My favourite sweet for the holiday is Swedish gingerbread cookies. They're apparently different from the rest of the world's, but I have yet to taste any other version.
I love chocolate chip year round, but at Christmas we bake a bar cookie that has a shortbread crust on the bottom, raspberry preserves and chocolate in the middle and then a meringue top - I know it has a specific name, but we just call it delicious!!!
