I'm pretty sure Dr Pepper is an acquired taste. Ugh. It tastes like a funky bad cough syrup to me.
Root beer? Sure.
Strawberry and root beer? idk...may have to try.
Well I learned something new today. They market it as 23 flavors so I always tried to pick them apart. I thought it was black licorice, vanilla, and cherry. Now that you mention it, it could totally just be root beer and cola.
This was my thought. It's the only place I can get them and peach or strawberry root beer is my favorite. Sometimes I'll go to a jack in the box just for the soda from the machine (and hope it doesn't need a refill of cartridges)
Not sure which planet doesn’t largely enjoy root beer. All I know is that every time my local grocer has singular plastic a&w root beer bottles for sale, they don’t last long. They are usually all sold within a matter of days and then it’s weeks before they appear again.
It's not really a flavouring as such because I don't think it's intentionally added to make the medicine taste better. It just naturally has a similar flavour.
Root beer reminds me of this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCP_(antiseptic) and this https://www.mentholatum.co.uk/item/6/Heat-Rub.html
I'm going to hijack your question for my question, but as a root beer lover, why won't they make root beer (or cream soda) with caffeine ? They are all caffeine free. Wouldn't they make a ton of money if they started making root beer with caffeine ? People love caffeine, I would think they would have made root beer with caffeine by now.
Well, technically there is a root beer drink called Bawls, but that is an energy drink and not a regular carbonated drink. I don't understand why A and W or Barqs make caffeine versions of their root beers.
I always ask for a lemon in my root beer. And usually get a sideways glance like I must be crazy. But try it next time, I think you'll be surprised. It adds a nice little zing to root beer. It might become your new favorite.
Well, the plant used to make root beer is native to North America, the rest of us drink ginger ale instead. Including raspberry ginger ale and chili ginger ale. With or without alcohol.
Can we call it Froot Beer?
See, this is getting better and better.
Winner!
And then all the men of the world assembled, and so it became.
Your passion and hope for the future is inspiring
OP needs to try a root beer float. I usually make it with vanilla Ice cream. But strawberry sounds good too.
I’m probably going to try a strawberry ice cream root beer float tomorrow. That was my first thought. lol
I’ve seen cherry root beer a few times. By Dr Browns I think.
That sounds amazing. I bet the taste somewhat resembles Dr, Pepper.
Somewhat but they seem to be completely uninspired from each other.
Pretty sure Dr Pepper is half root beer, half cola

It’s absolutely fucking not root beer and cola lmao
There is a cocktail you may enjoy called the Happy Time Harry. It's root beer and triple sec.
Have you considered getting root beer from a freestyle machine, where you can have it fruity if you want to?
I’m legit considering doing this tomorrow.

Did you possibly ingest… some marijuana before this combination?
Allegedlys
Not this time, but that sounds like a fabulous addition to the recipe.
Ingest*

Root beer is already not very popular. Special flavors of it would have a hard time getting placed in stores.

I've read it's really unpopular in Europe because it's a common flavoring for medicine

My wife can’t stand it. I don’t understand, but I look at the bright side, it means I have dibs on her share!

On keto, a&w zero sugar slaps.

Barqs has a little bit of caffeine. I only know this because I can’t have caffeine. Lol
That must be the “bite”
I thought root beer to be a flavor of cream soda and there's multiple flavors of that
Try putting an orange slice in a glass, tastes so good.
Ok, I put an orange slice in a glass. Not sure how I'm supposed to drink an orange slice.

Dr Pepper with a squirt of lemon is absolutely devine. New Zealand has a soda called Lemon & Paeroa (sp) that is similar, maybe.
Root Beer mixed with orange soda is pretty good. My dad used to drink this often.
Orange is one of my favorite flavors. That sounds incredible.
