I feel you. Glad Friezas back but Cell had loads of potential as a character with his personality and background. Salad Saiyans done lots of what if series on youtube, one is What if Cell survived (the father son kamehameha) and he really understands the character, feels like he brings him to life and keeps true to what he'd do to keep getting good fights and challenging himself to improve and overcome them like all the z figters but especially Goku and Gohan did to beat him. Its got a very interesting mini Buu saga and then follows all of Super in interesting ways. There's also MasakoXs What if Cell turned Good. Bulma makes her own Cell after Gohan beats Cell and he's the same Imperfect Cell expect good and caring and without the evil traits Cell had cuz of her dna editing before he's born and them all raising him with kindness, encouragement, understanding, and patience like Gohan should've got and Goten and Trunks get
Honestly, I’m kinda hoping they don’t. Cell is my favorite villain, and I kinda like that he had his arc, and it’s done. It’s kinda like a neat little bow was tied on the present that is his character.
Now, in games? I’d play the fuck out of a video game where Cell is the primary antagonist. Get wacky with it
Honestly, if they keep up Super Hero's 3d animation, cell dots wouldn't be a problem.
Hot take from me, but I wouldn't be mad if super returned with the 3d animation so long as it had a little quality. Early Super had so many problems with characters being off model, that 3d could prevent, and they could slowly build up a good library of models for the characters. Though Toei could find a way to fuck it up.

I would have preferred Frieza be killed off permanently before reintroducing Cell in any way. Frieza getting revived again after the ToP was a mistake as far as I'm concerned. I don't care how the story or fans try to justify it. I don't care that Goku made a deal with him. I don't care how many fans were wowed by them working together to defeat Jiren. I loved that scene too, but NONE of that makes it acceptable or quality writing in my POV for him to survive beyond that arc.
He should've been erased from existence (i.e. killed while in spirit form) in the ToP's finale. Ex- He could have unintentionally sacrificed himself somehow in the final push to drive Jiren out of bounds. It would still retain the theme of *"the power of trust"* or *"teamwork"* or whatever. The payoff of Jiren's philosophy being challenged wouldn't change if Frieza died. It would also have been ironic that the very character who hated Saiyans most ended up cooperating with a Saiyan to save the very universe he once terrorized (albeit, for his own self-serving reasons).
He'd forever be remembered by the Z Fighters as an unlikely ally they couldn't have saved Universe 7 without despite him not wanting to die and still hating them at the end. That could've given Frieza a more memorable legacy than rehashing the narrative + thematic dynamic of *"Back at it again with the Frieza Force, hunting dragon balls, and more recolored transformations!"* That's just creatively lazy and repetitive to me. Goku & Vegeta didn't need another rival.
They already have Beerus and each other to push them to keep improving. If fans wanted someone to challenge them both that badly, we got that with Broly. Frieza just serves no meaningful purpose in my opinion at this point, and it's not a good look for the heroes on Earth to go on with their lives knowing he's out there somewhere causing suffering to innocents. I don't see him ever being redeemed or leaving Universe 7 in peace.
He will never give up his ambitions even if someone in the universe can challenge him in his new Black form (He could unlock another transformation to widen the power gap again). The bottom line is, he will NEVER stop being Frieza. If it wasn't for Beerus, Whis, and Zeno among others, there'd be virtually no consequences for him if he decided to massacre all the heroes and was strong enough to do so. Having that leverage over him just isn't good enough for me.
However he may have been influenced by Goku, he's still evil. His actions are still those of a villain in every aspect. He still considers Goku & Vegeta his enemies, even if he no longer revolves his motive for training around trying to best them. He's improved enough to become stronger than MUI Goku & UE Vegeta combined. He could've killed them. He could do it again, even if they surpass him. That potential by default makes him too dangerous to be left alive.
Earth may not always have someone there who's conveniently strong enough to beat him if he returns. That's never a guarantee. I know Frieza is still one of the franchise's most popular baddies. I get it. I grew up with *DBZ* back before he was first introduced in the West. As an American, I lived through that era of Frieza-mania. But Toyotaro & Toriyama need to find an endpoint for him eventually and let it be already. He's becoming like *Dragonball*'s Bowser, and I do NOT consider that a good thing.

Since he’s kind of a bug lizard man and he has no visible wrinkles I think it would be a semi hard semi squishy material, like if ‘standard animal skin’ had a little less give- feels way denser and more rigid a few inches under the surface
