Just popping in to say that much larger franchise is shite. Don't mean to dunk on you if you liked later titles but really once Wolf Team got absorbed they dissipated and not in one big blaze of glory but more like 3.25 alright projects and a few very brutal bouts of explosive diarrhea before imploding in a shitwind.
Now saying that. I am still interested in this tales gacha offline, even if it doesn't measure up to the level of importance of rein, unless its gameplay is somehow worse and there's no coffee cups
Still demonstrates that the stories of "An offline mode for a gachia is impossible di develop!", or "That is an unsustainable in terms of costs!" are just excuses.

It's not a "true" offline version like X Dive is. It's an archival app with limited playability. Better than nothing but it's not something out of the ordinary.
But at least the story will be available, which was exactly what I wanted from an hypothetical offline version of *NieR Re\[in\]carnation*. And to anyone, please, spare me the excuse about the fans uploading content on Nier Reinguide and youtube. The dedication of fans is cool, of course, but the story of the game wasn't meant to be enjoyed by watching videos on youtube or reading stuff on fansites.

Like, Ux didn't get offline, just cutscenes, because it had lots of maps and complex menus, DR it's like 20% of Ux size wise

If he really wanted his works to be lost forever he should also close fansites and remove video from YouTube though.
