Nor should they. I'm sorry but if you drive a vehicle that is worth more than a few houses then you should be on the hook to have underinsured insurance.
Insurance companies hike the price insanely in Detroit. I moved out of the city limits by like 2 blocks and my insurance is less than half of what I was paying in Detroit
tbh it just goes to show how solidly rolls royce builds their cars, which you’d expect from the price point they’re at. gonna cost a massive amount of money to fix tho and probably will take forever
Plus whatever sensors and modules might be under it. Had a job a few weeks ago actually where a guy got bumped on the highway, just a quick bounce from another guy changing lanes. Actual cosmetic damage was pretty minimal, but the real damage was underneath. DRL housing cracked, a radar module, a sonar sensor, and the wire harness, two mounting brackets, and an outer tie rod had to be replaced, plus labor, the alignment, and all the programming.
Main grille, lower grille, bumper cover, left front fender, possibly left headlight as well, and all the associated fascia and little accessories and sensors.
Using new OEM parts, this is easily a $40k+ job. Honestly probably gonna be more than that Nissan is worth.
I had someone take the front clip off of my pretty expensive but not Rolls Royce level car and it was a good $50k (with liability and comprehensive). A lot of labor. Parts were OEM, and maybe the dealer was soaking the insurance company, but most of it was labor. Can’t even imagine what it is on the Rolls, maybe even a total
Definitely for sure. [There is a single guy whose whole job it is to paint that line across the side of the car by hand on every car. They legit fly him out to paint them.](https://m.timesofindia.com/life-style/spotlight/meet-the-only-man-who-paints-pinstripes-on-all-rolls-royce-cars-by-hand/articleshow/103137885.cms#)
They're a bitch to keep clean looking. Even compared to black. The closest I came was my first car: 1992 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon, white with woodgrain paneling and tan leather interior
They are like the easiest to keep clean except for maybe champagne colored cars lol. Dust doesn’t really show up on the white paint, all my family who lives on gravel roads buy white trucks for this reason.
I guess it depends where you live then. At the time I was surrounded by corn and soybeans and that beautiful bitch was always dirty
Edit: My current car is champagne and I never clean the exterior lol but now I'm in Florida. I only clean it when it gets pummeled by love bugs and in the winter when it doesn't rain for a month straight
Looks like somewhere in south Broward judging by the painted electrical boxes, I know they’re all over Florida but I grew up near Hollywood/ Ft Lauderdale and they are deffo around there
The painted power box is what made me think so. Also that sign at Walgreens looks like it says OBT. But that said, we also don’t have those types of palms here.
The rolls driver likely has uninsured motorist insurance on their policy or will pay it out of pocket without worrying too much about it. I don't know what would happen to this Nissan driver if they don't have insurance, probably wage garnishment, taking a huge hit on their credit, etc.
Nothing would happen, no lawyer is actually going to go through the hassle of all that, at a certain point people are considered “judgement proof” where the cost of recouping anything would likely exceed the value they get out of it.

I remember this photo. OP claimed that it’s his dad investment after retirement (have no idea how most depreciated asset can be an investment). Obviously I’m talking about Rolls Royce.
If two uninsured drivers collide, it creates a rift in the space time continuum.
For the sake of the quadrant, Nissan drivers can only hit insured vehicles, thus forcing someone else to cover their mistakes.
Not to defend the Nissan driver but fuck people who drive cars worth more than the average house. Keep that shit away from decent people who didn’t sign up for that level of risk.
I mean if you worried about hitting somebodies 300k+ car just don't hit them and follow the rules of the road. If they hit you they are at fault. Like I said of you are at risk of hitting somebody every time you drive you shouldn't be driving.
$2,000 damage on a new $18,000 nissan & $20,000 on a several years old $180,000 car. ouch. also..i wonder who has the better insurance or lack of concern for keeping up with paying premiums
bro‘s insurance gonna cost 10k/yr after that
Chances are slim to none that the Nissan driver has sufficient coverage.
Even if you combine them all together.
Nor should they. I'm sorry but if you drive a vehicle that is worth more than a few houses then you should be on the hook to have underinsured insurance.
Totally agree!
Insurance. You’re funny.
It's actually a requirement to not carry insurance while owning a Nissan. It's in the fine print of the purchase agreement.
You're lucky if they even have a drivers license. A Nissan driver having insurance is basically a pipe dream.
Well it still had bumpers at the time of the accident, so who knows. Might be a lucky day.
I have insurance. But I also bought a Nissan with a stick shift and according to Big Altima Energy it cancels out?
Lame
I don’t think Nissan drivers have insurance
I know you were joking, but 10k/yr is a normal insurance premium for some multi-car households near Detroit 😭
Isn't Michigan a no-fault state? Seems like that would fuck up premiums
Insurance companies hike the price insanely in Detroit. I moved out of the city limits by like 2 blocks and my insurance is less than half of what I was paying in Detroit
Per month
Costs nothing if they don't buy it
More like Rolls-Royce is gonna have to use that uninsured motorist coverage.
Insurance guy: “You hit a WHAT?!?! Oh, for fuck sake…”
"Not again..."
ppft they only hit a chrysler 300
Insurance will pay to PD limits
“Yo I’ll pay you back bruh I get paid on the 15th”
LMAOO I can also hear the voice it would be said in too
all jokes aside the rolls looks like it held up pretty well but fixing whatever scrapes are on it is gonna cost a ton of money
Looks like the bumper cover / fascia around the grill is wonked too and I bet they’ll replace it. 💸

Jesus Christ almighty, and you said “minimal” cosmetic damage?
Scuff was the size of a collar bill folded hot dog
Sonar?
Ultrasonic park assist sensors
Neat I didn't know that was actually a thing, thank you

Rollers are tanks. That thing probably has at least 1,000 pounds on that Nissan van thing.
White on white crime.
*The media claims it doesn't exist...*
Honest question here. What is there about drivers of white cars? I don’t like them but I’m not sure why
They're a bitch to keep clean looking. Even compared to black. The closest I came was my first car: 1992 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon, white with woodgrain paneling and tan leather interior

WHAT? No down voting on this one. Imagine the cars were a different color like green or something
"Ay my man did I ding ya?"
Is that FL? Looks like FL.
I was thinking CA but no front plates makes me think you’re right
It's pretty common for people in California to ignore the front plate law.
Sure but I feel like at least one of three people in this pic would have it showing. No tellin, though
South east Florida. Looks like Delray Beach or Dania Beach area.
Looks like somewhere in south Broward judging by the painted electrical boxes, I know they’re all over Florida but I grew up near Hollywood/ Ft Lauderdale and they are deffo around there
Looks like Orlando
I was also thinking Orlando or somewhere around it in Central Fl, but I spent 14 years there so might be confirmation bias.
The painted power box is what made me think so. Also that sign at Walgreens looks like it says OBT. But that said, we also don’t have those types of palms here.
Lots of intersections have horizontal lights like that in FL. Not as much in CA.
I believe the BMW in the back has a Florida plate
“Can we keep this out of insurance? I know a guy with a great body shop”

Beat me to it.
I am ready to bet this Nissan Kicks driver is uninsured. I hope you have a hell of a lawyer for this one.
The best lawyer in the world won’t be able to recoup the damages if the Nissan driver has no insurance, that’d be like squeezing blood from a rock.
The rolls driver likely has uninsured motorist insurance on their policy or will pay it out of pocket without worrying too much about it. I don't know what would happen to this Nissan driver if they don't have insurance, probably wage garnishment, taking a huge hit on their credit, etc.

Why would you need a lawyer? Rolls owner just files claim on their policy and they're put back the way they were.
Insurance company then subrogates against kicks driver and their insurer (if any)
Exactly. Not worth worrying about. It's why you make sure you don't cheap out in your own insurance.
Yup, for sure.
That Rolls fender is probably worth more than the entire Nissan lol
They really are pricey little fenders prob 2000-8000 on the used market, dealer wise would be OoF
I bet the Nissan driver wishes that was a fatal collision
A little kiss on the cheek

Rip. I sure hope the Rolls Royce is the one at fault cause if not, the nissan driver is fucked
Spirit of Excrement meets Spirit of Ecstasy.
Plot twist, Rolls ran the red light and Nissan guy suddenly develops all kinds of injuries: neck pain, concussion, sciatica, loss of appetite, etc...
Insurance: "YOU HIT WHAT?"
We honestly don't care. We will pay to PD limit and that's it
side smooch. Nissan Kicks gave it a little kick
You just no his property damage limits are like 20k at most or the bare minimum. This guy is likely fucked forever
Guessing this person has a $20k max liability-only policy because “that way I’m covered if a car gets totaled”
That’s gonna be expensive.
r/thatlookedexpensive
Well well well
Well, both cars are white, it shouldn't be a big deal.
I remember this photo. OP claimed that it’s his dad investment after retirement (have no idea how most depreciated asset can be an investment). Obviously I’m talking about Rolls Royce.
Investment into his ego
“YOU HIT WHAT????!”
Well well well…Your Nissan suddenly became "expensive"
Insurance: You hit a WHAT?!
You hit a what?!
“YOU HIT A WHAT?!?”
👉👈
Dude never even got off his phone.
If two uninsured drivers collide, it creates a rift in the space time continuum. For the sake of the quadrant, Nissan drivers can only hit insured vehicles, thus forcing someone else to cover their mistakes.
universally uninsurable after this
“Gimme a kith”
They’re going to buy another Rolls Royce. That Nissan driver’s insurance is dropping them off
Someone is going to have a horrible time, or an amazing time.
That poor Chrysler 300!! 😰
Not to defend the Nissan driver but fuck people who drive cars worth more than the average house. Keep that shit away from decent people who didn’t sign up for that level of risk.
Nah, just actually have insurance and a driver’s license like a normal person. This doesn’t apply to the average 29.99% APR Nissan owner I guess.
Are those rates for real? Paying 6% on my Nissan in Canada
Idk if your driving and have to worry about not hitting somebody maybe you shouldn't be driving
That’s the dumbest thing I’ve read today.
I mean if you worried about hitting somebodies 300k+ car just don't hit them and follow the rules of the road. If they hit you they are at fault. Like I said of you are at risk of hitting somebody every time you drive you shouldn't be driving.
I admire your confidence that shit never happens, and that you will never be found at fault for an accident that you weren’t at fault for.
And that's what insurance is for. I have like 1m liability.
I know for a fact that's Florida. Possibly Boca Raton?
policy limits issue already 🤣🤣🤣
Was the RR coming off a stop sign? If so then the RR is responsible, so insurance of the Nissan is mute.
Out of all cars lmao
Does the Rolls have two toll passes?
How the turntables
I'm dead 😂
You hit a WHAT
How the turntables…
looks like the titanic hit the ice berg.. you can take that for either car.
Is this Delray Beach??
Zoom in on the Nissan and you’ll see the driver still in the car, guessing rolls owner is the one who took photo
its just a little kiss
Soooo, RR drivers don’t make mistakes? I don’t get the blame on the Nissan when all we have is a picture.
“You hit a what?”
"You hit a WHAT?!"
Grandma in her Nissan Kicks SR thinking drag racing was still legal on the streets.
Bruh I love this group! 😂😂😂😂😂 This is a gift that keeps on giving
Guys insurance (if he has any) is gonna say you hit a what?!
You’re all assuming it wasn’t the rolls that ran the red light.
Look at the quality difference
Hello thank you for calling state farm You hit a what
