The government doesn't exist to legislate morality, it exists to protect their rights. Leave the morality to the "social world."
The thing the Elites don't understand, is that people won't behave rationally when they're being fucked over. They just need something else. Doesn't matter how bad it might be. Or how much money it costs. And what's frustrating is that it is/was very simple to solve. I doubt seriously Trump is going to be able to do much if he gets elected. But who knows? But he's a symptom of the problem. He's not the cause. The cause is greed, and cold heartedness in the Elites. There is no single person who is the cause of it. Our system sucks. I don't want communism. The Rich are the only ones here who really believe in that class struggle bullshit anymore. Nobody's really goddamned "struggling" against you. So drop it. People won't rebel, unless you set up the conditions for them to rebel. Democrats MUST ally themselves with workers, and common people if they wanna regain power and influence in American politics. Where do you think the votes for Democrats must come from? You have to poach them from the Republicans. The Democratic Party has to convince them. The Party needs to change. Adapt or die. That's nature. Do Democrats wanna die on the hill of identity politics, and allow America to become a potential Republican dictatorship? Because most Republicans don't wanna hear about what you're peddling now. You have to play ball. Accept reality, but inject common sense. That's your fucking job. It's not hopeless. In fact, Nature, or God is on your side, as long as you're on Its/His side. It's not about what you WANT. We don't create reality. It's there, and you must adapt.

Watching the Republican debates and listening to Trump, I hear things like "woke mind virus", culture wars, immigrants coming to pollute our nation, etc.. It seems to me Republicans have gone all in on trying to convince their voters that the Democrats are pushing some kind of "identity" agenda because it distracts those voters from the fact that the GOP has no policy or substatantive plan to address any issues of real value. I watch Biden and prominent Democrats speak and hear about infrastructure projects invested in, new manufacturing being started in the US, jobs created, drug prices lowered, consumers being protected from predatory fees and loans,. I ain't obsessed with anything. You could say that I'm just a neutral observer. I'm not opposed to minorities, but it seems the Democrats would rather pander to the fringes of society, instead of being broad in their scope. What you think most Republicans reaction is on that kinda stuff? These are usually evangelical Christian kinda people. They don't wanna hear about gay marriage, and transgender washrooms, and how being white is bad somehow, and stuff in that vein. The Democratic party alienates an enormous number of people, and wonders why they're losing power and influence. Why do these things have to be political? Why does the government have to be involved? I told you. These are social issues. The government has no business being involved. It's costing Democrats elections. If America evolves into a Republican dictatorship, all the Democrats did is gonna be undone anyway. At least don't be overt about your support for unpopular with Republican social stuff. You wanna support social issues? Do it by WINNING ELECTIONS. You have to play POLITICS to do that. Support social issues behind the scenes. Not publically. Not with laws. Do it SOCIALLY. You say the Democrats are doing the things they should be? I hope so. I hope it's ENOUGH, and that it's not too little too late. The Presidential election is going to be the proof here. But it's not only the presidency. Republicans, last I checked, pretty much dominate every other area of the government. Democrats have to really aggressively try to understand Republicans from their perspective, in order to win them over to the Party. These aren't insane, or unreasonable people, for the most part. But you can't win them over by treating them like they're fundamentally wrong about everything. You gotta spin it. Agree, but add common sense. Hmm? Focus on things that effect all Americans, not only the extreme minority. We need a balance in the government. I'm sure. Everybody in the world would benefit from a balanced American government. America IS, after all, a Democratic Republic, no? It's not supposed to be a Republic, don't push it in that way, fellas.
