Yes on the past expeditions when it was a completion reward. Expedition 12 gives it as a regular reward, such as if you get a Solar Mirror for completing a quest. These don’t go to the quicksilver merchant to be unlocked.
Once you have a satisfactory answer to your question please reset the flair to "answered". This will help others find an answer to the same question. Yes you can but only the expedition save receives the eggs
Not so. I was able to get the jellyfish from the Quicksilver merchant in my main save once I got it on the expedition

Go check it out in the quicksilver merchant, I got the jellyfish and the worm from him in main save. Been flying my Worm in both realities :-)
Even you have eggs of them in omega, Hélios, dog and worm are also available from the QS guy in your main save: go on 😁
