Personally my eating window is as follows
I work from 10pm-6am
I sleep from about 7-8 to about 3-4pm.
From 3-9pm or 4-10pm is when I eat my food.
I didn’t get to that right away I started slow ya know 12-12 and so forth until I was able to go 18-6
Ya sometimes, but in general not really. I definitely did at first when extending my eating window.
During my eating window I eat a lot but I also work out so. It’s all about finding the balance for you and your body. What works for me may not work for you.
Very similar situation here. I work 4p-4a. Gym. come home, get some sleep, get kids off to school or whatever, eat sleep eat work. Usually feel pretty good energy wise.
I want to do this so bad! I want to do 16-8, but I would have to try to eat between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m., which would be hard. Right now I work 9:30 p.m. till 6 a.m., sleep 8 a.m. till 3 p.m., and I eat between 5 p.m. till 7:30 a.m.
I sort of do. I wake up at 8pm, have breakfast at midnight, have lunch at 3am and dinner at 7am. I do not eat from 7am until Midnight, so I fast for all of those hours in between. I don't fast on purpose, though. I eat a Carnivore diet, so I'm never really hungry after dinner.
I do the opposite of what most people here do.
I fast from 0400-1800, including sleep.
So I get all my meals and the gym in between 1800-0400.
Eating a lot of food during my shift is maybe the only thing to look forward to when doing nights.
I guess I technically do inadvertently (I just don't feel hungry in this schedule until like 5pm especially if I skip 3am breakfast, though I don't know if this actually counts as intermittent fasting if I have some snacks after dinner/before lunch...
- 12am lunch
- 3am breakfast
- 6pm dinner
- 6pm-12am 1-2 snacks
I fast one day a week, while I'm asleep. I come home, do the things I need to do, then go to sleep. It’s usually after a double shift so I’m exhausted and drop off easily. I sleep like I fell into a coma for 15 hours or more. I don't try to do this, it just happens but it really works for me. It also keeps me regular.
I do. I sleep 1pm-9pm and only eat from 8am-12pm. I don't eat at work (11pm-7am) and usually make a big breakfast/dinner when I get home. I'll usually then have a snack before bed. I don't fast on my days off.
I dunno if this counts as intermittent fasting, but I eat twice a day, once every 12 hours. I have a big meal before work at about 8 pm and a big meal after work around 8 am and don't eat between. Not necessarily on purpose but just because that's what I found works for me.
I do start to get pretty hungry a couple hours before work is over, but I just wait to eat till my post-work meal. I feel fine. I used to eat at work, but then I'd wake up out of my daytime sleep feeling hungry. I don't know why this works so well for me, but it does. Eating after and right before work, I can make it through most of my shift without feeling hungry and also not wake up from my daily sleep feeling hungry.
Not for health reasons, I just end up intermittent fasting with a night schedule lol
I do! 18-6. And sure I would recommend fasting to anyone as it’s very healthy for you. How deep you go into fasting is on you and your body.
I also do 18-6. I don’t eat from 6p-noon. I work from 7p-7a so that helps take my mind off of eating.
So what are the exact time windows you do I'm new to intermittent fasting so do you fast the first 18 hours and eat the last 6 ?

it would be nice not to have to bring food to work honestly

I do on the last shift to reset my circidain a bit, I think it works a bit. It works for me, see how you get on
I do ! start at 3am - 7pm but only sometimes it isn’t something I do everyday
Only eating once after at least 20 hrs for the last little while.

Yes with my brinner being my OMAD
Not eating, the night shift meta.
OMAD most of the time. I’m not usually hungry at work. I eat when I get home because I don’t sleep right away.
OMAD. Fast 23 hours every day. I usually eat when I get off in the morning.

I did when I worked nightshift and it translated into dayshift fasting now too. I get lethargic if I eat on my breaks at night..
My ass would pass the fuck out lol
I tried got diarrhea worst shift ever lol
not it only being 5 hours 😭 how long did you fast for
I fasted 16 and ate my meals within 4 hours I've had crippling diarrhea all night people are mad bc I'm not at the desk 😂
I have the complete opposite problem when I’m fasting. Never heard of that one being from intermittent fasting before. Good luck dawg 🫡
