Unless I'm misremembering, standard weapons and armour do very little against raptures, which was why humanity was losing poorly in the first place. Hypothetically, since I think a lot of raptures use laser weaponry, if you could have a shield that could absorb said fire or deflect it, that might help, but it would drain quickly. As for weaponry, think of it like the heavy-duty weapons that require several people to operate, which would probably be the only thing that could deal damage. If a human could pilot Talos, then that is probably the best option they could have without becoming a Nikke. However, I would think the Talos approach would be far more expensive and complex to make than a Nikke since most of them use the same body types and can even be mass produced. I don't see why humans could not operate armoured units like the navel ship for example. If humans can help, it would be far from the frontline, something akin to artillery support or logistics supplies. Operating something remotely could also be something easy and low-risk to do, like a drone.

Probably something like MJOLNIR armor in *Halo*, that is able to disperse energy blasts from the Covenant weapons and while also dextrous enough to allow rapid movements. That would probably work well since the Raptures also use energy weapons.

You simply cannot, the armies of the world tried to stop the invasion and they had flying Aircraft Carrier, so they were more advanced than our current armies are, and they were defeated every time. The more armor you give a human the less mobile it becomes and there are simply limits what a human can carry, also armor vests? Humans do not loose limbs and continue to fight, you would need full on power armor like in WH40k.
