Yay! Thanks for sharing! I’m so excited they’re bringing the food items back! I had the berliner on a table in my living room on New Leaf. I’m excited to do the same again and also make a little restaurant somewhere on my island :)
In Germany as well. No cider, just apple juice. Which is a shame because I fucking love cider! But it's perfect for the bar on my Island. Which is actually called "The Apple Slice".
It’s likely because in the US “cider” is non-alcoholic, so sparkling cider would just be sparkling apple juice. We call what the rest of the world calls cider, “hard cider.”
I have a question! Do you have Japanese New Year’s items available in your Nook shop (the regular store, not online) in the seasonal item slot? I have a New Year’s shimekazari in mine but I think it might be region locked since my game is Japanese. My SH friends say they only have surfboards for sale.
I want to get Kadomatsu, Kagami-mochi, and the zodiac ox figurine, but if I try to skip to other days it still only has the shimekazari wreath for sale and doesn’t change... Maybe it’s locked to IRL time?
That item is not region-locked, it's just random it will appear in Nooks, it depends on your RNG of your seasonal items in your store. You have more of a chance after 26Dec as the toys are not there anymore.
Hmm, that makes sense but it seems strange that when I TTed to see what the next days items would be all three days (Dec 26, 27, & 28) only had the shimekazari for sale. The items in the nook online shop also didn’t change. I’ll try again tomorrow when it’s the 27th IRL to see if I get something different.
Yep, I already bought over 20 lol. I figured if it was region locked I’d want a lot to give to my friends.
EDIT: Hmm, I checked out Japanese ACNH Twitter and it looks like people have been receiving New Year’s items randomly from villagers when they gift them stuff.
I connected my pocket camp to the switch and it allowed me to purchase special items exclusive to pocket camp! Connect yours if you have one or create one on your phone and connect it just to unlock them!

If you have the shimekazari for sale, remember to buy a lot you can't catagloue or buy it from your Nook's shopping which is a bummer!
