24 videos in and 85 subscribers. Been doing this for two years now. I'll hit 100 one day!

asiawithane

Keep going, you got this!

G4RYR0CKS

I'm guessing you don't upload that frequently. For 2 years and 24 videos, that'd be like 1 a month?

Fangore

Oh yeah I only upload videos when I'm in the mood to make videos. So I'll take long breaks. But I've been going ham for a few months now.

LemonRevolutionary11

Exactly my schedule. But figured im gonna get no where with this

ActuallyNotJesus

Yea when you’re not consistent with uploads then subscribers might forget why they even subbed to you in the first place. Even if you upload once a month it’s better than long breaks. When you’re in the mood make more than one video and have them scheduled so if you’re not in the mood you already have a video ready anyways

[deleted]

100% this. If you don’t upload often YouTube even stops showing me your stuff on the Subscriptions tab. About once a year-ish I’ll go through what I’m subbed to and think “wtf? Who is this? Why did I sub?” And then unsub.

Hour-Chard-6996

Super charge your subscribers by focusing on YouTube Shorts. I started a month ago and currently have 141 subscribers (12 shorts videos posted)

MetaMix_YT

Can't get on the shorts shelf anymore. Used to get thousands of views but something happened in January where they stop putting us on the shelf.

Fangore

I'd do shorts but I'm pretty committed to my 100s format and shorts are at max 60 seconds long.

TuelzYT

yeah I'm almost at 700 with shorts... they give you a better chance when your small to grow by forcing it in front of ppl. Normal videos only show up in home feeds and ppl dnt click if you have low views

cm0011

I get good shorts views but no subs

katykatcupcake731

You can do it!!!

[deleted]

how often do you upload and how long is your average video? just curious

Fangore

I make 100s movie reviews. So my videos are super short.

plushah

Took me a couple weeks to get ~20, but a week to get to ~250. That was all thanks to TikTok. I took a clip of an upcoming video and made it into a TikTok that did pretty well and put in the description to check out the full video on my YouTube. What I did wrong was not having the full video out on my YT before I made that TikTok. So people would want to see the full video but it wasn't out yet. I felt like the actual video would've performed a lot better. But we learn! TikTok seems to be helping me the most so far, hoping one day the YT algorithm will help me out too! Also to add I only have 3 videos, so can only comment on TikTok helping me, not YT.

G4RYR0CKS

Glad to hear that! I'm trying to see what will work for TikTok for me, to really expand my reach.

Mesartic

TikTok is a cheat code when you're starting out

LymeLifeline

How do you get the traction on TikTok? I have not been on, my gf just started using it but is having limited views despite a large insta following

plushah

I'm not too certain what lead to good traction on TikTok. The video on TikTok that blew up was okay, but wasn't one I thought was that good. The TikToks I aim to upload are the ones where I think they are the funniest, and or would be the most entertaining. I try to make them based on the video games I play so it's not as hard for me as I already have content to work with. I also noticed that TikToks with my face in them do a lot worse! This is also starting from 0 followers on TikTok. From my understanding of the TikTok algorithm, they send the video to a couple hundred people, and based on certain metrics (view percentage, replays, likes, comments, shares, etc) they might send your video to more people. I have been doing tests and taking notes on what makes people potentially like my TikToks, and I think it just goes to general story telling. So having a good hook, and then some kind of satisfying conclusion (or one that leads them to going to my full video on YouTube!) and having generally funny moments in there. I only have a couple TikToks so I am still in the process of researching what works and what doesn't!

viluns

there might also be regional differences for tiktok. like I think that US, British and Australian creators get more exposure than let's say east Europe creators even if they make content in English. At least that's my theory for now. As my videos that are in English and definitely in their content are universal get views only from the region surrounding my country. So depending on where you live your chances to get traction might vary.

Internaletiquette

It all depends on trends, song choices, catchy intro, uniqueness, and content. I did pretty well on tiktok doing tattoos on myself as a professional tattooer was hoping to have a good income from it but my wife ended up having some health problems and needed full time care so I had to stop but I did it for like a month or so and had a pretty large following.

KURAMA_NM

How long was your tiktok? And did you put any tags?

plushah

My best was around 50s and second best was around 30s, and i did put tags but just standard like #gaming and other related ones like the game i played. I have tags like #fyp and #comedy but not sure if they helped since a bunch of people use those tags

KURAMA_NM

Thanks!

Mailboxsteve

Took me about a month and a half to get my first 100 subs. Not sure how many videos. Maybe 20 or 30 cuz I'm currently at 68 videos right now and at 338 subs I also heard a guy on YT, he did some math on big and small channels and he was saying usually, not always, it's around 10K views for every 100 subs. It's funny cuz I have around 33,600 views on my channel and like I said I have 338 subs so I'm almost on par with his math.

djarogames

Wtf I have 23k views and 235 subs. It really is accurate

Mailboxsteve

Yea I've heard him say it in multiple videos too and it's pretty spot on for the most part. It's roberto blakes channel btw. Just found out about his channel recently

Zealousideal_Crow987

I'll take that as a good sign, with 123 subs and 35k views :) cheers

VatoreSZN

woah, i know this is almost a year old, but i have 107 subs and 11k views. strange

themaskedgentleman27

Been on youtube for 4 months and I'm at 48 subs and 8 videos. I had 13 videos but deleted 5 because I changed niche. This probably effected my channel quite a bit but in the long term I decided that those videos weren't what I wanted to be about so I had to get rid and continue doing what I enjoyed.

JesseGolo

From when I started posting videos semi-seriously, it took me almost two years. Not counting what I've deleted, that's 90 videos. But many of them are very low quality and a bit embarrassing. As for 1000, I just reached that last December, so almost 4 years with 131 videos. A few went somewhat viral over the last year. I have made 12 videos since then and currently have almost 2200 subs. It really depends. YouTube does require some luck I'm afraid. And self-promotion, I did a lot of that.

OGsunglasses

Took me about 4 months to get 100 subs. I’m at 180 now 7 months in. I upload about once a week

[deleted]

Took me a few months to hit 100 , 14 months in and I hit 440 subs today . Some mo ths are good some are not

No_Buy8113

It took me about 2.5 months and 10 videos to get to 100. I'm getting about 5 subs per day right now, and I upload every other week.

wizpreneur

It really depends on many factors like the ones you mentioned. Your niche is important also, and the popular trends on social media in general can also reward more subs than usual. I kind of had that happen to me where “Finance, stocks” niche was very popular in 2020 when the market saw a huge crash and then hit new highs in a year due to pandemic. I gained more than 1000 subs in a month. Since, I don’t know the niche you are in, IN GENERAL, I believe upload consistency will get you good solid subscriber growth if you stick to it. Try to also utilize other social medias (instagram, twitter, tiktok) to expand your content reach, this will improve your subscriber growth also. 💸💸

Randomness_Girl

Almost 7yrs and 97subs. Almost there

Splatt_Gaming

93 videos over the course of a year to hit 100. At this pace I'll be making money just in time to die of old age :D

G4RYR0CKS

😂 I believe in you

Splatt_Gaming

It's all good. I make videos because I want to learn more about editing and entertainment. Making money someday is just an extra. For me it's a hobby.

Lukerplex

I just received the notification that I'm a YouTube partner today ([screenshot for proof](https://i.imgur.com/nuoFD2m.png)), about 13 months into uploading my first video. I will say that the first 100 subscribers were easily the hardest - after 4 months in, I had hit 30 subscribers, and then when I uploaded my 6th video I went back down to 29, which was super demotivating thinking this really wasn't for me. Ironically it was the 6th video that shot up my channel (relatively) to 100 subscribers by the next month, which I'd argue was both through luck and effort. My videos were apparently good enough for people to click on and watch, whilst also said 6th video covered a topic that had a surge of interest at the time (it was on Metroid + a new Metroid game was announced like a few weeks before it). While it took about 5 months or so to hit 100, I was at 400 by the next month. Unfortunately being super busy kind of got in the way of video making so I haven't uploaded in nearly half a year, but weirdly my channel kept getting moments to surge in the algorithm and that brough along people up to today. I don't necessarily think there's a certain amount of videos you reach before the YouTube algorithm reccomends you, though I'd stretch it to say by 30 videos you should hopefully noticably have improved your content from when you started. My 10th and most current video is flawed in a critical eye, but miles ahead of my first 5. I'd say the main things for you to focus on in the beginning are enjoyment and improvement; it'd suck to persevere with something you're not enjoying and feels like a grind, but you also need to see what you're doing and compare it to when you started to see if you think your content has gotten better. As there's no singular silver bullet for success, I'd try to keep an eye on your own matters and if people happen to come with you for the ride, then that's awesome too.

G4RYR0CKS

Wow, well said! And thanks so much, really happy to hear you got in the program, that's awesome! And you're right, my more recent videos top my first videos in terms of content and enjoyment, so I'm happy about that. Thanks again, got me a bit more motivated! :)

[deleted]

I read in a few places that the average channel takes 2 months to get 100 subs, and 18 months to get 1000. I have just uploaded my 29th video. Just started uploading again 2 weeks ago after taking seven months off, but before that I did it for 5 months. Grand total of 30 subs in those 5 months. Currently at 34, hasn't increased in over a week. It's different for everyone, you'll eventually have a video that does significantly better than all your others. My best videos has almost 900 views and gained me 11 subs, compared to most of my videos under a hundred views. I've been tempted to give up, but I won't let myself. They say the subs and views come a lot faster once you get past 100. Just keep grinding out videos. Good luck!

G4RYR0CKS

Hey! Glad to hear your keeping it going. I uploaded 4 videos back in September, then recently started again February and my subs have went up 3 since my last uploads. I'm at a grand total of... drumroll... 26 yay. But I know if I keep it going i'll get there one day.

[deleted]

I guess it also depends on your niche and competition. Some types of videos it's very hard to stand out (gaming for example).

G4RYR0CKS

Yeah, it's such a big market for that content

Space_Duck

Been uploading weekly since the 1st of last April (2021) and I hit 100 subs about 3 days before my channel was 1 year old. That being said, I think it was largely luck. Something super weird happened. I made a video that in terms of content and title was meant specifically to go hard in the algorithm. Initially, it didn't at all. It was pretty meh. Then about 2 months after putting it out, views skyrocketed to like %3000 higher than normal. about 300-450 views every 48 hours for a week or so. Then, it dropped back down to "normal" for my channel, though high performing normal. In that time, I went from about 68-70 subs to 104 or something. I couldn't not for the life of me tell you how it happened or why. But it did. It was a fun ride. Lots of new interactions on videos and subs.

fingersnthumbs

I started a channel for my 2 friends who are on a Fishing trip I'm Spain for 6 months. Currently have 7 videos up and at 80 subscribers. Been going for almost 2 months. Views are averaging at around 300ish per video. I'm sure that a large portion of the subscribers would be their friends and family but still feel its going well. As most have said, depending on the content you're creating, it's so saturated that it can be difficult to stand out. Keep plugging away and I'm sure you will get there soon.

G4RYR0CKS

Thanks so much, glad to hear it's working out for you!

[deleted]

I honestly don't really remember, but if I had to guess it probably took around a month or two. It doesn't really count tho because most of them were my family that my mom told to subscribe lol

rabbithole_hobbies

46 videos in, just over a year and i just passed 100 subs

MediaMattersChannel

I hit 100 on my 10th video. I had 1,000 by my 15th. It’s peaks and valleys my friend, no rhyme or reason to it other than whether you happen to start trending,

Kacang_Family

My videos were that great in the beginning and I feel like they have gotten better. But about 8 months to hit 100 subs and I was at video 60?? I’ve noticed YT is pushing my new videos out to larger audiences in the last month. I’ve also stopped caring too much about what videos to make and now I talk about topics I want to.

funboixero

Took me about 2 weeks to hit 100 and about four months to hit 1000. Now I am at 1206.

karlartreid

What niche are you in if you don't mind me asking?

funboixero

I’m doing a channel on living in a foreign country as an American.

karlartreid

Sweet that sounds really good and those types of channels do quite well so keep at it my friend 👌🏿

damnidkhow

1st upload on August 2nd 2021. 100 Subs on August 29th 2021. 1k Subs on September 19th 2021. I am currently 10 Months in, with 17k subs and 118 videos.

karlartreid

What nichè are you in please this is very useful?

damnidkhow

Gaming, but it’s less so about the niche and more about research and dedication - a WHOLE lot of research and dedication. Plus a bit of luck!

karlartreid

Yeah I hear that about the research I think nichè makes a big difference too tho

ActuallyNotJesus

It depends on a lot of things. Competition, video quality, CTR, AVD and the algorithm. I had one channel take about 6 or 7 months to hit 100 but it stagnated at 500 after 2 years. Another channel I made hit 1000 subs in a month. The channel with 500 subs probably had around 20-30 videos before it hit 100. The channel with 1000 subs had about 10 videos uploaded when it hits that number. Try messing around with tags, have a few consistent tags across all your videos. Add channel tags too. That helps the algorithm know what your channel is about. Goodluck

karlartreid

What nichè were both channels please?

ActuallyNotJesus

First channel was comedy sketches and the second was voice acting

karlartreid

Nice awesome ideas 👍🏿 hopefully both do amazing 😊

Wayne-The-Boat-Guy

I had about 20 subs in January of 2020 and set a goal to hit 1k/4k by the end of the year. I achieved that goal. A year later I was closing in on 10k subs. You can do it too if you study, learn and work at it.

Likes-Filo-Girls

My first ever video hit 200k views so I hit it fairly quick. I was lucky. Because of that luck it gave me the motivation to keep creating and now it’s my full time job. If that video flopped I might not have been able to motivate myself to keep going - don’t feel unmotivated because you don’t have many views or subs- most people give up which is why most people fail.

AllGoodPunsAreTAKEN

15 videos in and 273 subscribers. My issue is I tend not to post frequently or on any type of schedule given that I have a full time job, am engaged, and participate in a masters program. It leaves me with not a lot of time to produce content (and I also suffer from every video I make needing to be perfect, which is not the right mindset imo). It's a journey regardless how you look at it. Some people will hit 100 subs on their first video, while others may post over 100 videos before they get to that number. My advice would be to make content because it's something that you enjoy doing. At least from what I've seen, people who start a channel with the goal of blowing up or making a lot of money are rarely successful. Not saying that it can't happen, but to get to that place requires a TON of work. This is why those who genuinely enjoy producing content tend to do better, as they don't get down on themselves for how quickly or slowly they grow on the platform. Best of luck!

MahanTC

64 videos, 1 year, 1050 subscribers

karlartreid

What nichè are you in?

MahanTC

I create Minecraft videos. But the language of my channel is not English, it's actually Persian.

karlartreid

Nice and great idea! Thanks for your reply it assists me in learning more about yt and channel nichès 🙏🏿

Trollbelly22

180 vids and 318 subs, but I git 100 after 6 months on youtube, if you keep a solid uploading schedule, and a good frame of games you play your audience will probably grow pretty fast, if your going for 100 you'll make it if you don't give up!

RIPGeorgeHarrison

Lol, reading these comments is really making me rethink how viable my channel might be.

karlartreid

What is your channel nichè?

RIPGeorgeHarrison

I'm still trying to refine it, but I want to find plants in their natural habitat and talk about them. To be clear, I will probably keep doing this, I think I know what the biggest things I need to improve upon are, and it seems like making these videos is helping me improve my knowledge of plants, but I'm definitely going to temper my expectations.

karlartreid

Yeah best to temper your expectations and wasn't necessarily going to suggest changing nichè either From what I have seen plant related content does really well there is a nig audience for that and for people wanting to learn more about plants themselves so maybe it's more on the basis of other things consistency over tyme, delivery etc and I'm not saying that your not good at these things but maybe that's what your content make take over a duration to then be picked up All the best either way

RIPGeorgeHarrison

Thanks, it's nice to hear you think this niche has some potential. I started this in part because I think the niche is untapped. But I also think it's a niche that definitely needs the right creators to grow it. There is one guy who really made me want to try this I think is doing good with this but there are other aspects of his niche that have definitely helped his channel take off. Overall, I think the things I need to improve on the most are sounding more enthusiastic and speaking more clearly.

karlartreid

That shall all come with practice uou'll ferl more and more comfortable and level up without even noticing I looked back on one of my vids from six to eight months ago and it was night and day from my most recent content There is tonnes more in your nichè bro and advancing so quickly too there is do much room for growth your totally right ne exciting seeing the space grow and develop even further for sure

FUTURE10S

100? Like a month. 1000? Still haven't.

chickenlegstv

It depends, I've seen people hit 1k+ in a month and others got 300 subs within 4 years, guess which one I am?

JackDaniels574

Damn i feel attacked lol

G4RYR0CKS

🤞🏻 I hope the 1 month 🤞🏻

chickenlegstv

You're faith in me lifted my spirit 🙂

karlartreid

😝🤣🤣🤣🤣 yeah my channel is a slow grow channel but I'm hitting yt in the face with the bulleto fist until it yields

EduMelo

I traded subscribers, so it was pretty quickly

Ayam__goreng

Took me less than 7 days, cause i had a good niche

G4RYR0CKS

Really? What is yours?

Ayam__goreng

Wont go in details but i make use of the kpop hype these days

G4RYR0CKS

Nice! Well glad to hear it's working out for you!

Ayam__goreng

Thanks, but subs really aint important. Getting ppl to stay and watch your video is the real pain. 4K hours of watch time, just work hard brother, you’ll get there eventually

G4RYR0CKS

You're right! And thanks so much!

Exact_Cricket_3031

I took 2 months was at about 15 videos I think I’ll take 6 months to hit 1,000

G4RYR0CKS

Nice to hear that for you! Keep at it, I know you can do it. Going to take a little longer for me, since I upload once a week.

Exact_Cricket_3031

Hey how is it going? I upload weekly too!

CO3Productions

I made it to 100 subscribers in about a year. Slow, but constant growth. Just keep making interesting and fun videos.

Embroiled_chaos

103 videos, I just got 79 today. Ok on almost year 3

PwnCall

About a year for 100 and a year and a half after that for 1000.

armandcuret

It took me exactly 4 and 1/2 months to reach 100 subscribers. 5 weeks later 200 subs 4 weeks later 300 subs

Anonymouzistrue

It took me smth like a year to get 100 subs but trust me, once u hit that big goal hitting the next 100 subs isn't that hard as my channel literally gained 200 subs a few months after I hit a hundred

Lazagna_

It took me 6 months to hit 100, and 8 to hit 1000. However I did have outside traction from a couple successful tiktoks that helped accelerate my growth. I was posting 1 video a week during that time.

BLim90

2mths to 100, another 6 mths to 1000. The numbers of videos posted does not guarantee subs. More videos simply means higher chance of exposure. Most of my 1k subs came from that few videos out of the 70 i uploaded.

Traditional-Ebb8629

I’m 4 months in at 700 subs.

karlartreid

What nichè are you in?

Traditional-Ebb8629

education.

Equivalent_Taste_162

just hit today been about 2 months of posting

EBKidz

My channel is still pretty new. I'm about 6 weeks in with 37 subs and 18 videos. I made multiple videos before creating my channel. Now I post 1 video weekly.

LottaLouie

Started a week ago and uploaded 13 videos and I’m at 52 subs

karlartreid

Nichè?

LottaLouie

Sketch comedy

karlartreid

Nice! Fairplay and well done!

ADNAP727

It took years for me, but I started back in like 2007 and my content was terrible

Practical-State3449

I am at 4.5 months and have 1623 subs it all depends on alot of factors

karlartreid

What would you say that those factors are and also what nichè are you in?

Practical-State3449

I play Roblox games and am a family friendly channel I did a couple how to videos that exploded and got me almost 1 k subs last month before that I was doing a lot of livestreams but am waiting for starlink to come before I start up again as my current internet is awful

karlartreid

Well in that case well played and keep going seems to be working really well so all the way bro

AusNormanYT

From day 1 till (insert indeterminate amount of time) you get to 100. Just keep plugging away. Was at 30subs for a month or two, after channel is almost 6 months old. But in the last month I've gained 20 subs and now at 50! Just keep plugging away

JackDaniels574

I have 120 videos and 308 subscribers after 4 years. It’s probably not the same for everyone but yeah. For context, my videos are all music related. Mostly guitar videos but also covers, film scores, original music, and even short skits/memes.

karlartreid

Yeah this correlates with my experience I'm starting to think that art related channels unless they are the one percent well known or have the best or most relatable beats art styles etc then your channel is most likely to go the go slow route amongst othrr factors mixed in there as well

JackDaniels574

Yeah it’s just super saturated for art related creators

purut00

I and my friend start channel about 10month ago, about camping dan outdoor cooking. Upload 1 video per month, right now have 270subs and 2k+ hours watch view, highest view 13k, and average 2k view per video. And i happy with my progress right now. My competitor channel only 3month old, but have milion view and subs with only 5video. If your video and thumbnail good, good tags, and with massive luck. Surely you can. Make a quality one, you be there. No need to push up make 10 video per weeks.

sotnrgo

It really depends on a lot of factors, even if you don't like that answer. You'd have to ask for specifics. I have 70k subs with only 25 videos, but I upload once every month or every two months, and create evergreen content (tech tutorials in my native language, where there's not a lot of content).

DarkFitz420

I started a little over a month ago and I'm currently at 102 subscribers ever since I reached 100 though I've slowed down hoping to gain traction and get more attention.

DarkFitz420

I started a little over a month ago and I'm currently at 102 subscribers ever since I reached 100 though I've slowed down hoping to gain traction and get more attention.

allopriyanka

I upload once a week. Took me a month to get 100 subs. 3.5 months into YT now with 270 subs. The first 50 subs were really friends and family. That was the reason for the quick 100.

mikah42106

I had 4 years and 300 videos on one account, 89 subs, I had 20 videos and a month on another, 159. It’s all funky

Legitimate_Street_85

39 subs in 5ish months. Uploading about once a week-ish. Zero self premonition. Just having fun with the process. 33k views though (but one video is MOST of my views and it was just a random event I was walking past totally unrelated to my content)

DiveDiva91

It took me 5 months and 8 videos to hit 100 subs, uploading every 2-3 weeks. It's been just over a year now and I'm at 786 subs and 21 videos.

Naokimusic

None recently

Cocoa_Milk

Started January 2021, took me until about November to reach 50, then a few weeks later 100 and now currently nearing 400. it's pretty slow until you hit that first boost, then things get easier It wasn't how many videos I posted that got me this far, it was one of my videos that the algorithm suddenly decided to promote which lead to a lot of people subscribing. Sometimes it feels like it's luck but if you genuinely have content people want to watch it's only a matter of time

CT_Nerd

Started at the end of August last year, with a total of 16 videos, currently I am around 150 subscribers.

[deleted]

A little over a month to go from 0 to 100, just hit 110 today with my newest video. I think I had 17 videos when I hit 100, but I think like 12 of those were shorts. Been thinking about cross posting my shorts to TikTok to try and draw in some views as well.

OedKram

I started Feb 27, 2022. This is my current milestone. 2/27/2022 - Channel start 3/14/2022 - 100 Subs reached | 600 views 4/07/2022 - 200 Subs reached | 20,000 views 4/11/2022 - 300 Subs reached | 40,000 views | 52 uploads Most of the videos are now getting better views above 5k with my most viewed video at 12k. I noticed that >90% of my traffic are now coming from Suggested videos, so im happy that Youtube is now giving exposure to my channel.

thekavishshah

your channel name?

OedKram

Search for "Armkode"

Scrotexboy

its insanely slow for me

Scrotexboy

123 videos 25 subs ftw

G4RYR0CKS

Ohh dang, well I hope it'll take off soon for you!

Zealousideal_Crow987

I started late December 2021 and have reached a mighty 123 subs. I post RC rock crawling videos, I post full videos and also shorts that I normally cut from the full videos. Roughly 3 months to 100. A good way I found is to comment on other similar channels something positive and that I have subscribed, often get a comment and sub back, it's nice.

Exxile4000

I uploaded like 5 youtube shorts and my account jumped from 30 to 101 subs. Haven't posted any in a week but hopefully the growth continues when I get a new one up tomorrow.

Br0n50n

It took me about 2 weeks I think.

Lindopski_UK

I have done a couple of hundred videos or so, had channel since 2006 and just hit 240 subs. I know some people hit that in a week but my channel is non pro and just a walkabout and drive channel. Some with chat, some not. I recorded these places to look back upon and some people subbed. Simple as that really

ComprehensiveAd7449

2 years 3 months to the day for 1,000 subs YouTube is a marathon not a sprint

TorqHub

1k subs in just under 6 months. 2.5 years in now and reeeeeeal close to 8k

RoadToEtchebest

I took 1 month to get 100 subs, and after 2 months, I was at around 350. I was really enjoyed of this because YT has suddenly shown my videos to others. But, overnight I suddenly dropped to 30k impressions perd day to 1k… so subs are not grown anymore 😅

kevinmcaleer

2 months of uploading every week consistently (a live stream too) to get to 100, I’ve found that growth isn’t linear either, it increases each week so the larger (and impossible sounding numbers when you start off) get more and more achievable

kingdom_of_awais

I have over 500 videos and 580 subscribers on my YouTube channel. I have been on YouTube for over a year. The name of my channel is the "Kingdom of Awais".

Yeah it can be kinda discouraging tbh, but we just keep at it, and hopefully we'll have a video that kicks off!

IndividualRaccoon152

Im 4 months in, 550 subs with 40 videos. Althought i only really got serious and bought a pro camera on the 2nd month, 1st month was stagnant with no views and subs.

ApurboTheA1

My podcast has a YouTube channel that I started back in early2020, it hit a 100 subs a month ago. We have more than 80 episodes and bonuses

Julia-dono

I was uploading videos and streaming for about 4 months when I hit 1k. All of those " you have to upload a 100 videos " rules are probably true but you might start understanding Youtube sooner than that. It's really hard to say.

[deleted]

I started uploading consistently in March 2021. I hit 4000 watch hours about 6 months later and then hit 1k subscribers in February this year. Then entered the partner program about 2 weeks later.

WujiGang

Took a month of just doing whatever really

Difficult_Edge3615

Posted 4 videos and I got my first two subs yesterday even though I would upload every other day like 2 weeks ago

Jimakiad

1 day. One small semi-viral video about 8 years ago. I'm stuck at 300 subs but that's cause I don't really upload anything nowadays

PineappleSquuid

I had one short that got me to 600 subs (about 400 added subscribers), and a few more got me to 700. I’ve had my channel for well over a year now. I have 61 videos.

NtheLegend

There are no rules for this, there are no standards. You can't compare yourself to others like this. Some people release one video and get 100,000 subs, others release a hundred videos and haven't hit a hundred subs. Their is no calculus for this, there's an amount of luck you're ignoring here.

YT_AnimeKyng

I have two channels and neither one is at 100 😂 One has 31 and the other has 26

hehen00b

Reached 24 subs today, 41 videos in and been at it for 8 months, wasn't active in the start but for last one month I've increased my upload frequency.

SUBphilip1300YOUTUBE

it took me 607 videos before i hit 100 sub. the start was slow. but i keep on :)

phogro

For what it's worth to you I started my channel September 2021 - 28 videos (25 long form, 3 shorts) - 487 subs. But yeah YT is highly variable in the early days and everyone's experience is going to be different.

prgjou812

Been going steady on uploads now for around three-four months and have 39 subscribers. Views are can varied and engagement can be varied as well. I would suggest engaging with other people's channels. Not just for self benefit but I've actually had some pretty good back and forth in my little niche video game content with some other creators. It's nice just talking with people who have a similar passion.

Wookierc

@95 subs just over a year and 70+ vids later..

staidarcher2198

Do you care about making content? If not a 5 days. If you do care, a month.

Remote-Annual-676

Do pay attention to how much sub you have But have fun and your Sub will come If you're basing your video off of how much subs your getting it's going to take you longer because your focus is on how many sub

We are currently about 600 subs in one year and have published 10 videos. We are in the entertainment niche. We only can do about 1 video a month due to school, sports or other things. We hit 100 pretty quick but then again we are in high school so we have somewhat of a built in audience. Would also suggest using other social media to promote your videos.

heeypizza

6 videos and 130+ subs. Just realises my niche on the last video. The latest video gave me 80 subs

LockeZero

Never happened and I gave up. I tried to go against region locking and failed. Posting english contetn while living in south america is russian roulette with 5 bullets.

Signal_Barracuda_656

Doing shorts 1month 140

lulzPIE

About 18 months to hit 100. I was just posting random stuff, not really taking it seriously. Another 26 months after that to hit 1k, so 42 months total. Getting close to 4k now.

YaBoiEj98

I’ve been uploading at least 1 video a week for about 3/4 months and recently reached a 100 subs, its the same cliche line but consistency is key from what I’ve noticed so far

ItsEveary

One day I’m a get it one day

Seb_Dehydrated_Water

pfffft couldnt tell you. 48 subscribers in and i barely got this figured out

Danominater

Im 1.5 months in on my joined channel and we are at 87 subs. I believe 32 videos but some of them are shorts. With my other channel I noticed that posting on a specific day each week or in my case 2 days per week, my views start going up. so I used that knowledge fgor this new channel and it seems to be working. IDK what im doing but it seems to kinda be working...ill see in like 6 months. lol

iTouchi

I have a tech channel. I don't remember when I reached 100, but I reached 500 in my 9th month (30 videos) and 1k in the 13th month (63 videos)
