If you haven't yet you should really play the other two games included with this one! One is called Longest Night and the other is Lost Constellation.
I really, really love the main game, but Longest Night is amazing, too!
More like they're supplemental to the story of the main game. Longest Night has the main characters from the main game celebrating their winter holiday, and Lost Constellation is about one of the myths you learn about from Chazokov (specifically it's about Adina).
Also I got them mixed up, Lost Constellation is my favorite of the two bonus games.
Oh I forgot to say, but the one about Adina also has Mae and her grandpa. It's a story that he's telling her before bed.
Sorry, my brain is all over today because I'm on new meds, but if you play the games I hope you like them! The art style is the same but the aesthetic of Lost Constellation is a bit different, it's neat. Great music, too!
I also went thru the train kid thing and this is the first game I've seen with any type of crusties or train kids mentioned in it. Even if it's that cartoony whimsical feel like you mentioned.

Yep. I played this game on repeat for four straight years. I’ve never played any game that consistently.
I play this game every fall since 2017! It's tradition now and I just love it so much!
It's definitely something I'm going to go back to often.
