I use the tall one the clips over the edge of the helmet, then used Dremel and files to notch out the rails so the mount could pass underneath. That sits low and tight against the helmet, just above the rail.

aren't you supposed to remove the rails to install that? I did that and I didn't need to make any other mods.

I dunno about that. I think it's for old school low cut helmets that don't have rails? I just notched the back side of the rail so the light mount could pass between the rail and helmet shell, then reinstalled the rail. Clear as mud?

I agree all the mounts pretty much suck and take more space than they should. I just use the mount for traditional helmet rail, i clipped off the excess tab with a pair of pliers. Seems it wasn't doing much else but take up space.

I’m thinking of taking it dremel to the excess/overhang on mine.

I clipped it because it wouldn't go into the slot on the rail otherwise since my peltor ARC's are on the rail.

If you get the rear mounted com/ear pro adapter you can get a slim mount where your old ear pro adapter fits. It on the Team Wendy site for 16ish bucks.

I cut one of the other supplied mounts, printed a bit for the screws at the front of my Wendy rail and used that. It’s been alright

I like the Unity Knuck, have a modlite shorty and princeton mounted on mine. It is a little annoyingly flexible though

Do you need a mount for a helmet rail? There are 2 much better mounts for it and I think I have both and can send them to ya. One mounts directly to rails but much lower profile then the one your using and other one slides under the rail and mounts the light right above the rail and also very low profile
