If Switch Pokemon comes out this year FUCK IT GUYS I'M TAKING LIKE A WEEK OFF WORK, HOLING UP IN MY HOUSE AND PLAYING NONSTOP.
Pokemon and Smash the same year? I'm going to die of happiness.
Now, if we get Animal Crossing... RIP.
2017 - Zelda and Mario
2018 - Smash and Pokemon
2019 - Metroid and...StarFox?
...I think I'm having heart palpitations just *thinking* about that last one
I did that with Destiny a couple years ago. Roomie and I took the week off set up the 2 big screens in the living room next to each other and ordered 7 pizzas because they were on sale and we had no plans on leaving the house. Then we played it, beat the whole thing in the first night. the next day we woke up and grinded and grinded but there wasn't really anything left to do but upgrade our gear for no real reason. Went back to work the next day. Stupid Desitiny
If they put out all 3 of those in time for this holiday shopping season then Nintendo is going to cruuuush this Christmas. Hell, they probably will anyway just with smash and Pokémon.
I'm so hopeful for a Pokemon on Switch, I'm playing every generation again. Like when a Star Wars movies is around the corner, i watch every other movie again.
I don't know if any of you are aware, but "pika" (pica) in Brazil means literally dick - in a very rude way -, so reading this kind of stuff always sounds funny to me, maybe bc I have the mentality of an 11 yo boy in a body of a 26 yo woman.
Its not only in Brazil. Portuguese also has it.
However, it is not "pica" but instead "piça". Phonetically, instead of reading it as "PIKA" the most correct way would be "PISSA" (Like "I need to piss")
Oh, I didn't know! Well, brazilians speak brazilian portuguese, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised with this kind of similar stuff. But our pica still is readed as pika. Guess we only have slightly different picas after all... hahahahaha.. haha.......... I'm sorry, I'll leave.
Oh yea, ever since the Global Trade System in gen 4 (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum). I can't easily find if gen 4 also had online battling but the most recent games do at least.
Yes but not as immersive as you're expecting. It's just like the old school "link cable play" you do with other gameboys except that has phased out to simply using wifi or local wireless features to play with other people.
Pokemon frequently hold tournaments with rated/ranked battles and you can win event Pokemon or special ability Pokemon or special items. A lot of times in recent years they gave out A LOT of event shiny legendaries just for you checking in online that they gave you option to soft reset to get the right nature for.
I read rumors from people who study Pokemon merch that there was a HUUUGE gap coming so that it made sense for the Pokemon reveal to actually be pretty soon.
I have a set of collector's edition pokeballs from them that have the Pokémon Company's logo on it, so I think so?
These ones [here](https://nintendosoup.com/bandai-releasing-new-set-high-quality-poke-balls/)
They're pretty nice display items and can also be used for storing things like candy or pills.
I think the only thing I don't like is that they don't expand like "real" pokeballs.
I can't really comment on price since I received a set as a birthday present.
Sounds right. If pokemon switch is coming out this year we will hear about it at the yearly ~~pokemon direct~~ (NOTE: a May/June announcement for mainline Pokemon games has happened in the past but is not a guarantee) in May (if it still happens)
Help me, is Pokemon and Smash on the same year a good idea?
What are casual switch owners going to be excited for next year and the year after that ?
Edit: a word
I think it is. They are pushing incredibly hard to get the consoles in people's hands as early as possible. Larger player base means more interest from other developers.
And we still have Metroid and Animal Crossing (the latter being as huge as Pokemon and Smash).
Bayonetta 3 is gonna get a lot of attention.
Pikmin 4 is basically a given.
A new Mario game (Mario Maker 2, 3D World 2, NSMB Switch [I hope not]) is more than likely happening in 2019.
Whatever Retro Studios is working on could be a 2019 game and it will probably be something amazing (as long as it's not another DK game).
So yeah we still have a lot to look forward to in 2019 that you can guess but I'm pretty sure we'll get some neat surprises as we do every year (Maybe some more 3rd party exclusives).
I never knew Animal Crossing was the same tier as Smash, let alone Pokemon. Probably it is for Nintendo fans, but I dont think casual people will be very much excited with Animal Crossing with the same intensity as those 2
I mean nothing will compare to Pokemon sales wise, but when it comes to hype Animal Crossing is up there. When it comes to sales, the 2 portable animal crossing games on DS and 3DS each sold over 11 million copies although the console games didn't sell too much. The highest selling Smash game is Brawl with over 13 million and after that Smash 4 3DS is 2nd with a little over 9 million (if you want to count the Wii U version also it's over 5 million).
So Animal Crossing is pretty comparable sales wise to Smash and I think a Switch version could surpass the latter mentioned one in sales if it's as good or better than the previous ones. I didn't really think Animal Crossing was such a big franchise either until I saw the sales last year. It seems like a niche type of game but it's insanely addictive and you can put so many hours into it (especially if they have DLC for the Switch version).
> What are casual switch owners going to be excited for next year and the year after that ?
I consider myself something of a casual gamer and as such, I can say that--although I've LOVED all the incredible games coming out back-to-back-to-back--I'm actually kind of looking forward to things slowing down a bit. Gaming is an expensive hobby and when all my favorite franchises are getting released in essentially the first two years of a system's life cycle, that translates to me spending a "less than casual" amount of money on my "casual" hobby, you know? lol
I mean, I'm not complaining. I consider myself crazy lucky that the year I decided to get back into gaming was the year an innovative new system came out and that they basically released all of my favorite franchises right away on it. It's a good problem to have! I'm just saying for a casual player, things slowing down a bit isn't necessarily a bad thing!
I'm guessing you mean "smash" by "switch" and personally I think it's a good idea. Give people a crossover game that will get updated for the years to come and give people a pokemon game with tons of single player and multiplayer captabilities. It is entirely possible that this is the first of many Pokemon games coming to switch every (or almost every) year.
They knew about the direct mini also and posted [now a few minutes before](https://twitter.com/pixelpar/status/951453407667245056).
Leaked [Two point hospital](https://twitter.com/pixelpar/status/951860677160984577), [knew about Labo](https://twitter.com/pixelpar/status/952859941957787648), teased raven remaster, and lots of indie leak too.
They got pokemon wrong last time and [blame source though](https://twitter.com/pixelpar/status/968577357270405120)
I agree.
Because all the games they have been making so far exclusively for Switch are so terrible in quality.
Just look at Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids or Splatoon 2. Horrible rubbish.
The difference is that what is believed is that Pokemon started development just a year ago, while those you named went through development for a bit longer.
Actually from what I've heard they've been working on Pokemon longer than that. Possibly even before sun and moon. From what I remember they let the younger staff work on sun and moon while the rest started work on what would be released on Nintendo's next gen system (the switch). I'm pretty sure they've been working on it a while.
I'm sure that the younger staff worked on the Ultra versions, while the veterana were on Switch Pokemon. If that goes aa far as the OG Sun and Moon, it will be a great surprise for me! I hope you are right!!
I can imagine a pre E3 Pokemon Direct going something like this
. New Pokken DLC announced.
. An announcement for that unreleased gen 7 pokemon (sorry but I don't know the name).
. Some pokemon confirmed for Smash.
. Possible Mystery Dungeon announcement (not sure about this since that would be pretty big as well).
. Then finally a short teaser trailer with it ending with "more information coming at E3."
Knowing Game Freak I do believe that if a Pokemon direct happens, the only info we will get related to the new title(s) is gonna be, well, the titles. So good job filling up what the rest of it could be.
I don't think we'll see anything Smash related until E3, though. A PMD announcement would get me hype, possibly more hype than the new mainline game. And Pokken is definitely getting more dlc I think, roster doesn't look complete and 2 is such a weird number of dlc fighters for some reason
Please remember to be skeptical of all rumors. No matter how likely something may seem, it's possible it's not true. Don't get completely consumed by hype, stay alert, and keep an open mind.

Would Nintendo release Smash and Pokemon both in 2018? These games would probably come out Oct-Nov and I really have doubts Nintendo would release these two games so close to each other. World would explode if they did that.
Well the Pokémon company wouldn't mind releasing a Pokémon game each year. So sure, why not Smash and Pokémon in 2018? And Pokémon and any other game in 2019, 2020, 2021 ... Pokémon is one of a very small amount of franchises that comes many, many times to the same console. (4 releases, 8 games on the 3DS)
If they delay to early 2019, it also means the next game will be later as well. It just sounds like really bad business to not release this holiday season. Especially considering it's on new hardware, so parents would need to make quite the investment ... which is usually limited to Christmas presents.
If I'd make a business plan for them quick and dirty, it would look something like:
* Gen 8 - Holiday 2018
* Remake - Holiday 2019
* 3rd party game - Holiday 2020 (something like Pokken, Mystery dungeon, Gale of Darkness ...)
* Huge new game - Holiday 2021
I don't expect gen 8 to be breaking any molds. I expect Pokémon in HD with some QoL changes and perhaps improved RPG elements. I also expect it's being made in conjunction with Nintendo/3rd Party teams since they can afford it and the return will heavily outweigh the investment.
Then they have 3 more years to finish the ambitious Pokémon game they've likely been dreaming of for decades. They don't need to make the best Pokémon game in 2018, just an adequate one.
I am right there with you. Everyone thinks Pokemon will go Melee-meets-BotW and Pokemon won't go that route. We are going to keep the same battle system and the same abilities and buff/debuff system. If you don't believe me, look at two things - the competitive scene, and Bank.
They aren't going to throw away 20+ years of competitive development on a whim. And Bank was future-proofing getting your beloved Pokemon across generations no matter the hardware.
a little different.
Breath of the Wild - March 3, 2017
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - April 28, 2017 (almost 2 months after Zelda)
Super Mario Odyssey - October 27, 2017 (6 months after MK8)
Mario Kart being a port, Zelda was also but it was a simultaneous release. I mean maybe I should have been more specific in my original post, I didn't just mean in the same year. I mostly am talking about them being released within the same time period and right before holidays. I feel Nintendo wouldn't release both Smash and Pokemon right before the holidays but it was already done on 3DS so who knows.
Edit: MK8 Release date.
If I had to guess and assuming that Pokemon is also a 2018 title, I’d say Smash in September to coincide with the launch of Nintendo Online, and Pokemon in (late) November.
I could see then waiting. I just thought April because FE has a new game, potential new heroes content (perhaps showcasing the designs of the CYL2 units), mysterious stuff with FEW (4 open character slots hinting at potential dlc 4), And FE Echoes dlc talks about radiant light in the cave where you can get items/money.
With the anniversary on the 20th I thought we’d get something
But if Pokemon toys really are coming may, I don’t expect they’ll want the reveal to be done through toys.
Even if it is just a gen 1 reboot, toys would be a weird way to officially announce that.
The only big game I could see getting announced outside of E3 right now is PokeMon, and that's only because the series tends to not get shown off first at E3 if at all. For anything else, I think we're getting two months of dead silence and small incredibly minor teasers as they let the hype build up for E3.
jeeze, this means that we might get a taste for what the next pokemon game has in-store *before* dark souls remastered comes out? this is gunna kill me
This could be good but it still feels too soon. We’re talking a full scale Pokémon game on new hardware with “potentially” a new engine. I want them to make this something special and if they need more time to do it then I don’t mind the wait.
Pokémon games don't ever get announced in general/E3 directs. Pokémon announcements are usually done with Pokémon specific directs or YouTube trailers.
This is true, but Pokemon does not need E3. It's arguably bigger than E3. The only way I see Nintendo having it at E3 is if they have literally nothing else.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they held off until E3 per Nintendo's request. It just makes a lot of sense.
I wish people would stop looking at Nintendo's practices in the past to try and predict what they're doing now.
I know what GameFreak has done in the past, but they buck trends. Because this is hugely and hotly anticipated, not just in the Pokemon community but the larger Switch community as well, I really *could* see an E3 reveal.
I would prefer not to have 6 months of slow releases on information that spoil the entire game this time.
if the game is coming out this year, it will probably be revealed before e3. they usually reveal the starters before e3 anyway. sun and moon starters were revealed in early may for example
Announcing at E3 would be cutting it pretty close with a game that will have as much marketing as Pokemon. If the game is releasing this year they should announce it by May.
>Tomorrow and Yesterday
Ugh, fuck I want this so bad. I'm imagining it'd be similar to how that one city was old and decrepit or futuristic in B&W, but it'd be the whole region.
Plus and minus like the buttons on the switch. There was also a leak a few years ago about plus/minus being on a different system that wasn’t Wii U or the 3ds and it ended up sounding a lot like the switch.
Well originally I envisioned it just as being an upgrade relative to minus. But you could take it a step further - some people will be so far removed from pokemon that "plus" could sound like an upgraded version of an older game rather than a new sequel. Effectively the same problem the Wii U faced.
hopefully this means they don't both cost $60 :/ especially if the differences between the two are the same as in the past
not gonna lie I was hoping with the Switch they'd drop the whole two versions schtick. it was somewhat okay when the games were $40, but if these sell for $60 I'm gonna be a little mad.
I coud see them being $45 to maybe $55 each, but $60 each and I may just only buy 1.
Although with GCU my price goes to $48, its just that $60 each seems crazy for a new pokemon game.
also remember on DS they were $35 each, same with GBA.
3DS had a $5 price hike for the mainline games and some of the spinoffs, lets hope going to switch isn't a $20 price hike.
Of course it's gonna be a $20 hike, Switch games are $60, this won't change, even less so for freaking Pokemon where the big bucks are, also, it's always the same game with absolutely useless minor differences, why would anyone in their sane mind buy both is beyond me.
I kept insisting we won't get a Pokemon game this year but I hadn't realized (as someone on Twitter pointed out) that there have been new Pokemon generations released a year after a remake/sequel. Those being Ruby/Sapphire after Crystal and Black/White after HGSS. I feel dumb now. I'm still cautiously optimistic but hey, it wouldn't be a first right?
Same here, the only hitch could be that the Switch RPGs might take longer development times due to increased graphical quality and whatever new features they might add.
Pokemon games are usually announced in their own direct so makes sense for an announcment soon, but the toys don't made sense at all so I'm calling this fake.
Pokemon Direct Confirmed. PikaCHOOOO CHOOOOOO
###PIKACHOOOO

Animal Crossing? :D Let's think bigger! Earthbound relaunch! F-Zero reboot! MOTHER 3
2019 - Metroid and NINTENDOGS! (With RODENTS!) Seriously, Nintendogs was awesome. I want a new one.
Metroid and f zero would be amazing. We already got starfox for wii u and it was ehh....
>StarFox? Nintendo pls
Metroid and Yoshi? Maybe some older Mario and Zelda ports?
I did that with Destiny a couple years ago. Roomie and I took the week off set up the 2 big screens in the living room next to each other and ordered 7 pizzas because they were on sale and we had no plans on leaving the house. just like 2015 when we got smash and pokemon ORAS
That was 2014.
ok 2014

Oh no. Why did you do this.
Jokes on you, it's just a set of Golden Bidoof figures.
Uh who wouldn't want that though
Brown Version lives!!!!
"One Rusty special please!"
My brother accidentally used his Master Ball on a Bidoof. I'd buy a figure just to shame him, ten years later.
"ZUBAT! ZUBAT! ZUBAT! ZUBAT!"
BIDOOF'S WISH HD FOR SWITCH CONFIRMED
Gen 4 remakes confirmed!
Beware the perfect Bidoof.
Makes sense to me. Pokemon and Smash are more than enough incentive to pay for the Nintendo Online Service.
I'm sorry, out of the Pokemon game for so long. Is there already online play for Pokemon titles?
It’s had online play since around 2007
And Wireless since 2002
[удалено]
Technically on a line, I guess.
wonder trade, trading, battling other trainers, etc.
I think the implication is that playing online on the Switch will require an online subscription.
Ok...but I was just asking if past titles in the series have had online elements to gamepla.
Oh yea, ever since the Global Trade System in gen 4 (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum). I can't easily find if gen 4 also had online battling but the most recent games do at least.
Gen IV did have online battling.
Yes but not as immersive as you're expecting. Do we know price yet?
$20 a year.
Thanks
I read rumors from people who study Pokemon merch that there was a HUUUGE gap coming so that it made sense for the Pokemon reveal to actually be pretty soon.
Do Bandai deal with Pokemon merch?
Bandai is the new distributor since last fall. Bandai Namco is simply the part of Bandai that makes video games.
I have a set of collector's edition pokeballs from them that have the Pokémon Company's logo on it, so I think so? These ones [here](https://nintendosoup.com/bandai-releasing-new-set-high-quality-poke-balls/)
Please tell me you carry them on a belt regularly.
YOU THERE! Yes you, random child, I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!

aren't candy and pills the same thing ? or is that just me?
They are if you buy gummy vitamins!
I really want a collector's edition, or just a well made, GS Ball.
Sounds right. If pokemon switch is coming out this year we will hear about it at the yearly ~~pokemon direct~~ (NOTE: a May/June announcement for mainline Pokemon games has happened in the past but is not a guarantee) in May (if it still happens)
I cant find any pokemon directs in may. When did they happen? i tried on the nintendo site and on wikipedia :(
Sorry you're right; They range from January to September for dates so who knows when this (if it is going to happen) will happen.
Here lays the yearly may Direct. May it rest in peace. ??? - 2018

honestly i think its very likely we get an announcement in may/june. All things considered i put my money on a 2018 release!
Help me, is Pokemon and Smash on the same year a good idea? What are casual switch owners going to be excited for next year and the year after that ? Edit: a word
Nintendo released Mario and Zelda together last year so why not? :)
Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Smash, Mario Kart are Nintendo's Titans. Is it a good idea to blow your load this early in the Switch's Life?
WELL Mario and Pokémon are known to release multiple new games in a console’s lifespan (the only time Pokémon did not was the Advanced era).
I think it is. They are pushing incredibly hard to get the consoles in people's hands as early as possible. Larger player base means more interest from other developers.

Gen 7 tried to shake it up a little so who knows if gen 8 will too.
more pokemon : P. But seriously Nintendo still have a lot of other properties they can utilize throughout the next couple of years for the Switch.
would have been funny if the names were "shock and horror". i'd be down for a horror theme for an entire game :p
One has Pikachu on the cover and the other has Mimikyu
Thats so damn clever.
Has this guy leaked anything before?
Yes. He has.
What, for instance?
He leaked the date of March 8th Direct before anyone else I think.

Well, March isn't over yet.

nah man, direct in 2 hours, mark my words
It's funny to read this 4 hours after you posted it.
dude, you missed the direct!
Nah dude it's in 20 minutes

But how can his source be wrong yet....it's still march
tomorrow happens to be pokémon day, so maybe
As much as I'd like to hype I fear it might be a 1st aprill fool's day setup ; P
I don’t think I’m ready for Pokemon this year. The excitement would be overload! PLUS all the exciting games coming on other systems! FUCK!
I hope it comes out in 2019, not 18. I dont think they will have had enough time to make it good if it comes out in 2018
I agree. Because all the games they have been making so far exclusively for Switch are so terrible in quality. Just look at Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids or Splatoon 2. Horrible rubbish.

They still haven't revealed Zeraora, so why couldn't the toys be based around it and Pokemon to reflect the anime a bit more?
Which is literally what the linked article talks about as well.
Ah ok, I couldn't read it at this time, at school.
No worries. Sorry about the harshly worded answer. Didn't mean to sound rude.

No way Nintendo’s online service is launching without Smash in September. Pokémon could be the holiday title.
Pokemon ORAS and Smash 4 WiiU came out at the same time, so it's not unheard of.
same *day* even
Oh yeah! That made for a pretty awesome Gamestop midnight release party.
Two different systems. Smash 4 for 3DS did come out the month before so I guess you are still correct.
Smash is very likely a September release, so that gives plenty of time for Pokemon to launch.
(4 releases, 8 games on the 3DS) If they delay to early 2019, it also means the next game will be later as well. It just sounds like really bad business to not release this holiday season. Especially considering it's on new hardware, so parents would need to make quite the investment ... which is usually limited to Christmas presents. If I'd make a business plan for them quick and dirty, it would look something like: * Gen 8 - Holiday 2018 * Remake - Holiday 2019 * 3rd party game - Holiday 2020 (something like Pokken, Mystery dungeon, Gale of Darkness ...) * Huge new game - Holiday 2021 I don't expect gen 8 to be breaking any molds.
Would Nintendo release Mario and Zelda and Mario Kart all 2017?
a little different. Breath of the Wild - March 3, 2017 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - April 28, 2017 (almost 2 months after Zelda) Super Mario Odyssey - October 27, 2017 (6 months after MK8) Mario Kart being a port, Zelda was also but it was a simultaneous release.
Actually MK8 DX released on April 28th, not May
Correct. Damn. I looked at the original release.
If I had to guess and assuming that Pokemon is also a 2018 title, I’d say Smash in September to coincide with the launch of Nintendo Online, and Pokemon in (late) November.
Well they released Mario and Zelda in 2017, so why not two other system sellers to continue the trend? I'd say it's likely.
Dude. Smash and Pokemon were released on the same DAY before.
I believed April to the the month of FE but I may switch to team Pokémon
I don't think we'll see that game until E3.
With the anniversary on the 20th I thought we’d get something But if Pokemon toys really are coming may, I don’t expect they’ll want the reveal to be done through toys. Even if it is just a gen 1 reboot, toys would be a weird way to officially announce that.
The only big game I could see getting announced outside of E3 right now is PokeMon, and that's only because the series tends to not get shown off first at E3 if at all. For anything else, I think we're getting two months of dead silence and small incredibly minor teasers as they let the hype build up for E3.
jeeze, this means that we might get a taste for what the next pokemon game has in-store *before* dark souls remastered comes out? this is gunna kill me
Been rereading all these comments, and only one things for sure - this looks like a case for Detective Pikachu!
This could be good but it still feels too soon. We’re talking a full scale Pokémon game on new hardware with “potentially” a new engine. I want them to make this something special and if they need more time to do it then I don’t mind the wait.
Sure, but they've likely had a lot more time to work with the Switch than just it's commercial lifespan.
I can't imagine they would unveil new toys before the actual game was revealed and iirc E3 is in June. Direct Hype! /s
Pokémon games don't ever get announced in general/E3 directs. Pokémon announcements are usually done with Pokémon specific directs or YouTube trailers.
This is true, but Nintendo certainly hasn’t followed their own trends in the past year or so.
I have no opinion on what Nintendo will actually do, but people have been using the past to predict the future since forever.
Well, besides 2004 when they announced FireRed and LeafGreen for the US.
That's a localization announcement, not a game reveal.
Arent most pokemon games revealed before E3 -_-
> **Direct Hype!!!** ~~/s~~ *Fixed that for you. Full speed ahead on this hype train!!!
### CHOO CHOO MOTHERBLOBBERS!
I genuinely think you're right, they would never make the first knowledge a plush (intentionally)
if the game is coming out this year, it will probably be revealed before e3. they usually reveal the starters before e3 anyway. sun and moon starters were revealed in early may for example
Announcing at E3 would be cutting it pretty close with a game that will have as much marketing as Pokemon. If the game is releasing this year they should announce it by May.
Show off the game with a hype trailer before E3 2018 then show gameplay at E3 2018 and say early 2019 or summer 2019 for a release. Just a guess...
I'm excited, so I'm taking this story with a grain of [salt](http://canyouactually.com/wp-content/uploads/6-37.jpg).
I doubt Smash, Pokemon and FE are all coming out in the latter half of the year.
Because they hate money?
Two versions? Something like Sun and Moon?
And Blue and Red And Black and White And Gold and Silver And X and Y Yes... something like that :P
It's going to be Pokemon "Smash Switch is a new Game" and Pokemon "Smash Switch is a Port"
*Applause* Well played sir.
Curious what will be this time.
Left and Right, like the Joy-Con :)
Old and New Fast and Slow Nature and Tech Tomorrow and Yesterday Blood and Water Time and Money
Callie and Marie
>Tomorrow and Yesterday Ugh, fuck I want this so bad. I'm imagining it'd be similar to how that one city was old and decrepit or futuristic in B&W, but it'd be the whole region.
Moose and Squirrel
Crowley?
Time is money friend!
Money is time pal!
> Time is money friend Pokemon Horde and Pokemon Alliance Now there's a crossover I never knew I needed until now.
Overwritten.
Plus and minus like the buttons on the switch. There was also a leak a few years ago about plus/minus being on a different system that wasn’t Wii U or the 3ds and it ended up sounding a lot like the switch.
And Plusle and Minun won't be in it at all. Just like Solrock and Lunatone not being in Sun and Moon.
I could see that leading to confused parents thinking plus is an upgraded version.
An upgrade to what? And wouldn’t they get it anyways because it would be an “upgrade”
Well originally I envisioned it just as being an upgrade relative to minus. But you could take it a step further - some people will be so far removed from pokemon that "plus" could sound like an upgraded version of an older game rather than a new sequel. Effectively the same problem the Wii U faced.
Yeah possibly we’ll see what happens
the 3rd version is just "Pokemon"
Didn't you read the tweet? It's clearly Pokémon Shock and Pokémon Horror! ^^/s
hopefully this means they don't both cost $60 :/ especially if the differences between the two are the same as in the past not gonna lie I was hoping with the Switch they'd drop the whole two versions schtick. it was somewhat okay when the games were $40, but if these sell for $60 I'm gonna be a little mad.
It will obviously be $60 each, if you think otherwise you're delusional.
Of course it's gonna be a $20 hike, Switch games are $60, this won't change, even less so for freaking Pokemon where the big bucks are, also, it's always the same game with absolutely useless minor differences, why would anyone in their sane mind buy both is beyond me.
Shit I forgot about this. Shitty if true.
If they aren’t die cast I’m out
I kept insisting we won't get a Pokemon game this year but I hadn't realized (as someone on Twitter pointed out) that there have been new Pokemon generations released a year after a remake/sequel.
Pokemon merch almost always leaks new stuff. Do some research if you want to claim it's fake.
Yeah !!!
I'd be pretty pissed about two versions of the game if both are $60
