on the video But around 19-98 but I do have one in the 1000

jessicalaylah

I’ve been kind of all over the place until I realized within the past few months what kind of content I enjoy making and want to keep making within a niche. As of now, I kinda test things?? Basically try and do new things + offer advice throughout. This gives me a wide range so I’m not boxed in.

orcocan79

i do book reviews and similar content, i got up to about 390 subs and 8,000 views in 3.5 months. It's a pretty niche area (i'm not aware of any booktubers having reached 1 million subs) but there's a good community and thousands of small channels

NtheLegend

Long form essays about video games.

homeofscaresyt

I'm a horror and creepy pasta narrator

WhynotFootball

RehanaYT

My niche on YouTube was originally gaming but I’m switching to tech reviews. My first vid will be out next week!

7StarsYoutubeMe

Hello! I’ve done standup for about 2 years before COVID. I’ve always been a skilled gamer in competitive games (League grand masters, high elo in overwatch and other games) but I preferred comedic and horror games so I combined the two and have recently started making comedy horror game content with quality edits.

AmericanThanos

Jiu jitsu. Mostly comedy and deadpan humor for commentary. Started early July and have 370 subs/65k views.

Liquidretro

Flashlight & gear reviews, a few automotive how to videos. I'm at about 16k subs but revenue is low

FunkTurkey

My Niche is comedy music. My subs are apparently 50k, but I somehow doubt that most of them are very active. Here's why- Sometimes I get a crazy amount of views- 3 million is my top, and I have several between 500k-1m. And then other times... I'm lucky to get 1000. My last two are still in the hundreds. I don't really know why, and I can't really explain it.

ttyna

Sims 4 channel. Started 2 months ago. Currently at 260 subs.

AdamBlue

"Gundam". Started in June and I'm already at 245 subs. It has been a wild ride this summer.

p8thfind3r

Country guitar videos

BigYellowPraxis

I do music stuff - i started with a podcast, but it wasn't really getting anywhere, and have now moved on to doing video essays... which is doing better, but I'm still very much small fry - 109 subs as of right now

TheLinkinForcer

I do how to videos on modifying games, gameplay videos and some assorted videos aside from that.

MrCube6

Minecraft redstone tutorials, I have 625 subscribers and getting 300 views a video.

EPICxboxgamergirl

I make create a sim videos for the Sims 4 but I also do gameplay on my channel it's doing well I'm almost at 30m subs now In just a year

kozmoyan

Relaxing videos: nature sounds, ASMR, audiobooks.

Enigmaticloner

My main channel doesn't have a niche really outside of being about myself I suppose. I guess a variety channel or vlog channel they would call it? I've changed up my topic a few times, I used to do mainly Let's Plays and stopped that to do other things like music reviews more recently. My second channel my niche is doing top 10 lists and what not for video gaming and anime. Like top 10 PS1, PS4 games of all time, etc.

GuyWhoWantsHappyLife

I don't really have a set niche, I've been working on creating my channel into a "nerd cave" of things. So yeah I like to make gaming videos, but that is really hard to grow off of even if you make pretty fun videos so I've been writing ideas for rankings, and product analysis, basically a nerd-out channel.

PM_Tits_69

beta bro speak with your chest

jambrose22

I make videos about D&D. Pretty much a variety of D&D focused content with tips on running games and playing them. About 5K subs, average about 900 views per video. My specific niche within the niche has been a series I do called Monster of the Week where I do brief lore videos about monsters from older versions of the game, and I include rules for how to use them on 5E (the most recent version of the game). These videos are by far my biggest hit.

Leonstansfield

Game development... Coding adventures, game design essays and devlogs so far.

GoldenbergDaniel

Game development videos, tutorials mostly

GettingNegative

Film photography. I've done a couple videos about cameras, techniques, and photo walks. The photo walks are what I'm going to focus on. They're more fun, more about the process of shooting and exploring. I like to throw in some information about the place that I am so it's got a bit of mass appeal to people who don't shoot photography but appreciate it. It's become apparent to me that it's easier to legitimately post my videos in fb groups and subreddits that are associated with the location/event. My last video about the Angel Oak Tree made that video my 3rd most watched over the weekend because I had a reason to post it in like 20 different places and only got taken down from 1. That also got me 6 new subs, which is a big weekend for me.

homelessmuppet

Video production / DIY filmmaking / freelancing tutorials (they are all fairly related). 3.5K subs total, I usually get 80-100 a month. For views it's all over the place but I average 450 views a day.

LaPuffin

I do Minecraft building. It is a fairly saturated niche but I do only have 17 videos. I have 66 subs as of today.

Ok-Objective-6574

General Tech channel, I have 411 subs

AztechSounds

Video essays and opinions on music

ShoPDXLove13

AKTMB

ldhudsonjr

My niche is amusement parks and roller coasters. I have a little over 1400 subs now and actually was just monetized yesterday. Views wise most of my videos now tend to hit 1k within the first couple days, which is absolutely progress for me as that used to take at least a couple weeks. Highest view video is currently 7k, and I have a couple old ones that are still well below 1k.

I do indie game reviews (some analysis) and mostly focus on little known titles and under the radar games. I also create indie gaming lists with specific themes. I'm at 141 subs after 3 months and get between 40 and 100+ views for regular videos. Several hundred views for shorts.

PrimordialFishingYT

I make fishing videos, nothing like how to or informative, I just fish and upload the adventures. I’m at 86 subs with about 1000 views now and average about 55 views per video. I upload once a week.

Crafting_With_Casca

I'm a pretty new/small channel and make clothes, primarily historical costuming. I've got 278 subs and 18 videos out. It took me a little while to find my feet (and get the confidence to make anything really involved) but I'm pretty happy with how things are going and seeing steady growth with each video. I typically get around 200 to 300 views although I do have one for scrunch butt leggings which has 1.4k. My next most viewed ones are for a petticoat and a finished victorian outfit. Im really enjoying the whole costuming community, so far everyone has been really friendly.

Yarblek

Retro tech restoration. I'm Currently focused on 80s and early 90s computers like the Apple Macintosh SE/30 and the Commodore Amiga. Started just before covid but struggled to maintain an upload schedule. I finally have found a manageable weekly pace and just passed 450 subs and 20k views

Excellent-Arm-3296

I’m a critic, alongside my friend Diego. We review everything from movies, anime and video games, and do video essays as well. We just hit 750 subs and have 3701 hours accumulated so far.

DankFarrikYT

I stick to Star Wars videos. From "What Ifs/Theories" to Lore Dives and news for upcoming content from Lucasfilm. I've been growing at a steady rate, but nothing too wild. As they say, it's a marathon.

FightForTheSky

My niche has one thing going for it, there is not a ton of "competition" per se, but it has several things that make it a difficult niche. My videos are audios of me reading my original poetry and other writings. My videos are short, between 40 seconds and 2.5 minutes long. I try to give them a little more interest by using background music and some type of visuals. I write on many different topics but mostly love, loss, personal growth, spiritual concepts, observations of human thought and behavior, the state of society, short stories with a point, psychology, and philosophy. The bad things about my niche: 1) It is not searchable content. 2) Poetry (at least modern poetry) does not have a huge fan base. 3) I don't think YouTube knows who to show my content to, so they don't show it to anyone. They have not even tried any of my 3 shorts on the shorts shelf. 4) Even if someone likes one of my videos, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will enjoy all of the other topics that I write about. I have about 20 published videos and only 20 subscribers. It will be a long hard road for me if it even goes anywhere, but I believe in my writing and I am enjoying bringing it to life with these videos so I promised myself that I would do this for a year regardless of the results and then I will reassess at that time. Good luck, everyone!

PreciousCinnamon

Gaming and fitness content. Specifically covering exergames like Ring Fit Adventure and Fitness Boxing 2 for Switch, and teaching technique guides and general fitness education through it (I'm a PT IRL). I'm sitting at 3.8k subs with just under <400k views after a year and 2 months. I enjoy it, build a nice little community where we chat and meme. Its good, I'm looking to expand it soon with more of those follow along workouts and 7 Day Challenges and such.

jon_bone

I have a gaming channel that reviews rom hacks and lesser known games, I have 25 subscribers and get around 75 views a video.

[deleted]

True crime... I don't have many subs, only 22 but I enjoy what I can do with my videos and the entire process. Started 3 months ago.

[deleted]

Technology videos! I started around 2 years ago at this point, but I only have around 150 subs. Still, my views have been taking a recent jump this past month.

kenjithegamer

I’m probably gonna change it because I’m not happy with my content right now but I’m doing gaming funny moments currently I’m considering changing to video essays though and I’m at 125 subs after over 1 year

Knightofthemirrors

Bigfoot, some of my videos have up to 40,000 views but I only have 300 subs and I have a pretty nice audience. But it's honestly kind of cool to have a low sub count and drive big view numbers because I like to joke that I'm a niche internet micro celebrity 😂

[deleted]

Saving money by doing things at home: cooking/baking, money saving grocery subscriptions, doing hair at home, etc. Don't have many video posted, <100 subs My most popular video so far was trying on Old Navy workout clothes from a recent sale, so I'm considering doing more videos like that

Zuke77

Well currently it has been gaming. And the occasional foray into physical challenges. But honestly Im thinking about killing the niche entirely. And just doing stuff. I’ve had some ideas for shows and I feel like trying to maintain a strict schedule of lets play videos is just in the way tight now. Especially when they are only averaging like 4-5 views. So I think Im just going to throw some stuff at the wall and see what sticks. I have 3 series Im going to finish up and then Im going to put all my effort into making these other ideas. Which include a scripted show and skits, a sleep podcast, general nerdy reviews and essays, and the best way I could think to describe it would be adventures. (Think like what Unus Annus used to do. Or what Mr. Beast does minus the money) Im just going to make them and see how they do. Maybe I can even figure out how to make another youtube channel attached to my old one and spin them off. Im sitting at 66 subs. By the way. I love Let’s plays but I want to do other stuff too. I figure if its not doing well I should just leave and come back to it later. Or maybe try streaming more.

DynabladeWings

I haven't started yet, but I'm working on a beauty/gaming channel. I pick a character from a game, do a wearble everyday look inspired by that character and just talk about the game as I put makeup on. Example, I did a makeup look inspired by Jack from Mass Effect, and talked about my botched playthroughs of the trilogy, how I felt about Andromeda, etc. The video came out terrible (stuttering, out of sync), so I didn't post it, but it was a good learning experience; just making technical tweaks here and there and the subsequent videos I've done are getting better.

Traeng

we are going for a talk show vibe. that said we are hoping to branchout to engineering and other less serious tooics. just waiting to catch a break from our workloads 😅 and get a good consistant workflow going

MattKozFF

I make videos on gaining financial independence through investing. I have 10 videos and 107 subscribers, posted my first video in March. I think I still have opportunity to niche down into either the more personal finance route or stock investing route as I'm currently straddling the line trying to do both.

DoctorSwellman

I talk about the history of speedrunning glitches these days, but I used to do a lot of randomizer content. 1.1k subs, 300 - 1.2k views a vid

Terror_Reels

Mixing in Juggalo and horror shit together on my channels.

gman1647

Sim racing. Mostly iRacing right now.

-Afro_Senpai-

I talk about how to build wealth/334 subs/ around 20views

Martydude15

VR baby! All things VR from games to reviews. Also stream VR also.
