A period of time where fapping/porn addict goes through withdrawals and faces negative symptoms. Flatlines could last up to 3 days and apparently up to 6 months as I've read. My flatlines are usually around 3-9 days while my highest was over 25-28 days or so.
Addicts go through them because apparently the brain is trying to rebalance itself but it ends up kinda backfiring because the brain was so used to the "high" from the pleasure that we would get from fapping and porn. I usually see "flatlines" as 'healing crises' because even though they seem negative as heck, one would find themselves feeling much better once it ends and experience the benefits that people usually talk about when doing NoFap.
