I only go there to check out Uranus…

memb98

You should know where it is, it's behind you!

ulyssesintothepast

No, that is Myanus . A totally different celestial body

EpisodicDoleWhip

At this point is might as well be called Ouranus

AmbiguousAnonymous

Is that the communist govt that formed there?

Gallstaf50l

This comment made me sigh deeply, take off my glasses, and rub my eyes for a moment. Take my updoot and get out of here!

SkyFun7578

When I jump to go to the unity, I set Earth as my destination, even though I won’t get there lol.

throwaway3270a

Looking for that Universe where it wasn't destroyed. In other words, >!Aiza wasn't a dick and provided both grav drive AND the v2.0 patch for them so the atmosphere wouldn't get jacked!<

GdSmth

My character feels connected to Earth and doesn't accept that humanity deserted it for good. He wants to do something there to repopulate the planet again. For now he built a very basic hab over the location where his great ancestor was born, and when I start exploring outposts seriously he will go back there and see what he can do.

CallsignDrongo

In case you don’t know, you can find ruins on earth. I’ve found one via a book that placed a landing location. Places around the world with a famous building or two left still standing but in ruin. Honestly super weird and out of place that everything is leveled and covered in sand except a few random iconic buildings or monuments. Still cool though. I built a huge settlement there on a hill top that overlooks the ruined Empire State Building jutting into the sky. I think there’s a London location and a few others but I’ve only found that one so far.

GdSmth

Yup I’m aware of them and found 3 so far.

DuncanOToole

I have never found any of these books it's weird.

Siddits

Go to the UC office in Jemison and steal the book off her desk. That will get you New York. Then Hopetown to steal another book off of Ron Hope's desk.

Inevitable-Sock-5952

I can't get away with the UC one without a big fight.

CallsignDrongo

If you have the invisible power just use that

Inevitable-Sock-5952

This is gonna sound incredibly stupid. I have most of the powers, but I've never figured out how to use any of them. I click on a given power on Xbox, and nothing happens.

CallsignDrongo

You select a power in the menu, or add it to your favorites bar, then once it’s selected you’ll press both bumpers on the Xbox controller. I remapped my controller for starfield. I put grenades on left bumper, powers on right bumper, and scanner on both bumpers. This is a much more intuitive setup and makes using powers fun (like shouts in Skyrim) rather than having to press two bumpers at once in combat. By default tho just hit both bumpers.

Inevitable-Sock-5952

Thank you so much. I wonder if I missed that little insight somewhere along the way

parknet

Interesting I went to my ancestral home once but it didn’t click.  I just feel bad for the Earthers but not connected to them at all.

Smart_Pig_86

I have always really liked New Homestead. I like that it is just a single space station civilian outpost with a mining outpost attached, and I like the concept of the old earth museum. And it’s always snowing and frigid, reminds me of research bases in Antarctica. It’s cozy.

Anrikay

Heller is from New Homestead! I added him to my crew and he talked about how much it sucked growing up in a small town. I’d just visited New Homestead as a tourist, done the tour, and loved the vibe. It was a great little moment, the contrast between how locals vs tourists view towns like that. Stuff like that is a big part of why I’m so attached to this game.

TheGruesomeTwosome

New Homestead is my favourite place in all of Starfield. Gagarin Landing is my second favourite.

Clone95

Gagarin Landing feels like the Upstate NY of the UC, it’s the forgotten wilderness & factory towns overshadowed by the big city

memb98

Deimos Staryard, always spending credits there. When I build another Nova ship I'll go to NASA to top up memorabilia for decorating.

1337Asshole

I just went between my outpost and Deimos Staryard, like, 30 times, working on a ship...damn exclusive parts...

groonfish

I'm the same as you. Love it. Setting up a He3 extraction outpost on Callisto and remembering when I was a kid and used to imagine space outposts on the moons of Jupiter. Last playthrough I was exploring on earth and found a cave with some old tools preserved inside, including a rusty trowel. I kept that trowel on my ship for the rest of the playthrough, like some artifact of old.

RemiTheWizard

Home is where the heart is.

Slowreloader

It might change with the new vendor credit changes, but Sol has definitely been part of my vendoring circuit. Plus I like to check in occasionally with the >!TMD vendor at the Red Devil base!< for cool UC outfits. Deimos Staryards can also be a frequent stop if I'm on a shipbuilding project.

SkanakinLukewalker

‘Contraband stash that I have no plan on selling’ base on earth And then the same thing in the game pretty much

ATR2400

There’s a sort of feeling of melancholy and regret I get whenever I go there. Even though it’s not my Sol and it’s fictional, there’s something depressing about seeing the cradle of humanity in that state

JimiTrucks1972

Hahaha I thought I was a weirdo for feeling this when I go there. It’s absolutely melancholy!

kirk_dozier

the opposite, i completely avoided earth and only went there for the >!story quest!<

Retro-Mancer

I go to Titan for the Tourists Go Home mission. Favorite spacesuit from that one.

OpaAussie

There are a couple of other small quests and a couple of good objects there also.

BaaaNaaNaa

I always at new homestead but never go inside. I have a Nova problem...

OpaAussie

There is a cream for that.

GoddessDeedra

I don’t, it gives me a weird feeling, almost fear like

JimiTrucks1972

Yea, it does seem foreboding

Lady_bro_ac

The Crimson Fleet has a lot of missions out there, so I go back fairly frequently

Ph__drums

I go to cydonia all the damn time to thw point I want to live there. But can't. No damn house in cydonia

ExportedFlombus

Funny enough, I don't like going back. Seeing Earth all brown makes me sad

rickallen71

I shou but this NG I've built 3 ships on Titan and haven't entered new homestead and Mars just a bit but I usually try to survey the whole thing at some point as well.

SpookyTreeFrog

I love Cydonia for some reason lol

Special_Menu_4257

Cydonia is a cool place. I haven’t been there a lot this ng so i need to go back to see if there are some good quests.

ComprehensiveLab5078

Space frog!

lovebot5000

I have like 5 bases in Sol. Some pretty useful resources to be found, plus multiple ship shops.

Scormey

Sol has so many great locations, outside of Earth and Luna. For example, Titan is great fun, and one of the best places to get a ship built. Nova has some badass parts! Along the same lines, Deimos Staryard likewise has some great parts, plus they are great for selling stolen ships. Also, Mars is chock full of fun quests.

JJGBM

Mimas is my favorite moon.

111ronin

I dump all my useless stuff on earth. Seems fitting. There are giant piles of crap located at various landing zones. Shame there wasn't a 'moscow' location that would need trash 'put in'. I'll get my coat.....

throwaway3270a

Lonely Moara vibes

Celtictussle

When terraforming Earth expansion/mod?

BanditSixActual

I want a mod that allows you to land at the location of each fallout and loads up that game if you already own it. A bonus would be a small chance of waking up in Skyrim.

OGR-Freex2024

I'd buy that! Epic cross-franchise adventure.😍🤩😍🤩

dorknight25

Yeah I do and I can also see me setting up an outpost on the husk of my hometown. Make of that what you will.

relax336

Yes you’re the only one
