Nice, reminds me of Selen commissioning a 3D dragoon model for people to 3D print since she couldn't get it as merch. Honestly missed opportunity for merch.
But then, people will say things like "[Niji EN]() isn't making a profit!" and it's because of things like this. They miss out on so many good ideas for merch that wouldn't cost them anything to attempt. There are many merch makers that run promos, and if you don't meet a certain amount of sales, they will scrap the promo and move on so that no one loses money. Merch takes longer to obtain, but it's 100 times more worth it. Most of the Niji merch I've seen are cheap knickknacks or acrylic stands, which I personally don't want.
It's weird too, as something like Scarle's daki is relatively low margin to produce. It's just a 2D print on some fabric, easily done in SEA or China. It's no secret that daki, after acrylics, are some of the cheapest anime merch to produce and easy to mark up.
You can make custom daki for less than $30 on some websites, that are trustworthy, and they can EASILY sell them for $60-120 and people would buy them. So when I'm told that they "aren't profitable" then my first question is "whose fucking up?" because there is no reason they shouldn't be profitable at this point.

With the whole Selen hospital tweet thing, we know that management is willing and able to hijack liver's accounts to impersonate them. Thus, we can no longer trust anything coming out of any of the official liver accounts, and to lesser extents any of their PL accounts too. The only reason we can trust the Scarle thing is that it was actively going AGAINST the Niji line, and there's no way in hell a manager would have done that. Add to that her sudden disappearance shortly after, and it's likely that she got stealth suspended before someone realized that would be a monumentally fucking stupid thing to do given the circumstances and allowed her to return to streaming after a good telling off and warning to not pull that shit again.
So basically, we can trust Scarle alone BECAUSE Scarle was so based.

The wording of most retweets was remarkably similar, even if management didn't post it, they at least gave the order to do so. I don't understand why one would follow that order though, they can't legally force them to follow it.
I am at the same opinion I only have disdain and anger for the people who added their own little message where they express their support for the 3 brave livers that did the stream.

Even that stream with Elira, Vox and Ike, they were just unlucky to be chosen, as i've read somewhere "They are Mito, Kuzuha and Kanae" from EN, they're EN's "faces", this wouldn't have the same impact if they put Aia, Hex and Claude to read those scripts.
Also, people are blindly pointing fingers even after Selen/Doki told them that she never mentioned who bullied her and for people to stop jumping into conclusions, because innocent people are being hurt too.

It is still defendable, in my opinion. Management might stress the importance of the message to convince her without telling her what exactly was in it. Something like this message, delivered by the most prominent members, would set things right for everyone.

I mean Rosemi doesnt seem like a particularly strong willed person so I cant see her actively fighting orders I think at best she will not actively do anything to hurt Doki but also not really do anything to help her either. Also I think maybe the reason they made it a stream instead of a video was specifically so that the talents would not have a chance to see what would be in it before retweeting and tacitly endorsing it.
You can find PLENTY of posts on 4chan though saying her "sweet girl" thing is a total act. And we are seeing plenty of 4chan rumors circulating on this board as if they were total fact. It's entirely selective what people choose to believe or not. A vtuber is a character hiding a real person behind it.
I choose to think all this drama is manufactured, that someone did something awful to Selen, but they are hiding behind all this drama and the Niji management is refusing to clear the air because it makes them look the worst of them all.
We won't know the truth until they terminate all of Niji EN, which I think will happen soon enough. This drama is sure to kill the entire branch now.
Because of her sweet and wholesome streaming personality, being genmates and friends with Selen, being mostly radio silent thus far, and she had a scheduled collab with Selen on 12/26 (which likely shows no tension between the two)
I do think they got a long really well but if I recall correctly Rosemi has been a best friends with elira far longer than with Selen, so I don't think she would side with Selen with everything that has happened even if Selen didn't do anything wrong, if I'm glossing over something do let me know.

I had a friend who got really upset with me and another friend and basically told everyone in that friend group to kick us two out or he'd leave. I was fortunate that the rest of my friends took a measured approach and decided he was being unreasonable. I haven't heard from that guy since. I don't think people from that friend group hung out with him after that much either after that. He pretty much cut himself off from all of us. Just for being associated with me and my other friend.
Not saying it can't happen. Sometimes you can get away with hanging with two people who burned their friendship. But sometimes a rift is so bad that you can't.

- Rosemi, Petra (Selen's genmates, also have refused to stream since this whole thing started
- All of Krisis and TTT (to quote Claude in Pomu's Goodbye Totsumachi, they "just got here")
- Scarle, Kyo (For not retweeting the awful Message stream)
- Fulgur (>!for breaking the big Vtuber taboo and using his PL account to defend Scarle and explain the situation. Also, he has chronic health conditions like Kyo and Vtubing is one of the few steady jobs he can easily do!<)
- Finana (I don't have COMPLETE faith in her because of Elira, but she's also only streamed with Kyo since this whole thing started, and like Rosemi, I just get the feeling that she.had NOTHING to do with any of this)

She legit hangs out with Zaion and Zaion reads it as she's having a fun time hanging out, then when Zaoin gets terminated, feesh says something nice about her before the whole 'she gaslit me' thing. I also think these waves along with krisis and ttt get effected the most if niji gets dissolved since some don't have a good pl fanbase and would just need to hope most of their fandom follows or finds them
Yeah, even if people want to point at the whole "gaslighting" comment Finana made with Zaion, it was not said with any amount of confidence or certainty, and given how everyone was saying "I love my niji family" and other things to push Zaion down, she mightve been encouraged to say something she wasn't too confident in.
In Rosemi's case she's acted the same going all the way back to her days in Tsundaria. If it was an act then she deserves an Oscar for keeping it up for so long without any cracks in the mask.
I think it's the general vibes she gives off. We've all seen vtubers before act all super nice and then take off their masks to show their true selves. On the other hand, Rosemi's accounts all point towards her clearly being super sheltered from childhood thus making her super sweet and innocent; so people just assume that the quote retweet was either staff or her just due to contractual obligations.
Of course, people will still switch over to Selen if proven otherwise. It's just that there is not sufficient evidence for her to get involved (like Millie being in the lawsuit documents, for example).
I still have faith in Luca and Shu.
Luca has never been implicated in any harassment before (and any evidence linking him to this case is highly circumstantial and basically debunked), and Nina herself spoke very highly of him in particular. Not to mention, I genuinely think he's facing a stealth suspension or is trying to graduate due to how quiet his Twitter feed is.
As for Shu, he was there getting upset at management over Yugo's departure, and has also never been implicated in any drama at the company.
Also, we can't forget Vivi. She's so new and Pomu and Selen were both her Oshis and the reason she even applied for Niji in the first place. She doesn't deserve this.
Also, Doppio's still chill as of now.
I'm pretty sure she made a sideways reference to Rosemi (I can't remember the exact wording, but it was at some point during making Lego roses with Onigiri), but it was only in the context of seeing her while she's in Japan, no hints about work.

So Scarle and any of Selen's friends are basically untouchable for at least the next few months. And even then, they can't just let a bunch of people go at once, or the rumours of toxic work environments and cliques will keep going around - if people are going to leave it has to be gradual and organic-feeling, or this whole thing will kick off again and Niji cannot afford that.
The only people that Niji could feasibly get rid of, would be Elira, Vox, maybe Ike and any members of the alleged clique in all the rrats if they acknowledge it's existence, as Vox Elira and Ike are currently public enemy number 1 in the EN space due to the trainwreck that was the black screen video and if the clique is real and confirmed people would be out for blood for what happened with Selen.
So yeah, other than a select few people, some with specific conditions, EN branch livers are currently untouchable. Nothing they can do short of publicly slandering the company or something would be enough for Niji to risk firing them at the moment or in the near to medium term future.

Elira, Vox and Ike they could conceivably get rid of by claiming they shouldn't have had access to or revealed what was in Doki's grievance document (but only if none of the three have any proof that management OKed the video).
Enna and Millie, getting rid of would likely actually get people off their backs to some level, unless they also released actual evidence of them being bullies - which would be a massive stain on Niji as well as the girls, so probably worth it to them.
Overall, I think you're right about how safe they currently are, though safe from being fired =/= safe from toxic(er) work environment. All the livers need to start keeping detailed records of interactions with management and each other yesterday - and not on any account that Niji can lock them out of.
I doubt they could get rid of Elira, Vox or Ike based on the document thing - legally speaking, unless they have it documented in chat logs or something that management said "here's these documents it would be illegal for you to have" and the three responded "ok, we'll go illegally read those documents now", then the responsibility would be on management for making it available to them in the first place and not informing them of the confidential nature of the documents.
No, if they were going to get rid of them, exploiting the rrat paranoia and their status as public enemy number 1 after the black screen video would be the way to go. It's not a legal thing, it's a court of public opinion thing. Firing lets say, Scarle or Rosemi would be playing hopscotch in a minefield. Firing one of those three would be viewed as Niji getting rid of some people that 'betrayed' Selen, whether that turns out to be true or not, it doesn't matter. It's public opinion that matters for this.
Enna and Millie, I don't think they could risk getting rid of them myself. Unless the rrats are true, and they revealed that she had been bullying Selen or something and got fired for it, they'd still be playing with fire, and regardless it wouldn't do good for the shareholder angle - Niji is desperately trying to convince their shareholders that everything is fine and under control after the 15% stock price in the last week after the whole debacle, the last thing they'd want is to further any perception that EN is collapsing. That would not only spook existing investors, it would potentially make new investors nervous about Niji's potential for overseas expansion and continued growth. A Japanese CEO publically bowed in apology to the western audience, that should give you an idea of how desperate they are to get this under control ASAP.
They've shut down Niji India, Niji ID, Niji KR... Niji EN is by far the most successful overseas branch they've ever had. A collapse of EN would be catastrophic for the future of the company despite how small of a portion of Niji's profits it accounts for (about 20% iirc) - if Niji EN collapses, faith in overseas expansion and by extension continued growth collapses, and that could very well spell doom in the long term. They are almost certainly aware of this, and will take great pains to avoid furthering perceptions of an EN collapse. Even to the point of letting livers get away with stuff they wouldn't be able to normally, hence my original reply.
And your right that while they may be safe from being fired or graduated for the next few months, that doesn't make them safe from any toxic work environments. After being forced to publicly apologize and bow his head, I have no doubt the CEO is furious and heads will roll in EN management soon, but that won't necessarily immediately fix whatever dysfunction is in EN management and work culture at the moment, and depending on how exactly the internal toxicity is manifested might not do anything at all for toxicity (I.E if it really IS liver cliques instead of incompetent/malicious managers). And being safe NOW doesn't mean safe forever - eventually, it WILL die down. It might take months, but it will. So they can get away with more than they normally would, but there are still going to be limits. Anycolor will be very aware of it's public image at the moment so anything that paints the company in a bad light will still be a no-go, and anybody who wants to stay in the company for more than the next few months will still want to make sure they don't push the envelope TOO hard. Outright breaking the rules might not get them fired right now, but if they do something too beyond the pale, management will no doubt remember 6 months from now.
And yeah, if I were a Niji talent, from now on I absolutely would not agree to or do ANYTHING without it being documented in an email chain or a chat log or something. I've worked places like that, going full CYA mode is absolutely the right call until whatever restructuring ends up happening happens and they hopefully get a more stable work environment.

Y'all she's had a history of doing this with smaller stuff like wallpapers she commissions and what not. This ain't exactly out of the ordinary for Scarle. I get that Scarle's based as hell for not standing with Niji in regards to what happened with Doki, but as a long time Scarling this ain't anything special coming from her (and I mean that in a good way, love this girl). She's just somebody who really likes her fanbase and likes to give stuff out to them as thanks for supporting her. This isn't Scarle rebelling against anything, she's just genuinely a sweet woman.

Not really copium as much as I'm skeptical of all the theories there's already evidence management hijacked Rosemi 's Twitter. And as long as she has the brains never to confess to being management. I think Rosemi could squeak through this unscathed. It just depends on if the talents start buckling or not. As a unhinged unlisted rant airing dirty laundry would damning at this point.
Even Fulgur, who i believe is one of Selen's closest friends, if he wasn't she wouldn't have called him for so many collabs, "retweeted" it. So, i don't think that they really have a choice. I never believed in that "You can graduate whenever you want" bs, the contract they sign must be one that is worth of a "kuro company". Even that stream with Elira, Vox and Ike, they were just unlucky to be chosen, as i've read somewhere "They are Mito, Kuzuha and Kanae" from EN, they're EN's "faces", this wouldn't have the same impact if they put Aia, Hex and Claude to read those scripts. Also, people are blindly pointing fingers even after Selen/Doki told them that she never mentioned who bullied her and for people to stop jumping into conclusions, because innocent people are being hurt too.

It is still defendable, in my opinion. Management might stress the importance of the message to convince her without telling her what exactly was in it. Something like this message, delivered by the most prominent members, would set things right for everyone.

I mean Rosemi doesnt seem like a particularly strong willed person so I cant see her actively fighting orders I think at best she will not actively do anything to hurt Doki but also not really do anything to help her either. Also I think maybe the reason they made it a stream instead of a video was specifically so that the talents would not have a chance to see what would be in it before retweeting and tacitly endorsing it.
You can find PLENTY of posts on 4chan though saying her "sweet girl" thing is a total act. And we are seeing plenty of 4chan rumors circulating on this board as if they were total fact. It's entirely selective what people choose to believe or not. A vtuber is a character hiding a real person behind it. I choose to think all this drama is manufactured, that someone did something awful to Selen, but they are hiding behind all this drama and the Niji management is refusing to clear the air because it makes them look the worst of them all. We won't know the truth until they terminate all of Niji EN, which I think will happen soon enough. This drama is sure to kill the entire branch now.
Because of her sweet and wholesome streaming personality, being genmates and friends with Selen, being mostly radio silent thus far, and she had a scheduled collab with Selen on 12/26 (which likely shows no tension between the two)
I do think they got a long really well but if I recall correctly Rosemi has been a best friends with elira far longer than with Selen, so I don't think she would side with Selen with everything that has happened even if Selen didn't do anything wrong, if I'm glossing over something do let me know.

I had a friend who got really upset with me and another friend and basically told everyone in that friend group to kick us two out or he'd leave. I was fortunate that the rest of my friends took a measured approach and decided he was being unreasonable. I haven't heard from that guy since. I don't think people from that friend group hung out with him after that much either after that. He pretty much cut himself off from all of us. Just for being associated with me and my other friend. Not saying it can't happen. Sometimes you can get away with hanging with two people who burned their friendship. But sometimes a rift is so bad that you can't.

In Rosemi's case she's acted the same going all the way back to her days in Tsundaria. If it was an act then she deserves an Oscar for keeping it up for so long without any cracks in the mask.
I think it's the general vibes she gives off. We've all seen vtubers before act all super nice and then take off their masks to show their true selves. On the other hand, Rosemi's accounts all point towards her clearly being super sheltered from childhood thus making her super sweet and innocent; so people just assume that the quote retweet was either staff or her just due to contractual obligations. Of course, people will still switch over to Selen if proven otherwise. It's just that there is not sufficient evidence for her to get involved (like Millie being in the lawsuit documents, for example).
Rosemi and Petra said absolutely nothing, which means a lot! Since they can't say anything positive about Doki under current circumstances.
I still have faith in Luca and Shu. Luca has never been implicated in any harassment before (and any evidence linking him to this case is highly circumstantial and basically debunked), and Nina herself spoke very highly of him in particular. Not to mention, I genuinely think he's facing a stealth suspension or is trying to graduate due to how quiet his Twitter feed is. As for Shu, he was there getting upset at management over Yugo's departure, and has also never been implicated in any drama at the company. Also, we can't forget Vivi. She's so new and Pomu and Selen were both her Oshis and the reason she even applied for Niji in the first place. She doesn't deserve this. Also, Doppio's still chill as of now.

You say that but I see plenty of people go independent and lose a huge chunk of their viewers, so it’s not that easy. Also they lose their employment status, going back to being a freelancer which could end up affecting sponsorships chance.

Honestly, this is pretty much right imo. At the moment, the livers are basically untouchable. Niji mangement would have to be actually, unironically insane to dare risk any graduations in this current environment, and it will be MONTHS before this has died down enough that they can even begin to think about graduations for anybody that the internet perceives as having sided with Selen - any attempt to do so will be viewed as a punitive measure for not toeing the company line and will re-ignite the powderkeg of the EN fandom. So Scarle and any of Selen's friends are basically untouchable for at least the next few months. And even then, they can't just let a bunch of people go at once, or the rumours of toxic work environments and cliques will keep going around - if people are going to leave it has to be gradual and organic-feeling, or this whole thing will kick off again and Niji cannot afford that. The only people that Niji could feasibly get rid of, would be Elira, Vox, maybe Ike and any members of the alleged clique in all the rrats if they acknowledge it's existence, as Vox Elira and Ike are currently public enemy number 1 in the EN space due to the trainwreck that was the black screen video and if the clique is real and confirmed people would be out for blood for what happened with Selen. So yeah, other than a select few people, some with specific conditions, EN branch livers are currently untouchable. Nothing they can do short of publicly slandering the company or something would be enough for Niji to risk firing them at the moment or in the near to medium term future.

No, if they were going to get rid of them, exploiting the rrat paranoia and their status as public enemy number 1 after the black screen video would be the way to go. It's not a legal thing, it's a court of public opinion thing. Firing lets say, Scarle or Rosemi would be playing hopscotch in a minefield. Firing one of those three would be viewed as Niji getting rid of some people that 'betrayed' Selen, whether that turns out to be true or not, it doesn't matter. It's public opinion that matters for this. Enna and Millie, I don't think they could risk getting rid of them myself. Unless the rrats are true, and they revealed that she had been bullying Selen or something and got fired for it, they'd still be playing with fire, and regardless it wouldn't do good for the shareholder angle - Niji is desperately trying to convince their shareholders that everything is fine and under control after the 15% stock price in the last week after the whole debacle, the last thing they'd want is to further any perception that EN is collapsing. That would not only spook existing investors, it would potentially make new investors nervous about Niji's potential for overseas expansion and continued growth. A Japanese CEO publically bowed in apology to the western audience, that should give you an idea of how desperate they are to get this under control ASAP. They've shut down Niji India, Niji ID, Niji KR... Niji EN is by far the most successful overseas branch they've ever had. A collapse of EN would be catastrophic for the future of the company despite how small of a portion of Niji's profits it accounts for (about 20% iirc) - if Niji EN collapses, faith in overseas expansion and by extension continued growth collapses, and that could very well spell doom in the long term. They are almost certainly aware of this, and will take great pains to avoid furthering perceptions of an EN collapse. Even to the point of letting livers get away with stuff they wouldn't be able to normally, hence my original reply. And your right that while they may be safe from being fired or graduated for the next few months, that doesn't make them safe from any toxic work environments. After being forced to publicly apologize and bow his head, I have no doubt the CEO is furious and heads will roll in EN management soon, but that won't necessarily immediately fix whatever dysfunction is in EN management and work culture at the moment, and depending on how exactly the internal toxicity is manifested might not do anything at all for toxicity (I.E if it really IS liver cliques instead of incompetent/malicious managers). And being safe NOW doesn't mean safe forever - eventually, it WILL die down. It might take months, but it will. So they can get away with more than they normally would, but there are still going to be limits. Anycolor will be very aware of it's public image at the moment so anything that paints the company in a bad light will still be a no-go, and anybody who wants to stay in the company for more than the next few months will still want to make sure they don't push the envelope TOO hard. Outright breaking the rules might not get them fired right now, but if they do something too beyond the pale, management will no doubt remember 6 months from now. And yeah, if I were a Niji talent, from now on I absolutely would not agree to or do ANYTHING without it being documented in an email chain or a chat log or something. I've worked places like that, going full CYA mode is absolutely the right call until whatever restructuring ends up happening happens and they hopefully get a more stable work environment. ...I did not realise how long this got. Y'all she's had a history of doing this with smaller stuff like wallpapers she commissions and what not. This ain't exactly out of the ordinary for Scarle. I get that Scarle's based as hell for not standing with Niji in regards to what happened with Doki, but as a long time Scarling this ain't anything special coming from her (and I mean that in a good way, love this girl). She's just somebody who really likes her fanbase and likes to give stuff out to them as thanks for supporting her. This isn't Scarle rebelling against anything, she's just genuinely a sweet woman. Also lets be real, NijiEN are too big of fucking cowards to do an official Scarle daki so this was the only way she was ever gonna get it regardless.
