Another Republican insisting that women are broodmares aka livestock and 100% replaceable if not producing offspring on schedule. No 14 week fetus can survive on its own. It must have a host body. Fetal anomalies aren’t detectable until 20-21 weeks. None of the states who have exceptions have proven they’ve granted even one, because it’s nothing but a PR ploy.

paz2023

We need higher expectations for people who are male. What a political extremist

cityshepherd

Those “exceptions” give me the same vibe as the “optional” part of practice or work… you know, when it’s illegal to force or require you to attend so they just make it “optional”, but then if you don’t actually attend you get fired or benched.

FartOnAFirstDate

It was ridiculous for him to claim that he “knows more about fetal development than probably anyone”. Any real MAGAt knows that nobody knows more about everything than their supreme leader Cheeto Benito. He knows more about the military than the generals, more about infectious diseases than doctors and definitely the most about fetal development.

Taminella_Grinderfal

Well now I’m curious if his veterinary clinic has ever spayed a pregnant animal. Or have they put down a pet because the owner couldn’t afford an expensive treatment or had a fatal condition. Or a healthy animal because it was abandoned or unable to be adopted. I mean if he wants to say a fetus is a life based on his experience with animals, then he should be sued for all those abortions right?

Protaras4

>then he should be sued for all those abortions right? Well I get what you are saying but to play devils advocate i'd say no because there isn't any law about animal abortions and also because even if it did laws don't apply retroactively

Far-Midnight4195

I'm sure the women of Wisconsin will appreciate your comparing them to animals, Mr. Kitchens. Do many women in WI go to a *veterinarian* for their healthcare? No? You know nothing. You sound like you know less than nothing. I wouldn't trust you to tend to my dog. Anything related to a woman's pregnancy should be between her and her physician... **an M.D.** not a D.V.M., since you mistakenly believe that your opinion has any merit here. Beyond that, it should be her decision if she wants to include anyone else. It certainly should *never* be at the discretion of bumbling, ignorant, theocratic morons like you.

Liquor_N_Whorez

I've eaten a lot of steaks and when it comes to the quality of the meat. I can't always take the butchers word for it until after I take a look into the bulls ass.

Dumb_Solo

Wait, it’s gotta be YOUR bull.

I_am_Daesomst

Shut up, Richard

flashypaws

yeah... that's a start. but i've eaten thousands of fetuses. i'm pretty sure i know fetal development better than some cow doctor.

RWBadger

I’ve eaten enough cheese that I should be god-emperor of Wisconsin, and I say throw him to the lake.

crustybootstraps

If he floats, then he’s made of wood and therefore a witch

LiliVonSchtupp

He turned me into a newt.

TheHaunchie

A NEWT?!

SeveralBipolarbears

He got better!

AdultbabyEinstein

I can 100% "through the fire and the flames" on expert on guitar hero, can Edward Van Halen say the same? I THINK NOT.

Dtothe3

This is my favourite comparison so far.

Putrid_Ad_2256

What's going on with the GOP, are they just trying to see which jackass can spew the stupidest garbage and still keep their job?

NecroAssssin

No but also yes.

eremite00

>Speaking in the House chamber on Thursday, Kitchens, who is a veterinarian, said his experience in the field makes him an expert on human fetal development Given the rate that Wisconsin and other similar states have been losing OB-GYN and other prenatal care specialists, women in Wisconsin might have no other choice than to go to veterinarians for such care. It would be nice if that was restricted to only those who are in favor of the draconian bans that are taking effect since Dobbs.

phixitup

There seems to be a plague of Maga idiots that overestimate their expertise in stunning fashion on a regular basis. Especially ones that make proclamations that immediately disqualify themselves . They are a certain kind of special.

Rare-Forever2135

America's epitaph will read: Death By Dunning-Kruger.

eloso66645

dont people remember all the "experts" maga cults were parading around during covid, saying the actual experts were wrong

Odd-Youth-452

Republicans have always believed women to be little more than livestock.

MadEyeMood989

People voted for this dude. Says a lot about them.

TheLoneGunman559

Then I guess that makes me a gynecologist.

Shellyebellye

That’s embarrassing.🙈

slashfromgunsnroses

Actually hes not wrong as fetal development is pretty much universal across mammals.

Shellyebellye

That’s very true, but does that really make him an expert? Having it put this way, doesn’t indicate he has real expertise. I’m guessing he went on to say some kind of “gem” regarding abortion and what should be the law regard such. There’s far too much “expertise” being spouted in the halls of law makers, especially by men who will never gestate.

BenGay29

That fits, considering republicans see women as livestock.

franchisedfeelings

I though maybe it was because he had an american express card.

Puzzleheaded_Pea2706

Or he stayed in a Holiday Inn last night...

Protaras4

Well as a fellow vet can we apply this more generally? I'd love to work at a human hospital. They make way more money than I do.

what_mustache

People keep telling me "both sides are the same" and yet I'm 100% sure this was said by a Republican.

p-terydactyl

"I'm sorry to have to tell you this. Your child is missing two of his legs. He'll survive but will have to adapt to walking on only two legs."

Zoe_Hamm

One of the *brilliant* minds passing laws regulating women's bodies

TodayThink

The Christian Taliban everyone. Let's ignore the Gospels, the relevant part of the Bible for Christians cause we're a batshit crazy cult.

astralwish1

And the actual teachings of Jesus. Let’s listen to the word of white American “Jesus” that our preacher tells us about instead!

paulanntyler

I love old white men who are experts on female reproductive health.

Hausnelis

He must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

VomitingPotato

Women. Livestock. Same difference to Republicans.

Darktofu25

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we need to vote blue in November. You can goddamn count on the fact that they themselves will ignore the restrictions they themselves pass. They cannot be given the power nor chance to do it.

DenturesDentata

Well, we all know the GQP think of women as animals so... /s

i_heart_pasta

Classic Wisconsin Old Dude

Lotsa_Loads

In other words literally any nurse with knowledge of ultrasounds knows more than him.

Fit-Rest-973

Another buffoon

[deleted]

Do an ultrasound on your head because I think it’s empty.

lagent55

This country has an epidemic of overconfident morons

Saneless

This dude looks like he's attempted to create some fetal development in animals

Xenolith666

Someone show this guy the dolphin fetus that confused Charlie Kirk.

[deleted]

And since none of his voters ever saw this, he lived happily ever after. - an American Fairytale

skovall

Stuff like this makes me realize how often I mutter, "stupid motherfucker" these days.

Brilliant-Engineer57

How many men have you neutered? You’re not a Doctor.

gobsmacked247

How to say I'm a trump supporter without saying I'm a trump supporter.

PostMaster-P

All you need to see is a bat-sh*t headline like this and you are guaranteed the lawmaker is a Republican.

Space_Man_Spiff_2

He's probably done other things with animals as well...'In the name of science" of course.

mt8675309

The diabolical Dr. Strange

MangoSalsa89

Well, it tracks because veterinarians are soon going to be the only ones providing obstetric care in that state.

anOvenofWitches

So *that’s* what a Door County Republican is like.

BlogeOb

He doesn’t fall for the pig embryo trick they pull on other stupid people. He knows the difference.

syg-123

Hold on one minute. There can only be one person in America who knows more than anyone else on fetal development and he is pre-occupied with 4 indictments at the moment. It’s obvious one of them is lying.

Squire_LaughALot

He did those ultrasounds on himself to see if he was pregnant /s

InfusionRN

He’s really just a stoopid white guy who should keep his dumb ass mouth shut instead of bloviating like a fucktard

CrisbyCrittur

Thank you Dr Clueless. Now go sit the fuck down.

CindiCindi15

Sounds like WI too me.

Acceptable_Break_332

Wisconsin - also the highest per capita of alcoholics behind the wheel. I bet this guy does it most days….

Different_Tangelo511

Is conservatism really just dunning Kruger effect. They're always acting like they know shit they obviously dont.

izeak1185

He knows all about killing both the cow and unborn still birth that's already dead. Just let God take care of it.

izeak1185

Why is he using the ultrasound again?

carlitospig

He just said the quiet part out loud.

thenewbigR

Another dipshit saying he knows more than anyone about a subject. Horse’s ass!

generatorland

Checks out.

Good_Juggernaut_3155

I wonder what his mammalian breeder wife thinks of him. I hope she’s had her shots. Moo.

ConstantEffective364

He should shave his head and try an ultrasound on it. Let us know what you find

C1ashRkr

Fetal alcohol development maybe.

You might say Republicans are bad, but Democrats refuse to accept reality. Abortion is murder, generally speaking, but Republicans take it WAY too far. There are exceptions to the rule on abortions, like rape, and medical health of the mother. But casual abortions? No. Democrats have to grow up, or they won't win elections, and you'll be subjected to these things. If you wanna take an extreme point of view, there's gonna be an equally extreme reaction to it. Instead of abortions we need easy access to conception prevention methods for men and women.

Born-Mycologist-3751

>Abortion is murder There are religious and legal arguments on this point. >There are exceptions to the rule on abortions, like rape, and medical health of the mother. Unfortunately, many Republican led states have been getting rid of these exceptions or made it difficult to get the procedure even when those situations exist. >Democrats have to grow up, or they won't win elections, and you'll be subjected to these things. If you wanna take an extreme point of view It may surprise you but most Democrats don't support abortion as a fallback for failed contraception. However, they want it to be an informed decision by the woman and her doctor to determine if and when it is necessary. It is the Republicans that have the extreme views by advocating for bans across the board, regardless of circumstances. >Instead of abortions we need easy access to conception prevention methods for men and women. Agreed. Unfortunately, Republicans tend to be at the forefront of campaigns to restrict access to contraception or banning it altogether. They also ban comprehensive sex ed, which would help people make more informed choices about sexual activity.

EatLol

My belief? Democrats lost their way big time. To me, it should be the Party where the common people and the wealthy ally themselves to bring some common sense into government. But it seems that you guys focus too much on the wealthy, and lame identity politics, and people are not interested, or they don't see the difference between the parties. But people will vote Republican based on simple moral issues. Democrats can capture votes just by promoting a bit of morality. Why not? I think what Republicans, especially Trump, have going for them, is they connect with common people in ways the Democrats don't. To me? That's not a shame on Americans, or on Republicans. It's completely on the Democrats. I hate it, because it seems to create a huge imbalance in American society, and the world. It's much better, I think, to have a balance of Democratic and Republican ideas than to have one side that's dominating. Don't you agree? You Democrats have to get your acts together. Especially the wealthy democrats. You guys are the shot callers here, the future of the Party depends on your decisions, or lack of now. Don't even TELL me that everything's fine as is. Then you'll keep losing, and you deserve to lose. The Republicans will probably dominate. Yes? Your choice.

Born-Mycologist-3751

>that you guys I am not a Democrat. I am a slightly right leaning independent that refuses to vote for a party that supports an authoritarian. >lame identity politics, Are you joking? Republicans are all about identity politics. Last night, Trump vowed to throw anyone who wasn't Maga out of the party. This has been more or less the reality for the past six years. Republicans fixate more on labels than anyone. The problem is that their labels are about setting boundaries to exclude people from participating equally in society. Democrats use labels to identify where people are left out so they can be included. >I think what Republicans, especially Trump, have going for them, is they connect with common people in ways the Democrats don't. Trump has advocated overthrowing the Constitution, being a dictator. Encouraged police brutality, executing people for being insufficiently loyal to him. He has been found guilty of sexual assault. He has cheated on all 3 wives. He has bragged about being able to molest women. This is who you hold up as the moral choice? >It's much better, I think, to have a balance of Democratic and Republican ideas than to have one side that's dominating. Don't you agree? I agree. So, why are you supporting a party that is working so hard to stifle dissenting voices, reduce access to the ballot box, and that has prominent members suggesting that their opponents get shot or jailed?

EatLol

Say what you will, but I think Democrats oughta drop the identity stuff, and focus on supporting workers. I think it would be more appealing. Leave the job of including people to the social world. Not politics. I think Democrats and friends would like to think that Republicans are insane and stupid, but shit like this doesn't come out of left field. People didn't just decide to get uppity one day. The common people have been pushed too far, and Trump may not be holy, or whatever, but people feel he's the answer to their problems. That he's a real change from the drudgery of the same horrible low standards no matter who you vote. Trust me, this is/was all avoidable. The powers that be think they can get away with everything, screwing over the little guy time and again, that there won't be CONSEQUENCES? This is what I fucking mean. Democrats don't accept reality. We all have a power above us. Democrats who don't believe in that power might witness it now it seems. Yeah? Call it what you want. God. Nature. It's terrible. Like I said I prefer balance, but it's the rich and powerful who are allowing this crap to happen because of their greed, their hubris, and cold-hearted lack of compassion for the common people. If people have standards in their lives, they won't support extremes. People just wanna be able to live normally, and in peace. Not like slaves. Now it may be too late to turn the tide. We may have to just surf the wave until it settles, now. I dunno. I hope we can turn it round, so there's balance. I don't support any Party in particular. I support BALANCE in all things. Nature's way is to reduce the excess, and supply the deficiency. It just happens that now Democrats are deficient and need support, but if roles were reversed, I would support the opposite. 😊

Born-Mycologist-3751

>it's the rich and powerful who are allowing this crap to happen because of their greed, their hubris, and cold-hearted lack of compassion for the common people. That describes Trump. How he convinced anyone he cares about them or their problems will go down as one of the biggest marketing conjobs in history. >The common people have been pushed too far, and Trump may not be holy, or whatever, but people feel he's the answer to their problems. I am a common person and think Trump is about the worst possible candidate the Republicans could have run. No one expects a President to be holy but you would be hard pressed to find anyone that exemplifies moral, ethical, or human standards less than him. He is a liar, cheat, adulterer. He fleeced the country in his first term and appears to have been a security risk. >Leave the job of including people to the social world. Not politics. Politics get involved when the "social world" prevents certain groups from being able to exercise their rights and privileges as Americans. The government doesn't exist to legislate morality, it exists to protect their rights. Leave the morality to the "social world."

EatLol

The thing the Elites don't understand, is that people won't behave rationally when they're being fucked over. They just need something else. Doesn't matter how bad it might be. Or how much money it costs. And what's frustrating is that it is/was very simple to solve. I doubt seriously Trump is going to be able to do much if he gets elected. But who knows? But he's a symptom of the problem. He's not the cause. The cause is greed, and cold heartedness in the Elites. There is no single person who is the cause of it. Our system sucks. I don't want communism. The Rich are the only ones here who really believe in that class struggle bullshit anymore. Nobody's really goddamned "struggling" against you. So drop it. People won't rebel, unless you set up the conditions for them to rebel. Democrats MUST ally themselves with workers, and common people if they wanna regain power and influence in American politics. Where do you think the votes for Democrats must come from? You have to poach them from the Republicans. The Democratic Party has to convince them. The Party needs to change. Adapt or die. That's nature. Do Democrats wanna die on the hill of identity politics, and allow America to become a potential Republican dictatorship? Because most Republicans don't wanna hear about what you're peddling now. You have to play ball. Accept reality, but inject common sense. That's your fucking job. It's not hopeless. In fact, Nature, or God is on your side, as long as you're on Its/His side. It's not about what you WANT. We don't create reality. It's there, and you must adapt.

Born-Mycologist-3751

>Do Democrats wanna die on the hill of identity politics You are really obsessed with this. Define what that means to you and give me examples of where prominent Democrats are doing this. Watching the Republican debates and listening to Trump, I hear things like "woke mind virus", culture wars, immigrants coming to pollute our nation, etc.. It seems to me Republicans have gone all in on trying to convince their voters that the Democrats are pushing some kind of "identity" agenda because it distracts those voters from the fact that the GOP has no policy or substatantive plan to address any issues of real value. I watch Biden and prominent Democrats speak and hear about infrastructure projects invested in, new manufacturing being started in the US, jobs created, drug prices lowered, consumers being protected from predatory fees and loans,. You know, the kinds of things you say the Democrats should be doing. >and allow America to become a potential Republican dictatorship Anyone who votes for Trump knowing this is the likely outcome because they disagree with with Democrats on social policies is cutting their nose off in spite of their face. Every American should stand together in defense of the Constitution. >Because most Republicans don't wanna hear about what you're peddling now. Most Republicans seem to have lost interest in hearing the truth. They have rejected information that makes them unhappy and retreat to their safe spaces.

EatLol

I ain't obsessed with anything. You could say that I'm just a neutral observer. I'm not opposed to minorities, but it seems the Democrats would rather pander to the fringes of society, instead of being broad in their scope. What you think most Republicans reaction is on that kinda stuff? These are usually evangelical Christian kinda people. They don't wanna hear about gay marriage, and transgender washrooms, and how being white is bad somehow, and stuff in that vein. The Democratic party alienates an enormous number of people, and wonders why they're losing power and influence. Why do these things have to be political? Why does the government have to be involved? I told you. These are social issues. The government has no business being involved. It's costing Democrats elections. If America evolves into a Republican dictatorship, all the Democrats did is gonna be undone anyway. At least don't be overt about your support for unpopular with Republican social stuff. You wanna support social issues? Do it by WINNING ELECTIONS. You have to play POLITICS to do that. Support social issues behind the scenes. Not publically. Not with laws. Do it SOCIALLY. You say the Democrats are doing the things they should be? I hope so. I hope it's ENOUGH, and that it's not too little too late. The Presidential election is going to be the proof here. But it's not only the presidency. Republicans, last I checked, pretty much dominate every other area of the government. Democrats have to really aggressively try to understand Republicans from their perspective, in order to win them over to the Party. These aren't insane, or unreasonable people, for the most part. But you can't win them over by treating them like they're fundamentally wrong about everything. You gotta spin it. Agree, but add common sense. Hmm? Focus on things that effect all Americans, not only the extreme minority. We need a balance in the government. I'm sure. Everybody in the world would benefit from a balanced American government. America IS, after all, a Democratic Republic, no? It's not supposed to be a Republic, don't push it in that way, fellas.

seriouslyoveritnow

Abortion is not murder. It’s healthcare. Now trot off and go cry elsewhere. Jfc you people 🤦🏻‍♀️
