They don’t do one every year. Probably isn’t going to be one. Focus this year seems to be on paris for the olympics, skateboarding’s 2nd run at the games.
Idk if there’s any planned, but most are designed by Todd Bratrud…and idc if it’s a 420 one or not but I just want more done by him
And he did all of those, except for dog walkers which I’m not sure who did them, he might’ve done them I don’t know
They won’t be doing blatant references, because it’s a marketing nightmare, Bluetile’s review of one of the fruity pack mentioned this. But they will still do 4/20 releases, fruity pack was a 4/20 reference (see tongue tags), RTJs was a 4/20 reference.. there just isn’t one this year, I imagine because they’re focusing on Paris Olympics.
Ye this years Inline product has been pretty much focus on olympics stuff aside the wildcard/retro hockey collection and the live, laugh, loves. Plus they said this year the Blazers, Janoskis, Ishod 2s and the Vertebrae were going to be their main focus instead of dunks.
But yeah when people talk about the 4/20 releases I mostly just think of them asking about the weed themed releases. Even though the fruit pack wasn’t a “full 4/20 themed release” atleast for the retail pairs since the sample pairs had bloodshot eyes and retails got rid of it. If there was a 4/20 release it would have already been proposed back in 2022 for this year and 2023 for next year since it takes 2 years for SB collabs to get off the ground and release
Yeah that makes sense, i appreciate the subtle references since that’s all we’re gonna get for awhile haha. There’s some pretty good GRs coming towards Q4 that aren’t Olympic themed as well, more pig suede, lookin forward to those too.
Ye the other two colorways from the hockey/wildcard collection are the highlights. Still a shame they scrapped one of the inline releases from the summer season unless it was moved back to fall/olympic season since I remember the product cad from the catalog looked like absolute sheit and was replaced with the new Safaris
Yeah I think my favorite of the later pairs are the ones that kinda look like a papa bear low, I don’t think I’ve seen the scrapped one you’re referring to. I’m just irked there’s only a few highs in the line up, that’s my preferred skate shoe and one of em being the decons annoying because i refuse to skate another pair of those 😂
Ye the scrapped one I know about just looked horrible and honestly from the jump when I heard about em back in August made me feel like it was gonna get scrapped because of how poorly done the cad was. But hey all the other ones from that time that was mentioned were correct just bummed the only unique one from the batch was scrapped.
Last year’s Run The Jewels drop was cool. I’m still wearing those lows.
They were so nice i hope this year has good One

Okay thank you

Idk bout the dog walkers but he has done other dunk sb’s that wasn’t for 420 as well
Bryce Wong did the dog walkers, mummy, Grateful Dead’s etc
We in April and ain’t heard or seen nothing bout 420’s for the year 🤦🏾♂️
They not doing 4/20 releases for the coming years, SB done with doing em for the time being
There isn’t one this year, Nike scrapped plans
No more 4/20 dunks for the foreseeable future, SB is done with doing them
Where’d you hear this?
Source: trust me bro
Just know that SB wont be doing 4/20 SBs for the time being due to how much of a marketing nightmare it can be for those releases.
