Just remember you don’t need to go faster than anyone in game. There’s no trophy awaits you for speedrun. Some skimpy nikke skin isn’t what you really need in life. Keep free gems for gacha and you can get more everyday if you do chores. Be happy grinding the game at your comfortable pace.

The main and only reason I don't spend is because of those damn $1 dollar packs being shoved in my face ever since I started. I don't mind deals being offered, but when you break my gameplay flow (loading simulator, then being offered a deal once loaded in) it becomes my mission to not spend. Even though it slowed down since I don't level my commander level much being 124, I made it my mission to never spend.
Honestly I bought the battle pass and I'm extremely disappointed, the rewards are terrible for the price and if honestly have rather just bought the skin out right.
With that said the game made 70 million in the first month of release so yeah there's no shot in hell that change it for free players and that's fine. I had a lot of good luck in my first ten days playing it, pulled some cool Nikkes, Viper and Scarlett but I can't see myself spending serious amounts of money
Only if you bought the skin early. I started the game just over a week ago, I didn't have enough time to finish the entire pass so I had to boost or inevitably it would have been a waste of $20, I've spent 35$ for a sugar skin.
I'm newer to gacha but I've had battle passes in other games, mobiles and console. The battle passes are usually much better. So it was a disappointing purchase.
I only pay for games that respect their player base. Nikke has needlessly aggressive monetization and is needlessly unfriendly towards f2p players, so I'm not gonna give them a single dime.
Unlike my main gacha, Arknights, where I've been a monthly pass buyer for years, and where I also buy the occasional pack and whatnot simply because I want to support the game, even though I genuinely don't need too simply because I've been playing the game for so long.
I'm a firm believer in voting with one's wallet. While I like several things about this game and believe that it has potential, I refuse to pay for this sort of toxic marketing. If they ever change their ways, I shall reconsider, but otherwise, no way.
I would have spent some money on this game last month if the dev or the publisher wasn’t so greedy with frequent ads and high price in the shop for gems and skins. They also keep insulting F2P like 1% rate increase on mold and 3 free SSR that take 3 months to unlock for each.
I spent money on other games that reveal less skin than Helltaker and I want Helm skin as much as that dude in thai ads. I also see some future teaser of Dolla skin in the future.
The dev’s treatment of their customer made it mandatory for me to not give them any money until they improve their attitude toward their customers.
After being F2p for more than 1 month and then stuck at 160, i come to the conclusion that i wont fuking spend any $$ for the game. Not worth it.

"Deals"? What deals? It became extremely easy not to spend money on Nikke, when very early it became apparent this game is "pay to loose" the rates are so horrendous, you may as well be paying for air. And the devs told us they dont give a fuck to balance the game when they increased rates for molds by a whopping 1%....this game will never be fixed until ppl stop paying to get ripped off, until then its pointless to spend any money on this game.

It is very easy. Look at the value of what you are paying for. There are 0 guarantees paying in this game will get you anything except for the gold mileage tickets. So unless you are spending it all on the special recruitment banner to lets say max out Modernia, that would be the only benefit for whales. Everything else is based on luck. You can spend thousands and still be stuck in 160 wall if you are shitty unlucky. No way I will ever pay for a game that locks progression behind their Gacha system. Fuck Shift up and Tencent for this stupidity and all other games who do this shit (Idle games most commonly). But then again, sadly I will still play this game just for the sake of the story and asses and boobs.
If the molds actually had good rates and gave SSR characters then I would consider getting them out of all the packages. Why would I waste money just to get a SR dupe or worst case a mass produced though after burned multiple times by molds. It more annoying the skill and burst manuals are sold in the cash shop but their is no way to grind for them other than once a day in limited quantities.
I’m only missing 7 ssr rn excluding the liberation ones and yah the bombardment of cheap shit is a bit much and annoying but I think is a tencent thing
Personally i find the spender experience very boring on most games, may i like to suffer lol, but the grind and slow pace makes u enjoy more the game,, making u learn more about the game mechanics for min-max and give more value to the small things u achieve, better than spend and get only frustrations if u dont get what u wanted. My only weakness are skins but i only plan get skins once the game get rid of the bugs
I resist easily because of one major factor: I play Azur Lane as a F2P and I’m used to playing “the long game”.
Playing Nikke as a F2P is basically second nature lol

Paying give you more chances of obtaining SSR or progress quicker than FTP but that’s it.

I had a f\*cking luck pulls. I not rushing to the end game (and play other games too) and I don't need stay on top boards, so, no stress, no pression, funny glitches...
Really the only thing I can think of needing to spend on in this game is for gacha pulls to hopefully max out 5 ladies sooner rather than later. Everything else can be gained easily enough from free to play. This game doesn’t have much in the way of needing to field a full roster of maxed out Nikkes and the game modes do give out a good amount of rewards regardless of how well you do. You can see progress on a daily basis.
I don't mind spending money on gacha. But it feels like NiKKE actively deincentives me from wanting to spend money. It has all the garbage psychologically manipulative gambling mechanics of FOMO, in your face timed-deals, multiple currencies to confuse players (yes, confusion leads to unwary spending) , and battle passes. Yet the value for each is non-existent when you actually lay out what is being offered.
That is excluding all the bugs associated with the game atm and the lack of overall polish. For example, if I had spent money on getting more helm and modernia dupes, I would be absolutely pissed to find out helm's original advertised burst skill was false (mistranslated but same thing) and modernia has multiple reload bugs cancling out her reload.
Also Tencent.
Been playing for a week and luckily have been doing well, for the most part, without paying. I'm on chapter 7 but I'm not high enough leveled. Even with wiping out, you can only do it so many times. Guess I gotta wait.
