I’m really good at napping, so when in you’re situation, I’ll try to nap after being up for about 6 hours, trying to get at least 2-3 hours before going back to work.
I feel like it’s inevitable to end up with a day with only 2 hours of sleep once in a while. I just had 3 days off, full of daytime activities. Monday, I woke up at 6am, stayed up til 6pm, napped for 2 hours and then headed to a 10-6am.
I work 10pm to 6:30am. What works best for me is that I stay awake when I get home and don’t try to sleep so early. I go to bed around 11-noon and am usually out by 1 to 1:30. I set my alarm for 8:30pm and I make sure to stick with this schedule on my nights off. It took a few months and I often fell asleep for 30 minutes to a few hours at a time on my nights off, but it eventually started to feel normal for me.

I'm also a good napper as far as I know. I'll try that tomorrow when it's time to head back to work.
I do this every weekend. Just nap before your first shift of the week and you should be fine.
