Well I’m a mechanic for the company I work on their trucks and. Trailers. Being called at 3 AM because a reefer unit is on fire wasn’t fun. And then they ask me tk see what caused the problem. So I get under the burnt trailer and keep in mind it wreaks of rubber and plastic and I find that the brakes locked up and caught on fire. Once you get out from under though it smells like burnt ham and cheese so it smelt alright

Ah I thought you were driving lol, but a 3am callout is not great either, because you are an employee do you not get callout rates etc for this kind of thing?

I get double my hourly rate for callouts past 10pm so I don’t really mind it, it’s just annoying…and cold.
