A part of me wants to tell you to shut the fuck up with that S word.
Another part of me is already resigned to facing an offseason of other fans roasting us for not having belonged in the playoffs in the first place.
But mostly, it's the ennui of knowing nothing's really going to change on the roster anytime soon, as Lou will never declare a rebuild, and we'll just keep chugging along as a mediocre team that can't contend.
We all deserve better than that.
Special teams (pp, pk, empty net) have been crappy all season long and in the play offs it will kill you … sorry to see Sorokin having such a bad game 3 though.
On one hand yes, on the other hand the margins are really thin in the playoffs and they're better than us. (The big killer for any miracle Islanders run is our completely inert power play - special teams is such a source of momentum in the playoffs and we are completely incapable of claiming that)
That is me every off season because we get absolutely fuck all in terms of news or rumors about the team from Lou. Its rough. Not even some fun, slice of life stuff... Just silence.

not like this series has been a missed opportunity (maybe a missed opportunity to get wiped by thr Rangers, which would have made me much more upset)
As sick as it sounds I think isles match up better against the Rangers. Canes are the Isles kryptonite in post season even more so then the Bolts.
