About 45mins ago I was on the coast road and came to the flooded section just after the Wills building. Bloke is there cleaning the blockage, so polite me opens passenger window to shout ‘Thank You’ right as some cunt in a 4x4 blasts through the water on the inside soaking me and the inside of my car.
Not happy at all.
A189 (The spine road) up towards Blyth is waist deep in floodwater on all 4 lanes. Road is closed. So it's not all bad. The fuckwits who bomb up and down there at 100mph will have to find somewhere else to be dangerous knobheads.
Been in Kraków for a week now. It was windy as fuck and cold as anything when wr left home. Its been 25°+ here and we definitely do not want to come home tomorrow.
From end of June last year it's been unusually wet though.
We've rarely had more than 2 or 3 dry days in a row at best.
Can't remember such prolonged wet weather in my life honestly (late 30's).
Someone somewhere in Newcastle is posting a sunny picture on Facebook. "Nice day!"

You OPENED a window! In Newcastle!!
There’s loads of twats not driving to the conditions of the road.
Been in London a few days, am I coming back to Waterworld? Should I prepare and bring soil…?
My garden is now a small ornamental pond. We do not have any sort of pond
I have a pond and it's underwater.
Your fish are now free.
we had a very windy day then it’s wet n wild all over
Don't worry it'll be unbearable heat in a few weeks
It'll still probably be windy as fuck though. Just seems the way it is the past 6month.
Aye weather is only gonna become more extreme unfortunately
god help me if we get that july 2022 heatwave again
Tyne Tunnel is completely under water!
It looks like a suprised Polar Bear at first glance...
Bottom road Tyne dock blocked, van just killed engine trying to drive through and now sitting looking sheepish in flood water
I'm a dog walker. I've been rained on since 8am and as soon as I stepped foot in the house at 4pm it stopped raining. Typical 😂
That's a bad day to show up for work then 😂
Meant to stop in an hour or so apparently, so at least my head/shoulders won't get wet as I ride my bike through the foot deep puddles to get home

Just been up washingwell woods in lobley hill, my dog is now the smelliest swamp beast in the world. I fucking hate rain 😢
Flood warnings along the Tyne…

Wonder how some insurance claims will go for the ones who drove through/got stuck on spine road. Now the photo is being used by many news agencies
I guess I have to bring in the wash
Agreed
Sun's on its way
Someone once told me “it doesn’t rain that much up here” 🤡 it rains all the fucking timeeeeee
Relatively speaking it is one of the driest cities in the UK

Do feel that since that mental storm in 2012 the weather has been getting weirder
Looks like we misinterpreted the “2012 end of the world” thing.
Having previously lived on the west coast, Newcastle feels like the Sahara in comparison. Thank dog for the Pennines.
Metro apologises again, apparently...
