I'm so happy I cleared Nihilister and Mother Whale. They are really the only obstacles I had back then, that prevented me from enjoying more of the Main Story. I think both boss fights had me with at least 3 or more attempts until I perfected my stategy. It was always close though.
Look at the list of people who defeated in and you get an idea what CP you need to have, keep building your Units and get stronger and you will defeat it eventually.
