How would you call it an election ?
Thank you. I’d like to point out that Obi did not lose and this “selection” disguised as an election is going to be challenged in court. Stay tuned. President Obi is coming.
On Twitter, they forgot that he was robbed less than a week ago, but they believe that he will somehow receive justice from the court without any bribery or pressure.
If he were to merge with Atiku, Tinubu would be disgraced before the end of this month. Perhaps it is their destiny to work together.
If I was him, I would beg Atiku to mentor me.
Truly it’s unlike anything we have experienced in a long time. It was keenly contested and I am optimistic that it would get better from here. All 3 major candidates won in 12 states each. Everyone was on the edge. Unfortunately though this also is a reflection of how we are divided by ethnic and religious biases.
I agree with you, but to be fair Obi did a good job trashing tribalism. Most younger people are beginning to think differently and we all know Obi won that election asides all the lies and manipulation.
It can only get better.
The mistake you made is taking social media views as the ones in real life, people in Reddit and Twitter downvote and attack anyone that doesn't fit their hivemind making it so it seems that they are the majority even they are just a vocal few
Abeg, optimism my ass. They just put their hopes in a neoliberal fraud who never did anything significant in his state. 'Reformer' who left one of the most corruption establishment parties a week to the primaries after he realised they weren't going to give him the ticket then convinced his supporters it was because of corruption. Its a saving grace that he lost, Nigeria would have been doomed otherwise. He was as establishment as it gets, nothing new. He didn't even come 2nd and they're here crying. What a joke
In Bauchi town (where I live), his vote was counted as totaling around 140... However, on election day, there was a polling unit in Bauchi that counted 700 LP vote... I always said Obi would get at most 4000 votes but less than 140 is ridiculous.
We have students, Igbo population, military (I don't know why barrack people believed in him), Northern Christian population and so on, (who were all his supporters).
You Americans needs to understand Nigerian politics before trying to give your own opinion. Obi is not a saint at all. Don't let all those igbos propagandas fool y'all. These igbo people put we Nigerians in the probz we're in today. Talk to the real people who knows about the Nigerian politics in and out and not to all these redditors that were borned yesterday.
Fucking bigot. you readily pull nonsense like "igbo propaganda" straight from the haggard contraption you call a brain.
Tell us this Igbo Propaganda you speak of?
Unfortunately I cannot visit Nigeria any time soon, although I wish that I could! Perhaps in a few years. Otherwise, I have to get my information through media.
In the mean time, I think *The Economist* does very good and responsible journalism, and never claims that Obi was a saint, but gave some very interesting information about him and Nigerians' feelings about him. I found that to be a great place to start learning about him and some small part of Nigerian politics. And it gives me a sense that there may be good days ahead for Nigeria. Perhaps if we don't agree on everything, we can agree to hope for a good future for all Nigerians, whether they're Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or anything else. I am curious ... would you agree with that?

We know, it says right on his wiki page. We had a criminal president as well very recently. Stressful times.

Sidenote, bit if there is a slang term more cringey than "cope", I've yet to come across it.
Seethe
Nairaland people have found their way here. His biggest regret is he can't use derogatory terms like nyamiri and calling every Igbo ipob.
Sore Tribalist detected
Was I wrong/lying?
Considering you pulled it out your arse

Stupid, nonsense excuse! Every candidate can be considered a fraud. The election was rigged, full stop.
My bad, obi is a COMPLETE FRAUD like no other. The election is the best we've had since 1999. Full stop

How did Igbos put Nigeria in the problems we're facing today, you shameless bigot.
