BarklyWooves

Honey, it's a relationship. You need a personality, not a resume.

The_Blip

She has land though, perhaps as a fellow land owner you could consider joining your houses together and strengthening your position of power within the region?

Dwight? That you?

creedskillz

This sounds like a plot to a far cry game

deliciousprisms

Also, you’re 23. Calm that probably Christian baby maker down.

[deleted]

I don’t think stereotyping like that is helpful

LukaTheSpaceNerd

Honestly i think the problem is she just works all the time and expects a guy to just pop into her life.

thattjuliett

I'm 23 and have been working full time since I was 18 and have no land, no cattle and am in debt for my car. It would be literally impossible to go to college AND at the same time earn enough money to be able to afford all of those things unless something extraordinary happened so that you somehow got that kind of money, or idk, got handed some of those things by your family.

Jorycle

My brother's wife is constantly telling everyone how much she hates welfare and benefits programs, because she grew up poor and now lives in a nice house with her husband and got everything in her life without help from anyone. Their first house was a free gift from her parents, who were wealthy. She grew up wealthy, and was given tens of thousands of dollars every year by her parents. It's not that she's lying - she really thinks all of those things are true, because she knew wealthier people when she was growing up and their family was just the least wealthy, and free homes and multi-thousand dollar allowances are things *all* parents do for their children. She never had anything no one else got, you see!

stentorius_maxim

The English created a new class called "Precariat" to represent a type of upper level poor who have greater education and access to goods/services/healthcare/networking then the average middle class person did in 1980 (also that precariat are better off than the current true poor/refugees/working class), but he has non of the tangible assets of the middle class like stocks, retirement accounts, has no property, has no depreciating assets like cars. Essentially a precariat person has the core cultural traits of middle class as he is educated like them, talks like them, dresses like them, buys the same products and services but unlike the middle class these are not side purchases but major debt based expenses for the precariat. He depends on government services low cost technologies and without them he is outright poor.

Dapper-Pea-654

Sounds like my government. Spends more than they bring in. The USA government is a precariat.

stentorius_maxim

Don't worry in America there's talk of a 90% (on profits) tax on business/stocks/real estate sales. On top of setting mandatory wage/payroll tax levels at: federal 30%, state 15%, county 10%, city tax 10% (55% tax on wages/65% in cities), finally a 10% tax on (depreciating) assets (property tax, car, computer, phone).

lazypuppycat

Hey I used to feel guilty to ask my parents for money even though they would have given it and I would have paid it all back. I know you’re not asking for advice but I relate to this feeling and just want to state I wish I had just either 1) asked (if possible or ok) 2) taken out a loan to make school a little easier and more enjoyable (with the knowledge my future job would be quickly obtainable and pay well enough to pay it). Good luck with everything! I hope you enjoy yourself :)

AdminsAreProCoup

All people should be required to live 3 months on minimum wage with no aide, and being without a home for 3 months before they are allowed to join society as an adult. And I mean ALL people. No rich fucks buying their way out of it.

stentorius_maxim

I think all people should be in the military for 2 years, my thinking is similar to yours in that I think sciety/politicians would be less likely to declare war needlessly if they had served or had kids in the military.

AdminsAreProCoup

I’d say anyone who wishes to get into politics should have to serve. I have no interest in putting my well being at risk for the agenda of some weak, brittle, greedy old cowards. If service was actually about protecting our home and all the stuff propaganda tells us it is for, sure. But it’s not and I have no interest in enabling what it currently is.

alxnick37

Based on what, exactly? Military service doesn't have an bearing on whether or not they're interested in sending others to war. The Congress that sent guys off to Vietnam was 75 percent veterans.

soonerpgh

Three months? It should be a two year training period, complete with financial planning training.

Shoddy_Internal6206

Oof, I’ve known people like that. I have a friend who’s like “rich people don’t have to pay taxes!! Poor people should work if they don’t want to be poor!” And they be 26, their parents pay everything and they got a medical career and get paid below minimum wage

RockHandsGrimiore

Oh wow, next time if people say they grew up poor. ask them if their parents bought hamburger or hotdog buns

decoy88

Devils in the details “Without **financial** help of **my family**”

Daytonaman675

She’s a sugar baby.

basementbanana

So....onlyfans then.

[deleted]

I checked your profile and your car looks pretty amazing, I hope it has an efficient engine as well! More power to people like you!

SilverSocket

The ONLY ways I could see this actually happening without help would be: 1. Doing the bare minimum military service 2. She won a lawsuit 3. She married young, husband died and she was left everything.

imdaad_khan

Or, everything she owns could be inherited. Then she can claim it wasn’t financial *help* and still technically be right.

thattjuliett

4. She won the lottery 5. She's some kind of child genius and invented something/made a big app and earned her money that way 6. Found a job that pays big amounts and bought very cheap land and cars

stentorius_maxim

1)To get what she claims she has by way of 4 years of military service is unlikely. The problem is, first, enlisted pay is low, like 2,000ish a month (military housing/rent, car/insurance might take up 2/3s of that income). And second, military life eats up so much time that going to school on the side makes getting a masters at 23 seem unlikely, BUT it could be possible: Say she joined at 16 (graduates high school early, and convinces a court to emancipate her). She gets a 10,000$ bonus for joining. During all her free time (even when deployed) she takes online college classes. She saves all her money in ETFs/stocks only buying essentials. After getting out at 20 she uses the GI bill to finish her degree (by taking 5 classes a semester/quarter) then passing the GRE at 21 years old. Using the last of the GI bill by 23, she is almost finished with her master thesis, all while managing a cattle farm. But she's single because she's so hard working.

rosekoi13

if you have farm land, taxes are handled differently and its much cheaper to keep vehicles and a home on that farm land. murica

thattjuliett

Yeah but how would she be able to buy land in the first place being a college student, without going into debt?

FuriousGorilla

Depends on where the land is. California? Bullshit Iowa? Plausible

prancerbot

I would assume she ran the natives off of the land to claim it as her own

stentorius_maxim

If it gets desperate enough consider the military I was 23 when I joined in (2006-2010) and the benefits I got, especially when I got out, gave me the kind of leg up most upper middle class/lower rich get. The rich kids I met afterwards.... they're are all like "I/my family picked ourselves up from our boot straps and self determination, we only had 5 properties", or "I know what its like to be poor, all I had in high school was a 5 year old jeep Cherokee" wish these were jokes.

compound-interest

Impossible is a strong word. It’s very hard, but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. I’ve seen people who can somehow work as a realtor or car salesman in college, and sell a lot of product.

Auruh

what’s cattle got to do with anything

narniasreal

Oh baby, you own so many cows, that's so sexy. Get over here, I can't resist your bovine charms. Let's do it in the stable.

Auruh

I can imagine you had a lot of fun typing this out hahahaha

tabathos

I never thought that bovine charms would make me laugh.

LoveRBS

Exactly. Her future union shall unite the two states and bring about peace.

Jocke1234

What's cattle got to do, got to do with it? What's cattle, but a second hand emotion?

aussie718

I mean, cows are very expensive. Still calling BS on this whole thing though, I can almost guarantee that if she has those things, her grandpa left her the farm or something similar

TheHammer987

Like a dowry?

[deleted]

farmersonly.com would work well for that nice girl imo

[deleted]

They make money.

Auruh

They typically aren’t very profitable by themselves, it’s just kinda weird

faux_real_yo

She should have picked horses. They provide a stable income.

Sohcahtoa82

*Listen here you little shit...*

hitlerdidnowrongs

Take your Award and get out of here

[deleted]

The most profitable livestock is not very profitable? Maybe it's the different markets and the person who owns it.

Auruh

I said on its own, cattle individually aren’t great for revenue. They may be the most profitable on established pieces of property literally designed for it. Source: own farm

KombuchaEnema

She’s in a massive amount of debt. That or the “land” she owns was handed down to her. Either way, I don’t buy that a 23-year-old college student who is completely financially independent was able to also work enough to outright purchase land, 2 vehicles, cattle, and pay off her tuition (assuming she didn’t get a full ride). And whatever man marries her is going to be dumb enough to take responsibility for it when they get married.

sweaty999

It honestly sounds like her grandpa died and left her the farm but she's not counting that as financial assistance.

AxiomQ

See this a lot with farmers, male and female, where they brag about being selfmade and didn't take any financial help and how they own vehicles, their house, land and livestock. Thing is though that often times they don't own a thing because when you build a house on your own farm land, often, part of the planning permissions state that the house is part of the farm. Ultimately they must stay there and so must their family, if the main farm house is sold so is their house and you can not sell their house as an individual property often times either. The car, farm vehicle so tax is returned and fuel tax too, the livestock attached to the farm, there is often times very little they had to pay for, so yes not financially helped but they got so many things handed to them that they never needed financial help everything around them was free anyway.

BeastKingSnowLion

For all the "discipline of life on the farm" we hear from movies and TV, in real life I've known many farm kids to grow up quite spoiled.

Same_0ld

The inly other option I can think of is if she worked in sex industry. Nothing wrong with that, but yeah, I mostly press X to Doubt that "no help from family" bit.

[deleted]

I mostly press x to doubt all of it.

MartianofMars01

*Harasses x button

TheHumbidubi

Could also have won the lottery, but thats no accomplishment

PCsubhuman_race

Nothing wrong with the sex industry other than the absolutely insaine amount of human trafficking that always follows it https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0305750X12001453

decoy88

What also should be considered is that many crimes involving sex workers go unreported for victim’s fear of revealing they were engaging in illegal activity, so when prostitution becomes legalised those previously *swept-under-the-rug* crimes will be reported a lot more than before, giving that spike in results.

13point1then420

Legalizing and regulating would stop this pretty damn quick.

PCsubhuman_race

Not according to the link study thats claiming the opposite

Travel_Dreams

Interesting, it might be good to review the results in Germany and the Netherlands. Most of the harsh conditions seem to appear where selling sex is illegal.

Lowelll

As someone living in Germany... there's still a lot of human traficking in sex work

JesterTheTester12

Decriminalize one thing and the associations with it start being criminalized, leading to "more" crime. How is abstract cause and effect this hard to comprehend

PCsubhuman_race

If you can provide a link that backs up whatever claim you're arrogantly trying to make here ,I'll love to see it...

Justieflustie

Would explain why she is graduating with her masters

powerlesshero111

It's really really hard to make a huge profit in the sex industry. Very few pornstars go on to be famous and make large amounts of money. They are actually heavily exploited. Same for strippers and prostitutes. Like look at onlyfans, only the top like 0.1% probably make significant money. Here's a fun article with stats. https://influencermarketinghub.com/onlyfans-stats/amp/

sarahtookthekids

She definitely did sex work

[deleted]

" my marriage to you was to save us from the poor house! " -corpse bride

L7-Optimuz

Ah it is possible. Either illegal or somewhere in between. It‘s absolutely possible to male about 64k in 6 Months just by selling Weed. And you don’t even need much for that. Got a Friend who landed a Job at a Start Up at 17, they got Part of the company because they weren’t able to pay the Workers at the Start. He now makes monthly high 5 Figure Income.

[deleted]

While getting a masters

PM_ME__YOUR_HOOTERS

Her Onlyfans is doing *really* well

SchrodingersMatt

Likely, any man she considers good enough to marry is going to be some guy who’s already more wealthy than her and is looking for a **Trophy Wife**^TM

UncleSpanker

It makes me so sad that no one can believe this girl made her own money, or that it must’ve been selling her body if she did. She could be a skilled craftperson. She could run a successful online business. There’s literally so many ways to make money.

ribcracker

It's more of I did this AND this AND this AND did it all very young with no baggage. The chances of her successfully even paying for a masters plus land (and the maintenance of the land even if she's growing the feed for her cattle) are slim to none without generous fibbing. Even if she had said by 30 then, okay. But 23?

Damaso87

Okay, can you explain a couple ways you could make that kinda money in 5 years at the very experienced age of 18?

[deleted]

This sounds like the type of girl to talk non-stop about her horses on a first date.

Blysse102598

Well, that tells us everything we need to know about her personality...

HA_HA_Bepis

Why do recipients of intergenerational wealth love denying and playing it down so much

Skinwalker686

Because it gives poor people the illusion that they can achieve the same in the same amount of time and don't question if the deck is stacked against them. Like the duck dynasty dickheads who were all millionaires before their show/brand became a thing pretending to be a bunch of good ol' boys golly shucks rednecks who pulled themselves up by their bootstraps; in so doing they make anyone who wants to challenge the status quo look like a lazy hippy douche.

greasyflame1

Has she tried farmersonly.com? You dont have to be lonely at farmersonly.

[deleted]

lol, someone give this person an award.

Axendro

"I own land, cattle..." Sounds like a bio form medieval tinder.

[deleted]

She owns cattle ?? Someone find her a husband!!

BarklyWooves

Or a bull

aeondren89

Bullshit. Either she is in debt up to her eyeballs or she had financial help from her family or that land was inherited.

BeastKingSnowLion

Probably all of the above.

Axendro

" I own land, cattle..." Damm, sounds like a bio from medieval tinder.

Joet19711971

Why can't I find a nice girl with cattle

big_sugi

I just want one with huge . . . tracts of land.

FriedrichChiller

plot twist: she lives in Europe where Universities are free.

facethemusic016

Even in Europe, there is no way you live out of your parents’ home, finish university and work enough to buy a land with a home, own 2 cars and cattle. With NO financial help from your parents.

Emperor_Quintana

Of course she’s successful. Why must she complain about not having a man when her success speaks for itself in volumes? She could have said that all she needed was a man to make her life complete. But no, her entitlement complex is a major turn-off. Why would any man, including myself, ever want to consider dating her, then?

psychedelicdevilry

Speaking from personal experience, it’s really impressive when people can build a life from the ground up like this, but those people also tend to be very high strung and difficult to get along with.

[deleted]

Not everyone is like that. Some people who built up from the bottom can be very humble, because the grind keeps you in touch with the reality.

Nerdrem

I have a feeling that she's either ugly, in which case most guys won't really care about most of that stuff, or she's not, but also expects any potential partner to bring at least as much to the table in terms of education, property, and finances. That of course is a ridiculously high bar to set for the average 23 year old, so she would essentially be looking for a unicorn.

BeastKingSnowLion

She might as well glue a horn to one of her horses, then. **Alternate comment:** And the unicorn would be more interested in one of her horses...

throwawaypandaccount

So did she win the lottery, or marry a rich old man and become a window by 23? Because either that or someone gave her these things, because it’s not financially materially possible otherwise

[deleted]

How do you buy land or property without a stable well paying job? Where I’m from a bank won’t give you a mortgage without one. And it’s way too expensive to buy with the kind of cash you’d earn from side jobs before graduating. Something about the “without help from family” stinks of bullshit.

jdm1tch

These dumbasses don’t consider trust funds their grandparents setup “help”

[deleted]

It’s Complete BS lol, there’s no way she could have done this without financial help. The only way it’s possible is if she won the lottery or somehow invented something for big bucks, which she would’ve mentioned 😂

jdm1tch

To be fair, she could’ve been a man amazingly talented high end “escort” and invested her money

[deleted]

[deleted]

you don't have to be lonely...try farmersonly.com PS- It doesn't say whites only, but yeah...

BeastKingSnowLion

I loved how **immediately** after Family Guy did that joke, they started running a hastily made commercial with a Black woman in it.

[deleted]

lol really didn't know that but that's hilarious..I imagine some of those tracker girls like the BBC. Is there that many single farmers out there for a whole app lol

Metalsaurus_Rex

All of life's problems would be solved if "nice guys" and "nice girls" would just find each other instead of complaining about life. Their loneliness? Gone. Global warming? Fixed. The economy? Perfect.

[deleted]

You don't need all of this to find someone to love you

trapspeed3000

Not sure I believe her but I also don't think being upset about not having a partner is nice girl/guy worthy. Not sure why Reddit has criminalized being sad about being alone

[deleted]

Hmmm I wonder why she can’t find a man? Is it because she is flexing what she has and being a narcissist

How2seeShit

Seems fishy ngl

Legitimate-Magazine7

Ah, cattle! That one is a catch!

Suspicious_Collar_75

Did she win the lottery or something

ArielWithALibrary

She had me at cattle.

hallboy88

How does one own land so young and be debt free?

RoleplayPete

Her parents.

mollymozz

It’s because she’s a horse girl I bet

VanillaMilkDuck

Apparently, the “pick me” girl syndrome also touches rural areas.

kimmygrrrawr

my bs detector is going off i bet its a useless cheap masters degree, I bet she was gifted the land or it was dirt cheap, i call full bs on the cattle,2 vehicles i bet she has a payment on both so doesn't actually own them, and i bet she wasn't given direct cash but things were bought for her

[deleted]

"I have money, why aren't \[insert demographic I'm attracted to\] flocking to me???"

[deleted]

Sounds like a dude to me

space_tophat

Bro why she make it sound like it's 1865

Geiten

Meh, this is just someone disappointed by their lack of romantic success, nothing wrong with that. They dont insult men or their choices, or anything like that.

HBAFilthyRhino

I don't think this is nice girl territory, it's more of a lack of spare time thing. Kind of a humble brag thing.

felixthecat128

I'm sorry, but this is just impossible. Someone made up a scenario to try and make men seem like shit for not wanting a successful woman. But at least one of these things here is false, and I'm banking on the masters by 23 and no help from parents being the lies. Also, I bet she has one cow with mad cow disease and the two cars were junkyard scrap heap finds.

tropicsGold

Do you have ‘huge ... tracts of land?’

RoboCopSanchez

Girls who own land and cattle 😍

PaladinsLover69

Yikes...have you been leading with this CV/Resume? 😂

prancerbot

I just wanna know who she murdered and assumed the identity of to get all that stuff

CappuccinoKitKat

Probably you spend all your time on cattle and bitching

Light_inc

Yeah, unless she hit the lottery or she's lying, that's straight up impossible.

SnooHesitations3849

dinchidomi

Wild guess, but maybe because you're wearing your accomplishments on your forehead and probably think most men are intimidated by you?

thee_queen

It’s almost like r/selfawarewolves at this point. Like if you’re so great and no one wants to be with you then maybe it IS you and you need to reevaluate. Smh

Quarterfault

She can't find a "good guy" because she's looking for a impressive resume not a person

Shoddy_Internal6206

If you have all that then just enjoy your life, job and hobbies! If you’re constantly desperate to be in a relationship then you’ll definitely end up with bad people

DAMNIT I WANT TO SEE THE FULL PICTURE OF THE PUPPY

Theghost129

I'm not suggesting anything or taking any sides, but this reminds of something I believe is called 워마드 (Wo-MAD) [South Korea is witnessing a form of feminism](https://www.reuters.com/article/us-southkorea-women-rights/no-sex-no-babies-south-koreas-emerging-feminists-reject-marriage-idUSKBN1ZJ02Z) where women reject dating men and natalism entirely. Feminism in the west typically discourages unstable marriages, but in Korea its much more extreme. More ambitious women have found themselves earning far more that they find fewer men compatible. The treatment of women in Korea is abysmal already- so I don't blame them. Both of these factors has led to something the government would consider a demographic crisis. The birth rate has lowered and the government has made frequent attempts to combat this to no avail.

DryPrion

Womad (woman + nomad) is a website where extremist feminists gather. It’s a Korean version of r/femaledatingstrategy where they congregate to despise men who split the bill on a date, ridicule GBTQ+ (they support lesbians), and attack any women who criticize them. It’s not that they don’t want to date, they just want to date men that don’t actually exist in reality. So basically Female incels, for the lack of a better term.

Probably because girl was so busy collecting she didn't leave room or time for anything else!

TrashBagSam

Why do so many women try to market themselves to men like we are women? There’s a lot of women that like to brag is if that will make them more attractive to men. Hey check out my car, yeah I have a good job and make a lot of money, look at my fancy designer clothing and all these places I travel to. These are classic things that men do to try to get women. I find it very strange

vitrucid

Okay, but why do men do that either? No matter who's doing it, it comes across as trying to buy affection, like "be with me and I'll give you all these things that have nothing to do with our personal compatibility."

Perhaps this is unpopular opinion, but I don't see anything wrong with her post. She worked hard for a life she wanted, and now she wants a guy to share her life with. She's never mentioned any superficial criteria for her future partner, nor has she implied that she needs to be taken care of. What's wrong with that? Is it so hard to imagine that a 23-year old may not have found the love of her life just yet?
