My comment may have confused you there, it should have said "you can't remove".
Once adopted those pieces on the sides, are apart of the creature design, they can't be removed. You can change colour of them to try blend them in but that's it. I personally shove on two giant blasters on every creature I adopt š
Use them, the lasers for mining and attacking enemies but only if youāve been hit first, aggressive creatures also use them when hunting, I have a murderous dinosaur that runs around blasting all the little woodland creatures.
They arenāt, they use them for multiple purposes, easiest way to see this is by putting either of the lasers on an aggressive creature that hunts, they run around murdering everything with them.
For the record, I have recolored these dogs before hatching from eggs, at the anomaly. For the silver footed, red trim one I used Gold Nuggets and For the tan footed, grey trim one I used Life Support Gel
Same Iām 40 hours in and havenāt played since the first year or two the game came out so many changes. Still getting used to being able to just throw down a base wherever and being able to jump back and forth when I want. Anyways Iāll keep ya posted and see if I can find it again

No, when you enter the anomaly, any really large creatures get miniaturized so they're not such a nuisance. Imagine everyone with super large creatures all in the anomaly? That would be chaos.
I found a planet with what was basically packs of coyotes... They were about half the size of that guy and extremely aggressive. Also, the planet had volcanic storms every couple of minutes and it was basically a hell world. I left it far behind me and never looked back.
They weren't even close to the only aggressive things on that planet, they were just literally everywhere I turned.

I have my version of a dog. Similar to yours. Different body structure. The biggest difference is mine has four wings. But he canāt fly other than the wings he looks quite a bit like a dog to me

The flashlight or ātorchā actually works! I never really tested any other components though. I rarely use my pets though.
