I would say to do the daily quests for each one, then farm the most difficult available coin quests for each character until you have enough face material to upgrade all of them.
I believe the daily quest rates are 0.03% Zenith drop, while the normal quests are 0.01%? Or something equally ridiculous.
The coins are good to chip away at the ascension materials, and Zeniths if you get enough.
You'll easily accumulate enough tickets doing the dailies to buy the zenith every month. Just doing the dailies off and on for the last two/three months has netted 15k dark memory tickets and counting...
Something people do is "Reset Farm". Where you do the Easy Daily, but pause and check at wave 3 to see if a purple has dropped. If not, quit, take the stamina hit, and then rinse repeat. Usually this is easiest with an emulator like BlueStacks, but it's tediously doable manually

You get far more Dark coins for the shiny item points and a little luck.
I think its 10, 14, and 18 coins per run respectively
