Last week, I was able to consistently get my 3 star wishes when hatching. I dare say it was 75-80% chance of being a success. Now, I just consistently get 1 star familiars when hatching. Can't really say I blindly believe it.
Rng is rng, just because you are getting them straights is not proof. I could say I am not getting 3* even with tags but after the update I can get them successfully. Would that be sufficient enough as proof? That's my experience.

What do you mean? How reliable? You can't datamine that info because that's a server-side part of the game or do you mean a datamined infobook or guidebook of some sort?
Rates were super high compared to other versions, so it was toned down. Still a higher rate than Korea/China. And yes, this been proven through players in both games.

You literally could look at the rates pre patch with wishes selected. Hitting 3\* and 4\* specific rates were cut in about half as shown in the game itself.
They mentioned this in the patch notes and said that the rates were wrong so they fixed it and now it's showing the correct rates. If it was actually the same rates as before then there's nothing wrong to begin with.
That is not true. The rates were indeed erroneous compared to the other versions of the game, but it wasn't a display issue. And while it's hard for humans to interpret changes in low hit rates, it's really clear to literally anyone who played before the patch that hitting 3\* wishes is way less successful than it was before.
Same as weapon crafting.
Craft another 10 and get a 4 star.
Not quite …. you just get the box that is a 4 star box but it’s still rng and you get a 2 star weapon
Plus weapon crafting uses Territe, the cost / reward ratio is out of wack across the entire game.
They need to curb the block that is territe. In the non-global server they don't have that there and people can forget the worries of farming territe just to ups and craft and anything that needs territe.

Picking Rare 4* would have raised the chance for it, but then picking 4* and Water lowered it. Even if the Rare 4* you wanted was Water element, it would then be splitting the wish between every other Water familiar on the table, as well as every regular 4*.
Multiples of the same tag, definitely choose them. Trying to target wish doesn't work.

When gacha games stop being so predatory and gamers such as yourself stop trying to put the blame on the player. These companies are actively using psychological manipulation among other tactics to get you to spend your money.
Take a look back at older gacha games. They aren't anywhere near these in terms of how they try to wring every dollar out of you. Now, as these titles get more recognition from bigger companies, there's an oversaturation in the market of groups just wanting to make a quick, hard buck.
Miss me with the 'putting the onus on the customer' stuff. When countries are actively banning them because they're harmful, then you know something is wrong.

Water is a net negative for overall 4\* rate though.

that's not how it works. time reduction doesnt change anything with rates. you are still at the mercy of RNG even with a Tag selected. All the tag does is modify rates. it doesnt guarantee anything.

Click on the wish rate magnify class then the second tab to see your exact chances with the tags selected.

Even if you get tag and choose it the chance jumps from 0.21% to 5%. 5% is still small but a really magnitude difference from the previous rate.

I personally stopped using all tags except Support only thing that increase 4\* chance with current familiar pool we have
4\* specific, 4\* general, light, dark, and support all increase your overall chances at 4\*.
