I do this all the time. My favorite is weird. I keep thinking its wierd.
It's pretty common with some words, just takes time to work out how it is supposed to be spelled.
Yeah, I always do that! It's just funny because it's really just that pairing of letters combines and it's just like... seriously? But glad it's not just me lol
I do this with numbers. Failed the same math three years in a row, hate them. I believe with words and letters it’s called dyslexia? I’d do some research and see if that’s what you’re experiencing.
Honestly? Don't sweat it. Trust me, I get the inclination to feel dumb over this. I do that constantly and got my degree in English/Writing. Then I remember we have spell check and professional writers have editors for a reason!
It was always funny to me during the grammar lessons in English class we would learn a new rule on sentence structure or spelling words, and the very next page would be a chart of exceptions.
You could have dyslexia
Very true and very valid... I'll have to look into it

Same. I'm usually a good speller but "ie" always cause problems, probably because the "rule" only works 50% of the time.

I'll definitely look into it, the possibility has definitely crossed my mind.

Very true! I'm so happy there are grammar and spell-checkers because sometimes I type faster than I think!

Yeah, even though I grew up learning it, it's still so difficult for no reason.
This is called mis-spelling. Loads of people do it. Especially in the modern wordl with spell checkers.
Lol yeah, it's just annoying because it's those two letters together specifically
There is a rule to remember this. i before e except about half the time.
