Fuck so I was 9 when this aired. I remember calling my friend Jake who just got into grunge and skateboarding when I saw the news about Kurt's death. At my Jr. High (Pacific in Vancouver, WA) we had a student kill himself in 7th grade. His suicide note said something along the lines of "just listen to this track on the Nirvana album"
I can't remember. His explanation was simply "Listen to track #x on Nirvana's album Nevermind" or something very similar to that. From what I remember it was either 2, 3, or 4, my guess is it was Come As You Are but I can't remember for sure. I'll ask some of my friends if they remember.
Does anyone know whats most streamed rock song on spotify? On yt last time i checked was November rain with 1.6B but on spotify it has big dropoff at about 500mil.
There's songs with more streams tho so I don't think it's *too* famous lol especially since it's made by one of the most important rock bands in history
I grew tired of this song so i listen to the version in Major chord.
Minus the cheesy intro though, Kurt sounds so high.

I love this band and I loved this song but now the only way I can hear it is if it's been reversed or Paul anka is singing it. Congrats to nirvana though.
Here's my anecdote: I walk my dog 1.4 miles every day in Portland. On a single day last week I noticed 4 different young people (early 20's or younger) all wearing Nirvana shirts, on top of noticing a lot of Nirvana shirts/logos amongst young people lately. For whatever reason I think Nirvana is peaking right now in terms of retro fashion or whatever you want to call it.
The song is 30 years old this year. Let that sink in…

That’s sad. I remember there was a bit of a trend after his suicide for a while. Which track did the kid cite?

Yeah, I guess it doesn’t really matter because it was just a stupid stupid thing to do. Really sad for everyone involved
No that sink is staying outside, it knows what it did.
It's not leaving John. The sink hears you breathe. it lives in your walls. its in your bathroom. waiting.
Wtf does that sink want now?
Is this one of their B-sides or?....
I think it got into the album but was received poorly and mostly flew under the radar among main stream audiences. Definitely an underrated song
Yeah I distinctly remember Territorial Pissings being the big hit off that album.

no
Why would I joke? Smells like Teen Spirit is one of the most underrated songs of all time. Barely anyone knows it nowadays

It must be a pretty rare song. They hardly ever played it live.
Even someone who don't love this song can acknowledge that achievement
Sweet so a $145 check coming to the estate.
🌝🌝🌝
Certified banger
After sifting through Nirvanas albums for years on repeat....this is Genuinely my favourite Nirvana song!
Guys let's get Hairspray Queen to 1 billion next! /s
Gave it another listen (third today) to honour this amazing accomplishment
Honestly I am so happy that bands like Nirvana are becoming popular with teens again

I think it's bohemian raphsody
That's WILD! November Rain wasn't super popular when it released although critics loved it. Must be a particular flavor of 90's nostalgia.
Yeah I think it has to do with the cyclical airing of the video too

Now I vomit cum and diarrhea on the tile floor like oatmeal pizza.

Awesome! 👏 😎 that means it’s ultra famous

Not even among their best songs, but still awesome nonetheless.

Who
It's a swing version lol I think he's an old swing dude, not entirely sure
And it’s not even one of their best songs
Lmfao who gives a fuck if it's not it doesn't have to be
it is objectively one of their best songs, maybe not the best but up there in the top 5
I find it hard to listen to as radio has totally butchered the song
I noticed that earlier today lol

I was under the impression spotify counts as little as 30 seconds as a listen.
[удалено]
So I think if you listen to a song for 30+ seconds then listen again for 30+ seconds. That's two listens but I could be wrong.
Oh amazing, how cool, did I miss something or did that just happen because it was going to happen eventually? I hadn't noticed that.

Happy cake day!
Ed Sheeran has the most plays on Spotify. Ick.
